Chapter 14: A Sense of Familiarity
'I know it's the best magic school in the world… BUT WHY AM I INCLUDED??" Aoi exclaimed incredibly loud. "I have a job, you know!"
After hearing that, Ryu, Lilia, and Reika couldn't help but laugh. This annoyed Aoi so much, her face turned red. You could see a glimpse of flames burning in her eyes and her back from anger like in an anime.
"Come on, don't be mad, Aoi-nee, it's a joke, it's a joke!" Ryu tried to defuse Aoi's anger by lightly embracing her since she sat beside him. With a little puff of her nose, she sighed and looked at Ryu.
Lilia stopped laughing and smiled slightly, and said, "Don't worry, Aoi, I'll handle everything about your company. I'm one of the company's co-founders after all, hehe!"
Hearing that, Aoi was dumbfounded. 'I had been talking to the co-founder of ZMPC the entire time!? I know that Ryu said that the person who has been taking care of him would handle her absence, but I thought it was only for a day!'
"What the fuck...." Aoi whispered in a low voice as she threw her head back. She only thought that this woman in front of her had a few connections with the company's personnel. She hasn't even thought about the possibility of the woman in front of her being the fucking co-owner!
"Alright, I'll go with them… It's not like I have a choice since I'm probably already enrolled." Aoi just crossed her arms, and after a second, she began to eat.
After that, they all had a nice breakfast while chatting with each other about a few things. Ryu was just sitting there smiling since he couldn't add to their conversation that much. Then suddenly, with a grin.
"By the way, I'm your professor! Are you guys shocked? Hahaha," Lilia giggled lightly. Ryu, Emma, Anna, and Nala weren't even surprised anymore. Ryu merely smiled as he thought, 'Well, she does have qualifications to become a professor. I wouldn't even be slightly surprised. Her talent is pretty high.'
Aoi and Hina were slightly shocked, but they simply smiled. At least they knew who would be their professor and won't be that nervous, especially because it's one of the best magic academies in the world.
"No reaction at all?!" Lilia exclaimed and laughed after saying that. Finally, after a few minutes, they were finished eating and got ready pretty quickly.
After getting dressed, Lilia led them to the underground parking area, which she was proud of. She was an avid car collector, after all. You probably wouldn't even guess that she was a car collector from her appearance, but apparently, she bought one of the most expensive cars in the world.
"Here, let's ride this car; this would fit all of us." Lilia pointed out a family-sized car that would perfectly fit all eight of them. All of them nodded and entered the vehicle. Ryu entered the front seat as he wanted to learn how to drive a car properly.
Ryu looked over at his mom, who was just behind him, and asked, "Mom, where are you going?"
"Miss Lilia offered me a job led by the Headmistress of the Grandis Magic Academy! I immediately accepted since I don't wanna be a burden and just stay at home all the time." Reika spoke enthusiastically. Hearing that, Ryu couldn't help but smile, 'Well, it would be a nice change of pace for my mom.'
"Alright, let's go!" After a few seconds, Lilia got in the driver's seat and stepped on the gas pedal. She was an incredibly fast driver who liked to show off and look flashy. The underground exit automatically opened after the motion sensors detected the car.
They sped off to the gate, and the guard who was there simply pushed a button inside his small room and opened the gates.

Lilia was driving really fast, and Reika, Aoi, and Hina couldn't help but be scared a bit. As they neared the school grounds, Lilia pointed at the huge dome in the vicinity and said, "That is the Grandis Magic Academy! They made it a lot more protected nowadays. There wasn't a huge dome here five years ago…."
Ryu looked at it, and he felt something familiar about its design. He really couldn't put his finger on it, but it must have a connection to his past life which made Ryu quite cautious.
Then suddenly, Lilia spoke with excitement, "I'll drive a bit faster, hold on!!"
"You serious?" Ryu said with a poker face while looking at Lilia. Lilia didn't even bat an eye as she stepped on the gas pedal even harder, increasing the speed of them going to the academy and increasing their chances of dying from a car crash.

