Apple-1 Blueprint

After the speech was done, Henry convenes all technician including Steve Wozniak to a meeting room. There are 11 technicians from the 23 employees that Jobs recruited, 13 if you counted Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.

Henry held a blueprint in his hand and spread it on the table. All technician quickly surrounded the table as they were curious about what is inside the blueprint. They saw the blueprint is named Apple-1 and it filled with various complex electronic part and it constitutes a circuit board.

Not just that, the design of the computer fully displayed with various part combined. With all of the part combined, it eventually looks like a mini computer. Everyone eyes shine when they saw this blueprint as it was completely possible to design a computer like this.

"What a genius design!!!" A technician commented as he can see this design is indeed marvelous.

Everyone eyes seem fixed on the blueprint, so Henry just let them be. He doesn't let the full design of Apple-1 come out as he can't completely assure their character. Just in case someone has stolen this blueprint, they can't make anything from it as it was just a design, maybe they just got some inspiration from it.

And there is a trap set by Henry so even if they successfully imitated the blueprint and created it, the computer will not work. So he didn't fear to show this blueprint as this is just the part of the complete one.

Everyone keeps looking at the Apple-1 blueprint and keep praise the design. But Steve Wozniak saw there is a critical issue on this blueprint, so he can't help and says, "Boss, how would this computer gonna work? I don't see a processor would fit with our computer as the slot for the processor is just too small!"

Wozniak saw there is a flaw in the design as the processor slot is just too small! There is no processor in the market that can run a normal computer and its size was small. If there is, the computing power would not be enough and eventually, the computer that designed would just a waste.

Henry clapped his hand and patted Steve Wozniak shoulder and say, "As expected of a computer genius, there is indeed a flaw in this design. But this is my business and all of you just need to work according to this blueprint."

Steve Wozniak still confused as this flaw is fatal, but since the boss had said so it's not his business anyway. He just needs to work according to boss instruction.

"Since you can see the flaw in this design, I hereby appointed you to be the Chief Technician of Apple." Henry patted Steve Wozniak shoulder while keeping his smile. He is happy as Steve Wozniak live up to his expectation as the original designer of Apple-1.

Everyone cast an envy eye to Steve Wozniak, but they feel he deserves it as only he can the flaw on this design. Steve Wozniak confused at what just happen, he suddenly became Chief Technician just because of this.

Since this incident, everyone more focused to observe the blueprint as they hope to find a flaw like Steve Wozniak. To their disappointment, the design itself is perfect in their opinion as the only flaw would be the processor.

Seeing everyone done looking at the blueprint, Henry said, "Since everyone has to look what would Apple-1 look, its the time for us to bring it into the reality."

"But I must warn you, if anyone here dares reveal what you look today, I promise you don't like to know the consequence." Henry gave a warning while glancing at them.

Everyone gulped their saliva as they can feel this is not an empty threat. So everyone nodded and guarantee they would leak a little bit about the blueprint.

Henry just gives them a warning just in case someone leaked the design. Even though its nothing much as it not completed, but it can cause an unknown change. But if anyone here dares to do it, Henry promise they would not feel any better about that.

"I will give each of you one copy of the blueprint. All of you must comprehend must start working at least tomorrow and try assembling it. All the part that needed for it will be purchased by Wozniak and Jobs.

Wozniak would be the leader of this project and the rest of you must follow Wozniak command. Jobs would be the one that runs Apple and coordinates everything. For me, I will be the technical advisor if the project encountered a problem that can't be solved by all of you.

I want Apple-1 prototype ready in 2 months at the latest. As for the processor flaw, I will be the one that responsible for it, so all of you just need to build the Apple-1 according to the blueprint.

Everyone can disperse now." Henry gives his command and divides everyone roles. He will not directly participate for assembling the Apple-1 as he wants the team to gain experience from it. He doesn't have time to personally do all of that as he has many things not yet done!

At most he will be the one that pointed the general direction and occasionally intervene. So if he feels he can give this responsibility to someone, he would like to do it as much as possible. Now he already has 3 company under his name, Microsoft, Apple, and Atari.

But he believes it will only increase as time go, and it will only give him more burden. So he must distribute the work early so all of the company would run perfectly even if he is not there.

After everyone receives the blueprint, they dispersed. Only Henry and Steve Jobs remain in the room, Steve Jobs intends to leave as well but he stopped by Henry. Jobs want to say something before he interrupted by Henry.

"Well Jobs, I want something to you in advance. I will leave 1 week later and I might not come to Apple for at least 1 month as I have another important business to do. So I want you directed Apple while I'm not here, you just need to follow the direction I give you." Henry said while he patted Jobs' shoulder.

Steve Jobs expression turns serious and solemnly say, "Don't worry, leave Apple to me. I promise nothing would go wrong when you leave."

Henry satisfied with Jobs answer as he will leave to Nepal 1 week later. The 1-month promise to the Gurkha must be fulfilled.
