REBIRTH AND REVENGE

"From now on, you can stay in this room and live the rest of your life here for all I care," were the words that condemned Li Na to a lifetime of isolation and despair at the hands of her own family. Betrayed by her sister, Li Jing, who injected her with a lethal dose of poison, Li Na's world faded into darkness, filled with a deep sense of sadness and betrayal. But fate had a different plan for Li Na. Instead of the expected descent into the afterlife, she found herself transported to a new existence, her younger self staring back at her from the mirror. Overwhelmed by this inexplicable rebirth, tears welled in her eyes as she made a solemn vow to herself: to seek justice and make her family pay for the pain they had inflicted upon her. As Li Na battles with the struggles of her past, a new surprise awaits. … With their faces just an inch apart, he softly asked her, "Do you trust me?" tracing her lips with one finger, lightly.  With a quivering smile, she nodded and whispered, "Yes, I trust you." To her Tang Zheng was the light sent by the heavens to shed her tears away. As Li Na embraces this new chapter of her life, a veil of mystery envelopes her path. The shadows whisper, and destiny's secrets slowly unveil, shaping Li Na's fate in ways she never imagined.

Fulfill that duty till the end

"Soon the nurse walked in to run a check on Li Na," the nurse turned to Tang Zheng and said, "Your girlfriend can be discharged." Li Na, who was seated on the bed, was about to say something, but before she could, Tang Zheng said, "Thank you." The nurse packed up and walked to the door.

Li Na squinted at Tang Zheng suspiciously, wondering what he meant by his comment. Tang Zheng, not wanting to explain himself, simply said, "Get up and go clean yourself up, so we can go."

Tang Zheng's words may have sounded simple, but to Li Na, they felt like a command. Being the stubborn person that she was, she felt a bit annoyed. She wasn't a child, and she could find her way back home. She looked at him and said, "You don't have to worry about me from now on. I thank you for bringing me here and looking after me, but I can go back by myself."

Tang Zheng replied, "My grandmother instructed me to look after you, and I intend to fulfill that duty till the end. Unless you want to witness an old woman being heartbroken." A hidden smile played on his lips as he continued, "Besides, I took the time out of my busy schedule to look after you."

Li Na found herself at a loss for words. Tang Zheng's guilt trip was successfully tugging at her heartstrings. Thinking back to the old lady's expression before she passed out, her heart softened. She cast a quick glance at Tang Zheng before making her way into the bathroom to freshen up. Meanwhile, he watched her retreat with a subtle arch of his lips.

After freshening up, Li Na returned to the room and stood before Tang Zheng. "I'm ready," she announced. He nodded briefly, rising from his seat and leading the way out, with Li Na following closely behind. As they walked, she couldn't help but have a mental battle with herself. "It's just a car ride, and I've been in a car with him before," she reassured herself. "Stop overthinking this," she silently scolded herself.

They made their way to the elevator, with Li Na trailing behind Tang Zheng like a little chick. As the elevator doors opened, they stepped inside and descended to the hospital garage. Exiting the elevator, they walked toward the car parked opposite. Tang Zheng reached the car first, opening the driver's seat door and settling into his seat. The dim light of the garage traced the contours of his sharp features. Li Na stood outside the car, watching him intently. Sensing her gaze, Tang Zheng raised his sharp gaze to meet her eyes.

He raised his eyebrows, a teasing tone in his voice as he asked, "Find anything interesting that you like?" Li Na's cheeks flushed, and she lowered her gaze, choosing not to respond. Tang Zheng looked at her intently for a moment before looking away. She quickly opened the car door and settled into the front passenger seat. The car was filled with his captivating scent as she settled in. Suddenly, he spoke up, "Your seat belt." Li Na, caught off guard, hesitated for a moment before turning. Just as she was about to turn, she felt a presence over her. The scent grew stronger and more pleasant. Tang Zheng leaned in to help her with the seat belt, their faces dangerously close. If he moved even a little, their lips would touch. Their eyes locked, and Li Na could feel her heart pounding in her chest.

Sensing the change in the air, Tang Zheng quickly adjusted himself back into his seat. The Rolls Royce smoothly drove out of the underground garage and onto the bustling main street. Li Na's heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest. She fidgeted with the seat belt, trying to calm her racing heart.

Back in the hospital garage….

Ning An, having just parked the car in the garage, happened to catch a glimpse of Li Na inside the car. As he stepped into the elevator, his mind kept replaying the scene. At first, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. He had noticed a man in the car, and an unsettling feeling crept over him at the thought of Li Na being alone with that man.

Ding! The elevator doors opened, and Ning An gracefully walked through the hallway. His sister, Ning Yu, noticed his absent-minded expression and asked him what was wrong. Flashing a smile, he didn't bother to answer immediately.

"I think I just saw Li Na," he finally said. Ning Yu's voice filled with excitement as she asked, "Where is she?" Ning An replied, "She has already left. Does she have an older brother or cousin?" Ning Yu responded, "From what I know, I highly doubt it."
