"Nah, I like this design more," Xiao Ni said. Her manicured nail knocking one of the papers on the desk. The design interior pulls the paper and gives his insight into the design.

Xiao Ni listens well to the design interior while checking on other designs. The meeting goes until 4 P.M and Xiao Ni just realized she just spends more than 4 hours when Wang Kai arrived home.

"I'm back," He said, independently hang his coat and walk to the living room, where Xiao Ni paper on both of her hands.

"Right of left?" She asked, raising her eyebrow as Wang Kai kissed the top of her hair. She blushed and try to hide it by urging him to choose.

"Oh, How rude," She gave an apologetic smile to the design interior.

"This is Mr.Zhang Wei," she introduces the promising young man.

Zhang Wei has a polite smile as he pulls out his arm for handshakes. "Zhang Wei, I'm an architect and design interior," he said with a business tone.

Wang Kai has observed this man the moment he come back. There is no interest in his eyes for his wife. He was deeply satisfied and received well his handshakes.

"Wang Kai, thank you for helping my wife," he said before looking back at Xiao Ni again. Xiao Ni keeps holding the paper in her left and right hand.

Wang Kai's eyes rest on the paper. After a second of thought, he asks, "Why don't you go with Baroque Revival architecture? I thought you like that the most?"

Xiao Ni gasp. She did not expect him to know that, and more importantly, "You suggest me to build caste style building in the middle of Capital City, by three months?"

Wang Kai shows a cheeky smile as he shrugs his shoulder. "Why not?"

"Because I think we could allocate money for other important things." Xiao Ni said wisely, tempting Wang Kai to ruffled her hair and kiss her plumpy cherry lips.

"Then, go modern. We can save lots of money on furnishing with smart design." Wang Kai suggests and takes modern architecture paper. Xiao Ni glanced at the industrial style on her hand, starts to hesitating.

"You think so...?" She mumbles while looking at a piece of paper in her hand. The design interior knows what Xiao Ni wanted, and Wang Kai chooses the other design that might make his client sad.

Zhang Wei was just about to suggest a mix of them when Wang Kai put down his paper and said, "You like the industrial one, right?"

Xiao Ni looked up to see his tall husband, grinning when their eyes meet.

"Yes. But your idea makes sense." Xiao Ni pouted.

The design interior opens her mouth to chime in, but Wang Kai cut her off once again. "I'm sure we can mix them, can you Mr.Zhang?"

Zhang Wei nodded his head excitedly. Xiao Ni proceeds to continue her meeting with Zhang Wei for another 20 minutes. Wang Kai has gone upstairs to their bedroom while she waited for food served for dinner.

"Aunty Jia, what did you made today?" She sits on the kitchen bar.

"I made Fish soup, Sweet and sour pork, Stir-fried vegetables, and many more," she answers without turning her back. Xiao Ni's mouth is practically drooling when she smells the food.

She just about to steal some sweet and sour pork when her phone rang. Xiao Ni peeked into the caller and puffed her cheek when she read the caller.

Senior Zhang Han.

"Hello? this is Xiao Ni speaking," she said calmly.

"Hello Xiao Ni, this is Zhang Han," He sounds nervous. "Sorry for not answering your text. My phone broke."

Xiao Ni is well familiar with those excuses. Probably Crazy Lili got jealous and deleted her message. Which, by the way, is not a problem if she did not promise Xia Sha a hand.

"Oh, it's okay. I only want to ask if you are interested in Xia Sha's proposal. Because last time we meet, chaos happens." She let out a flat chuckle. Recalling Zhang Han that his girlfriend (or ex) is embarrassing.

"Absolutely. It's working for me. Do you involved in this project too?" He asked excitedly.

"Oh, I think Xia Sha wanted me to be the spokesperson for the product. But that's all. I did not involve in production and everything."

"Oh, that sounds great." He said before the long silence. In the mid of awkwardness, Xiao Ni felt Wang Kai's presence in the dining room. He stares at her with a suspicious look.

She suddenly remembers his speech about the self-control of her jealousy. Should she test him?

"Xiao Ni, I wanted to apologize for the last time," he said from the phone. It brings Xiao Ni to focus back on her phone call. While Wang Kai has mouthing her 'who?' every time their eyes met.

"Oh, it's alright. Disaster always happens at every party. Understandable." She said, portraying herself as the victim who got her ears torn.

"No, it makes me felt awful. What about this, to make it up for you and Wang Kai, why don't you come to our Zhang's family party. My father celebrating her golden anniversary with my mom." He said with a more tensed voice now.

