Chapter 5 Fake Friendship.

Alexa returned to her Pack feeling disappointed. Upon arriving, she decided to take a walk in the fresh air before school ended. Without realizing it, she found herself at the lake and sat down to contemplate her next plan. Her previous plan to make Ryan her mate and get rid of David had failed, and now she needed to come up with a new strategy.

As she was deep in thought, she heard some familiar sounds that made her frown. She looked around and noticed a small old hut by the lake where the sounds were coming from. Curiosity getting the better of her, she walked around the hut to peek inside. To her shock, she saw her boyfriend and best friend making love to each other. The sight of them moaning and groaning with pleasure, and the sound of their skin slapping against each other, made her feel disgusted.

"Ooh, my sexy kitten, you are so fucking beautiful!" David moaned while thrusting into Lucy, causing her to moan loudly.

Alexa couldn't believe she was witnessing this scene again, but this time she wasn't going to let them get away with it easily. As she stood by the window, something clicked in her mind, and she moved away to listen to their conversation.

“Ahhh… I am coming!” David said.

“Yes… come inside me.” Lucy whispered and David came inside her making her moan out loud.

David laid on the bed beside and covered themselves and cuddled Lucy.

Furious, Alexa clenched her fists and looked down at her feet. But then she glanced at her mobile phone and smirked, unlocking it and slowly peeking inside. With her phone in hand, she began recording the scene of her boyfriend and best friend together.

She cautiously peered inside before she began recording them on her phone.

"Once you become Alpha, do you think we could eliminate Alexa?" Lucy asked, breathless. Alexa's expression turned icy at the suggestion.

"Of course I will. Then you'll be my Luna, mine alone. We'll be the King and Queen of the Blood Moon Pack!" David replied, grinning and kissing her neck.

“How will you do that?” Lucy asked.

"After marrying her and completing the Mating process, I'll be the leader of her pack! Once I'm Alpha, I'll destroy her," David explained.

"What about her father?" Lucy purred like a cat.

"Such a little kitten," Alexa thought.

"He's not fit to be the alpha of our pack. We could lead it much better and elevate our pack to the top of our continent," David said with an evil grin.

"We'll rule the world together," Lucy said, smiling as she kissed him.

"Nobody will ever come between us," David said possessively.

"But I'm just an omega," Lucy said sadly.

"No, you're my future Luna," David replied, gently touching her cheek.

"And I can't stand Alexa. The way she pities me just makes me hate her even more," Lucy sobbed.

"Everyone hates her and everyone loves you, so don't worry about it. Focus on the people who care about you," David said with a sweet smile.

"I love you," Lucy confessed.

"I love you too," David replied, kissing her passionately.

As she closed the recording, a sense of betrayal engulfed her. She walked away slowly, trying not to make any noise as she felt weighed down by the hurt. However, she was satisfied that she had the evidence she needed to prove her point to everyone.

She planned to make multiple copies of the recording and walked back home, climbing to the top floor and settling into her bedroom. Throwing herself onto the bed, she began to plan the perfect moment to unveil the truth to everyone, hoping to expose David's cruelty and dissuade others from supporting him.

She eagerly awaited their reactions and knew that she needed to gather as many witnesses as possible to back her up. However, she realized that this alone wouldn't be enough. Her mate had rejected her, and she was alone in her fight. She needed to plan something else.

Shaking her thoughts away, she got up from the bed and began to prepare for school.

As she applied her eyeliner, she examined herself in the mirror before finishing up and heading to her university. It was her senior year, and she knew Lucy would be waiting to hear the gossip and find out what was going on.

She couldn't afford to raise any suspicions or attract too much attention until she was ready to make her move. So she maintained her usual appearance of bold eyeliner, braids, and dark lipstick, pretending to be the foolish princess of the alpha.

As expected, everyone at school looked at her with disgust, and some even laughed at her. She struggled to control her anger but kept her cool.

Suddenly, she overheard one of the students whispering something, and her ears perked up.

"How far can this girl stoop? Seducing a king?" Her heart froze at the words. "What a terrible person," another whispered. She lowered her head and bit her lip, never expecting to hear such things said about her. As people noticed her, they stopped walking and began murmuring and name-calling.

Only Lucy knew about this, so she must have spread the news. Anger welled up inside her as she thought about her supposed best friend hurting her without her realizing it.

Suddenly, a hand on her shoulder made her flinch. She turned to see Lucy, her so-called best friend, looking worried as she hugged her. Alexa felt disgust in her heart as she hugged Lucy back, her patience wearing thin from Lucy ruining her day.

"I don't know who spread the news," Alexa murmured intentionally, causing Lucy to freeze. Alexa broke the hug and stared at her.

"I don't know who did it, but I think it might be your mate who rejected you, so that no one will come near you," Lucy replied, as if she had already thought about it. She looked genuinely concerned, which tugged at Alexa's heart.

Alexa stared at Lucy, the one who had hurt her, now acting like a savior. She clenched her fists as she saw the evil glint in Lucy's eyes, something she had never noticed before.

Lucy felt a flutter in her heart as she watched Alexa in pain. She felt a strange sense of satisfaction, which she wanted to explore further.

No wonder Lucy always acted like she was the one with a soft side who helped others. She seemed manipulative, and one could only realize it after knowing the truth from the past. Despite being an omega, Lucy gave the impression of Luna and that she was the kindest and gentlest woman. She often did charity work, earning her recognition as the best Luna. However, nobody saw her dark side.

"I'm grateful that you're there for me," Alexa forced the words out, feeling a sour taste in her mouth.

"David and I were really worried about you. We didn't know if you were safe or not. The thought of you being with Ryan, a brutal and unkind man with a thirst for killing, was scary. We were afraid he might end up killing you," Lucy said, placing her hand on Alexa's shoulder.

Alexa sneered in anger, which shocked Lucy.

"If that's what you thought, then why did you let me go to Ryan and seduce him if you knew how dangerous he was? Couldn't David have fought with Ryan on the battlefield and won me over?" Alexa's question sent Lucy's mind racing with wild assumptions, making her eyes widen.

Lucy pondered, ‘Why does Alexa sound so confident and assertive? Especially after the rumors I spread about her seducing Ryan. Could she have somehow discovered my involvement with David?’

Lucy's thoughts continued to race, wondering if perhaps Alexa had witnessed her and David having sex together and discussing the downfall of their family?

However, as she observed Alexa's attire, Lucy concluded, ‘Ah, it seems Alexa hasn't discovered anything about us yet.’ She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Alexa, you know how much I love and care for you, right? I would never propose anything that could jeopardize your safety," Lucy reassured her.

But before Alexa could respond, Lucy quickly changed the subject, saying, "Hey, how about we grab some food and celebrate? I know you never say no to food. Let's go!" She took Alexa by the hand and led her to a nearby restaurant from their school.
