The light of the entrance was all around them. They couldn't make out a shape or the size of the area they were in, just white light. They could not tell the floor from the walls or the ceiling. Black and golden lines appeared around them, passing by at unimaginable speeds as the exit to the void rapidly approached them.
As the exit crossed them, they found themselves in a sunlit canyon, filled with massive vegetation. The leaves of the trees were over two feet in size and the trunks were six to ten feet in diameter. They could see the wide-open sky above them, complete with clouds and birds flying together.
This was not at all what Joshua expected. He just walked deep underground and came out here, some place that looked like it was prehistoric. On a hill on the other side of the canyon they could see another doorway, the entrance to floor two.
"Looks like this is the dungeon." Joshua said.