"Well," Xiao Ni paused to look at Wang Kai, which give her a curious face. Xiao Ni slightly tilted her head and smiles. "Sure, just send over the invitation."

"Ah, I think we already gave you the invitation. Must be lost on the way. I'll send you via emails?" He asked. Xiao Ni quite sure Wang Kai probably had Han Li declined every invitation to party after what happened last time.

"What invitation?" His voice rang out almost instantly after she hung up the call. Xiao Ni turns her head to the back, looking at Wang Kai that staring at her back.

"Senior Brother Zhang Han." She replied curtly, a flash of mischievous in her eyes. Wang Kai furrowed his eyebrow, half frowning with branched mind right now.

How should he keep her mind sane with her back teasing him like that? and why the heck she talks with Zhang Han again?

What he supposed to do, smile or frown?

"Hm, you want to attend the golden anniversary party of the Zhang family?" Wang Kai decided to act nonchalant. He lowered his gaze, focusing on his phone, which invisible under the desk.

"Can I?" Xiao Ni jumped out from the stool and sitting opposite of Wang Kai at the big dining table. Wang Kai is busy typing something under the desk but show a smile at her.

"Of course, but Han Li accidentally throw it away. I thought you hate attending those boring parties?" He hides his gritting teeth behind his smile. Secretly glancing at his lit-up phone screen.

Wang Kai: Find the invitation from the Zhang family, then burn it.

Han Li: Which one?

Wang Kai: Everything.

Han Li: Burn...?

Wang Kai: Yes, burn it.

Wang Kai: Don't let anyone find it. Especially Xiao Ni.

Xiao Ni holds her urge to laugh when she sees how poker-faced Wang Kai is right now. She put her elbow on the cold table, clasping her finger together before resting her chin on her intertwined finger. Staring intently at Wang Kai.

"Can you tell Brother Han Li to find the invitation for me, please?" She blinks twice and shows her sweetest eyes smiles.

"Brother again, huh?" Wang Kai has long given up to make Xiao Ni stop calling Han Li brother. But still, he felt irritated every time it come out from her mouth.

Wang Kai's eyes twitched. He secretly glances at his phone screen again.

Han Li: Done

After seeing the photo evidence from Han Li, his heart is calm as the starry night. He put his phone on the table and make the same pose as Xiao Ni.

"Sure," he replied.

Xiao Ni smirked and called out for little S. "Little S, call Han Li for me."

"Calling Han Li, the lousy PA." Little S voice rang out through the whole penthouse. Xiao Ni gasp and shook her head with mouth mildly open.

Wang Kai chuckled and mouth 'it suited him' while little S connected the call to Han Li.

"Hello?" Han Li's voice vibrates in the room.

"Brother Han, it's me!" Xiao Ni speaks.

"Ah! Xiao Ni, what is it?" Han Li sounds cheerful from the other side. Wang Kai ears practically itching when he heard Han Li's excitable voice.

He knew these two mischievous people are ganging up behind him. They just like to defy his words by all means.

"Can you send me the invitation from the Zhang family?" Xiao Ni asked, staring at Wang Kai with a happy face. Wang Kai fakes a smile and returns the same amount of fake excitement.

"Yeah Han Li, please find it as soon as possible." Wang Kai makes his voice audible for Han Li. Giving Han Li a sign (more like a threat) to say the right answer to Xiao Ni.

"Errr... Missus, We have the regulations to sort out and throw the invitation President Wang did not want to attend every Friday. The invitations are likely thrown away right now."

Han Li's tone completely changed from cheerful to serious and professional right now.

"Ah, I forgot about those regulations." Wang Kai acted like a fool. Look at Xiao Ni with apologetic smiles as he lightly said, "I'm sorry."

Xiao Ni averted her gaze to stop herself from laughing. This man, her husband, has taken pettiness to a whole new level. With one sentence, he has made Han Li changed side and help him fooling her.

It was amusing and stressful at the same time. Just how many times she falls into his underhanded tricks.

"To make up for that, how about a short getaway? Do you want to go to Disneyland?" He grins stupidly.

Xiao Ni probably will roll her eyes and snapped at him to stop treating her like a child. She will grit her teeth and call him a liar if she did not have a joker card on her hand right now.

Xiao Ni turns her head back at him, who patiently waiting for her answer. He has halfway finished his working plan for the whole week to make time with Xiao Ni.

Who knows Xiao Ni has thrown him under the bus when she said, "Don't worry, I got the E-Invitation."
