"The Rebirth of Aeternus."

Under an apple tree with golden apples sat two five-year-old girls. One had heel green hair and green eyes, the other black hair and black eyes. They were laughing and waiting for their friend Aeternus, who would soon appear from a silver portal. The boy had silver hair and one red eye and one silver eye, with the sign of infinity in each of the other colors, as if runes had been burned into his eyes.

Aeternus was happy to see his playmates and ran to talk and play with them. One might think that they were simple children playing in a garden, but it was not so. They were young gods testing their skills and mostly spurring each other on to discover new things. The three friends were inseparable, but as it happens, they grew older, the meetings became less frequent, and their duties and training began. The last time the three saw each other was the day the gods were at war and killed each other for power and greed, or rather, the day only a handful of gods survived after Primus wiped them all out when she found her son dead with his two girlfriends under a tree with golden apples.

The thing about the souls of the gods is not like mortals. Most of them simply dissolve together with their divine power, others immediately enter the cycle of reincarnation, where even Primus can do nothing. Even though he is the god of life and death, reincarnation has its own rules, and so Primus thought that her son was lost forever. Primus destroyed almost all the other gods, and the creator was also about to be erased from the universe.

After millions of years with new gods, a strict hierarchy, and new beings in the universe, Primus did find a familiar connection with an infant who carried two souls. Primus quickly realized that one soul was her son Aeternus, but the other soul was weak and belonged to the black-haired girl. Primus wanted most to snatch her son from his parents, but there was a problem. Even if there was some divinity, it was very small, so he could not enter the realm of the gods. So Primus watched her son and watched over him for a long time. But after a few years she had to watch her son die again, and when she wanted to give him a good afterlife in the realm of the dead, he was gone again before she even came in contact with his death.

Mortis saw the goddess try again and again to catch him, but he could not reach out to her. Each time he saw how he had to experience a new life, only to disappear again before Primus. Sometimes he perceived the soul of the girl connected to him, but usually only just before his death, and again and again he forgot it when he was reborn, like everything else. But when he took over Mortis' body, he remembered his old life and the girl could finally talk to him after so many rebirths. Even though she was perceived as a system, this was the most beautiful experience for her since childhood. Mortis could feel her joy, his mother's joy at finally being a true part of him again. But he could also feel something new: A fire, wild and furious, that just wanted to burn everything and could hardly be kept in check. Mortis was almost driven insane by the flood of feelings and memories that were hammering at him. His dream became more and more confused until suddenly he was sitting in an empty room with a young woman who looked at him crying and smiled, "Welcome back, Aeternus."Mortis woke up in a sweat and called for Fidelia, the system in his head. His right eye suddenly showed the symbol of infinity in brilliant red. His wives looked up in wonder, confused by the sudden occurrence.

But as he held his eye and waves of different energies emanated from it, they did not know what was going on. Suddenly a portal opened and a man with blond hair stepped out. He immediately snapped his fingers, and a barrier was created around everyone, as the energy increased dramatically and was already beginning to destroy more and more. When a certain level was reached, the blond, muscular hand placed on Mortis' forehead and said, "That's enough for now. This is as far as you should go yet, or you won't be able to enjoy this exciting world full of dangers."

Mortis' energy stopped rising further, and he began to calm down as the pain subsided as well. He turned around and said in shock, "Father?!" The blond man smiled meekly, but then he headbutted Mortis and said, slightly annoyed, "How long are you going to worry your mother and me? But at least you seem to be on a good path this time. So keep walking this one, and soon you'll be able to go home." The god turned around, said to the women in the room, "We'll meet again, my daughters," and disappeared from the portal from which he had come.

The women were puzzled. Weren't Mortis' parents supposed to be ordinary mortals? Or did this god seduce the mother?, Marina and Leonie thought to themselves. But Lumina thought of nothing but the sight of a god that she, and even the gods of this world, would be no match for. When Lumina slowly recovered from her shock, she immediately rushed to Mortis. This time, however, she was the last. Marina was the first to be by his side this time, worrying about him, which didn't sit well with the other two, but the quicker one wins. Marina, like the others, was startled when she saw the symbol in Mortis' eyes, but this only made him look more mystical, and all three women found that hot.

The women barely managed to get used to the new sight when there was a knock on the door and the king came in without waiting for an answer, which upset Mortis and the women a bit. But when they saw the king bow and ask to be excused for the security problems, the annoyance quickly disappeared, because when does it happen that a king lowers his head to apologize? Mortis stood up and extended his hand in apology as well, because after all, the attack was directed at him. The king took the hand and wondered about Mortis' right eye, but said nothing but that dinner was ready and everything was already prepared.

The king with some knights accompanied Mortis to the dining room where there was a great feast, but Mortis sat very close to the dukes and the king so that they could talk to him. The king was now very curious who the other enemies were, but Mortis had no idea who this Guillas was and why he wanted the scythe so badly, but one thing is for sure like the amen in the church, that he will not get the scythe and only one will win this fight. This surprised the king a bit, but his next question was immediately why Mortis had brought only three wives, although he had more according to his sources.

Mortis almost spat out the wine because he didn't like where this conversation was going, but Leonie explained to the king that only they were the main wives, the others had taken the place of concubine on their own, and so the place of the fourth wife was still vacant. "I see," said the king with a smile. And before he and the dukes could say anything, Mortis said, "I decline. I have enough wives for now, and if I take another wife, it will only be one I know and have feelings for. Marina I also knew before, and Leonie I have grown fond of, but this arranged marriage is costing me a lot of time, and I first have to get to know my current wives properly and find out what they like and what they don't.The king and dukes nodded and acted understanding, but all three had mischievous smiles on their faces, which sent a shiver down Mortis' spine. He had to admit to himself, however, that he was still played like a fiddle when it came to Poleti. But he quickly shook off the thought and turned his attention to Leonie, because after all, it wasn't long until their wedding. After dinner, everyone went to their rooms. Although Mortis' wives would have liked to sleep next to him, it didn't behoove an unmarried couple to sleep together in the same room.

The next morning, everyone left again, especially Mortis with his wives. Leonie could hardly get home fast enough. Although she had planned everything, the whole castle had to be prepared for her dream wedding. She would even fight demons to make her dream come true. The other women noticed that Leonie was getting more nervous by the day. Mortis noticed it too and was pleased that Leonie was so passionate about what she was doing.

In Bamberg, Merlin's parents arrived today and moved into a small house close to the magic tower that was being built. Jasmine and her parents moved in next door, since the large tailor shop was almost finished and Jasmine could make her work here.

Meanwhile, Guillas was raging with anger, wondering how it was that he could not revive his servants just because they died against this human Reaper. He tried to calm himself down, but it didn't really work. Some things got broken and the servants near him were lucky that he didn't go for them, as already the second attempt failed to snatch the scythe. But he didn't give up and if he had to wait until he could face the fake Reaper himself.