The academy was bustling with people as it was huge. It was probably on a small city scale, and it had everything you may need in it. Be it food, clothing, malls, and all of that stuff, it was in there.
"It all looks high-class. I bet some people would kill to live here," Aoi said while observing the area with awe. It was where almost all of the highest class of people studied magic, after all. If the design wasn't en-grande, those people probably wouldn't like it,
Finally, Lilia was driving a bit slowly as they reached the academy campus' gates. As they approached, the gates opened widely, letting them enter.
Lilia almost didn't know the structure of the place since it was rebuilt so much after five years that she had to ask the guard where the professors' parking spots were.
Lilia parked perfectly, and everyone got out slowly. Although they were pretty far from the students' parking area, they were still noticed by them since all of them had incredible beauty. The students couldn't help but chatter among themselves after seeing the eight of them.
"They all look attractive! Even though I'm a guy, that dude looks fucking hot!"
"Ahh, look, they are goddesses!"
"My eyes don't even deserve to see them!"
"The guy is so cute!"
"*Gulp* Are all of them his girlfriends?!"
Ryu couldn't help but unseal his physical abilities to hear what they said, and he was satisfied. He never had any person compliment him aside from currently eight people now. It made him feel great and confident from hearing compliments even though he knew they were all based on their looks and appearances.
Ryu sealed his physical abilities again as it was a hassle if he didn't. Enhanced hearing, smelling, and all that other shit is annoying if you think about it. Imagine you're chilling, then you suddenly smell someone's shit from a mile away. It's not just irritating; it's infuriating.
"Look at them gawking, hehehe." Nila laughed mischievously while grabbing Ryu's arm.
Lilia just smiled as her face caught a glimpse of Nila and said, "Let's go! You don't have to make the pursuers mad, hahaha."
All of them followed Lilia as they went inside the building. Lilia then pointed at where the six of them should go, and they separated from Lilia and Reika. After that, Lilia smiled at Reika while saying, "Let's go to the headmistress' office; I'm sure she'll be stoked to let you in her project!"
"Yes, I'm excited too!" Reika said as she followed Lilia to the office.

"Wow, it's so big!" Hina was amazed at how big the classroom was. She then turned to look at Ryu and asked, "Nii-chan, won't I get separated from you guys since I'm too young?"
Ryu couldn't answer the question, but Aoi came in to save the day as she answered Hina's question, "Nope, there's only one thing that matters here; your ability to use magic. No one is separated by age. If you came in the same year as us, you'd be in the same class as us if your abilities are the same." Besides, you're seventeen!"
"I see! I wish I'm as good as you guys then." She said with a light smile.
They all walked to a spot where they could sit together, and it was really far from the front. After they sat together, more students came in, and the chatter became louder and louder. Ryu and the other five also chatted a bit about the topic of magic.
Ryu then taught both Aoi and Hina how to control their mana properly and cast chantless spells. Both Aoi and Hina were amazed that you could cast spells without chants that easily. Imaging it was really simple, and they could do it easily. They immediately tried using it with water magic, and they did it!
"Nii-chan! I did it!"
"Yea! Me too! I can't believe it's this easy!"
"Of course, you can do it; both of you are my sisters, after all. And besides, it's a piece of cake for you; you guys' mana pool is huge!" Ryu said as he held onto their hands to sense the amount of mana they had.
"Than–" As Hina was about to say thank you, she was interrupted by a loud bang as everyone went silent in the room. There stood an incredible beauty. Glowing sapphire-colored eyes and frosty snow-colored hair, it was as if she was the spirit of ice.
After a few seconds of silence, the crowd burst into loud cheer as they shouted, "It's the Ice Goddess, Yuki-sama!"
"OH!! YUKI-SAMA!"
"It's Yuki-sama! She's amazing!"
Ryu couldn't help but turn his head to look at the beauty; his eyes suddenly became emotional; as he said, "Yuki-sama, huh… How familiar."
