INJURED MAN (I)

In city A,

The outskirts of the developed city A were barren and secluded, no man was in the vicinity and then a car materialised out of nowhere. If anyone saw this, they would have died from a heartattack after witnessing such an absurd scene of the materialisation of the luxury car out of the air.

The car landed on the uneven land which resulted in the uneven landing.

The dazzling red car was now covered in dust which made the original dazzling car to look like an old and cheap car but the man behind the steering wheel did not seem to care about the condition of the car, the car made a thunderous sound and then shot forward like an arrow.

Li Jie who was in the driving seat was manoeuvring the car with ease. He had perfected his diving skills in his past life. During apocalypse, He had to perfect his skills because there were times when he would be in danger and he had to run for his life. These skills were still useful to him in this life.

Li Jie was still thinking about his past life when he saw someone coming in front of his ear through his peripheral vision.

Li Jie ie instantly stepped on the brakes which caused the fox who was sleeping beside him to roll down from the passenger seat and ended upon the car floor.

Ying Ying tried to sit up from that awkward position to look at Li Jie and ask him about the reason behind his actions.

Li Jie was already out of the car before Ying Ying could open his mouth to say anything.

Li Jie looked at the man who was sprawled across the hood of his car. Li Jie walked towards the man calmly. He raised his hand and put his fingers under the man's nostrils to check whether the man was breathing or not.

His eyes scanned the man in front of him which was in a half dead state. He was tempted to leave him there but before he could turn back. His gaze fell on the bloody hand that was clutching his shirt. Li Jie frowned while looking at his shirt which was crumpled and dyed and due to the blood.

Li Jie's eyes followed from the bloody hand to the side profile of the man, As the half of the man's face was on the car hood. The man was shorter than him, with a baby fare but his will to live was strong enough to impress Li Jie.

Li Jie immediately picked up the man carefully and laid him on the backseat of the car. Li Jie scanned the young man from his head to toe but shockingly there were no injuries on his body. Li Jie took some spirit water and a soaked towel from his space. Li Jie propped the injured man against his shoulders and fed him the water and used the soaked water to clean the blood from his face.

Li Jie was stunned looking at the man whose face was now clear of the dust and clotted blood. The man in front of him was a beauty with a baby face.

The young man's skin was fair without any blemishes, he would have been more pretty if his cheeks weren't sunken and dark circles under his eyes were ruining his looks.

Li Jie put his hand on the unconscious man's wrist and checked his physical state. After a few seconds Li Jie retrieved his hand and calmly closed the door and went to sit in the driving seat.

Ying Ying who was watching this was speechless because he knew better than anyone that Li Jie was not someone who was kind and would not help just anyone.

Ying Ying looked at the man in the backseat with an indescribable emotion in his eyes. This man was able to get Li Jie to treat him, he was no ordinary man.

Li Jie was driving the car without any idea that Ying Ying was thinking about the unconscious man and his relation with him.

Li Jie's gaze fell on his right hand, his fair hand was looking extremely beautiful against the black of the steering wheel. He could see the viens because of his thin and pale skin. His gaze followed from his distinct and long fingers to the white jade like bracelet on his thin and flexible wrist.

He recalled the time when the bracelet suddenly appeared on his wrist. When he claimed that he would retrieve the other pair of the sword, that time the sword in front of him started vibrating and humming and flew towards Li Jie forimg a shiny black arc in the air. Li Jie who was at the receiving end of the sword was shocked due to the sudden change of events, looking at the sword that was flying towards him, he was full of panic. " Am i going to die again?" Li Jie thought in his mind. The sword flew straight in his chest. He thought he is dead but soon he felt like thousands of needle were piercing his skin near the wrist area. He immediately raised his hand to see his hand. He was astonished when he saw some strange symbols forming on his skin, those symbols were shining with silver light. Under his gaze, he saw his whole wrist covered with a shiny silver colour which caused Li Jie to squint his eyes as he was unable to see anything due to the binding light. After few minutes, it turned back to normal.ton Li Jie tried to move his wrist, as soon as he turned his wrist he was stunned in place while looking at the white jade bracelet that was sticking to his skin and it looked like a snake coiled around his wrist, the tail was towards the inner wrist and the snake's hood was towards the joint where index finger meets with thumb. As for his eyes, two red orbes were shining on Li Jie's skin which looked they were embedded on Li Jie's skin. The whole thing made Li Jie's already beautifully shaped hand to look more beautiful as not anybody can look good in the purest of white jade.

Li Jie wanted to detach this bracelet from his hand but he was unable to do so. As soon as he touched the bracelet, the sword appeared in his hand in its full glory. Li Jie understood that the sword has taken the form of the bracelet and didn't try to break it away.
