Chapter 6: Lotto and stock

A year just went by like that. But there is an important thing I have to do which concerns me more and that is becoming rich.

In my past life, our life was hard. My mom didn't stop working and had to do multiple jobs just to support us. My elder brother even had to be a working student just to support his studies. And as for me, I was able to graduate in college with the help of my mother but the degree I took wasn't the best because it takes a lot of money to study the other courses worth studying for.

And so my participation in competitions helped me start saving money early but that still wasn't enough since prices of goods and other products used in life inflates as the years go by. That is also why I wanted to compete and did exceptionally well that it even reached the national stage, it ensures I win some cash but yet it was far from enough for my plan to comence.

In the year 2007, in my summer break, I asked my mom to allow me to take a vacation in the City C where my eldest sister, Cassandra lives with her family. I wanted to go to her because I know she is the best person to be my accomplice.

At first I enjoyed the first few weeks sightseeing in the city and going to several places of scenic spots. I was also able to get closer to my sister and her family. We spent a lot of our time together and enjoy the vacation before the start of classes on June 4.

It was June 2, my last day in the city. I used this time to ask my sister to let me bet in the lotto."Sister Cassie, I want to bet in the lotto. I want to try, it seems fun."

My sister then asked,"The lotto? Well it seems okay, I'll let you try and experience it then."

So I was given the lotto ticket and selected my chosen combination of six numbers.

Being from the future and knowing the lotto numbers that will come out is relatively easy because I have researched in my past life and somehow, I remembered everything I have read. I was then issued the final ticket that contains all my selected numbers and took care of it carefully because it's a needed for claiming my lotto winnings. I will just have to wait for the draw where the lotto results will be announced.

And as such, I won secretly without being known because my sister did not bother looking at the numbers and just took it as my whim. Also with having a year of grace period when claiming and to be on the safe side, I will wait and claim it when the time allows it or when I see competitions near City C where I can attend as an excuse and to be careful.

I also did not plan to tell my sister immediately but wait when I have to claim because I would need my sister's ID since I am not 18 years old.

A few months after, a competition that is to be held in the city A was about to take place and I chose to be the one to compete. It is also because I wanted to claim the prize money in winning the lotto. I knew I had won because when I was going home, I bought and looked in the newspaper and it was written in the news that someone had won in the lotto.

Since the management of the lotto held strict confidential on the winners so I was safe. And to ensure that me and my family was safer, I had to claim it in a few months. And that is also the time when I had to confess to my sister that I actually won.

After the competitions was done and I won, I asked the teacher in charge of my competition to visit my sister and I called my sister too and she came at our place to get me. She was confused a little bit because she does not know the reason why I visited and it was just a few months ago when I was with them.

So at noon when we were alone at their home, I said" Sister, I have something to tell you?"

My sister then asked,"What is it?"

Then I asked,"Sister, can you accompany me tomorrow?"

She answered,"To where? And why?"

Then I finally said,"I need to go the Lotto Center, sister. I had to claim my winnings and I need you there since I'm not yet eighteen."

My sister then wondered,"Why do you need to go to the Lotto Center to claim your winnings? Lotto winners are the ones who go there.

Then I answered,"It's not my winnings in competitions sister that I am going to get since I have already received it, it's my winnings in the lotto when I had my vacation here on June."

Then she exclaimed,"What?!!!-"

But I interrupted her,"Sister be quiet, we need to keep it a secret. It's more than 120 million."

She was shocked again but she managed to keep her voice down,"120 million?! That's a lot of money, Carmela."

I answered, "That's why I asked you to come sister, I need your help and we need to place the money in the bank."

And so we went to the Lotto Center and we managed to safely get the check, encash it and save it in the bank in my name but my sister was the adult consigner since I was only seven. I put the 120 million in the bank and the excess we took home and gave to my sister.

I also asked my sister to be my custodian in opening a stock account so that I can freely buy stocks of companies I know will do well in the future such as Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and many others. As such, the year 2007 went by just like that.

The year 2008 went by with managing my stocks, buying real estates, and investing. It was an eventful year.

The year 2009 was also an exciting year because it is the year when Bitcoin first came out. In the future, Bitcoins made many people rich and I wanted to be one of them. And so I went home and bought a computer with my money, and set up an account and continuously mined a good amount of bitcoins. Years went by just like that and I am finally in my final year of primary education.
