Venturing forth
Reiner could feel the stare of the beast, the atmosphere was tense, he could hear himself gulping but still remained calm and steady. He looked at the status of the beast -

The beast began to descend slowly from the dome of the citadel, its sharp claws grasped the columns whilst tearing through them, then it flew towards him with a loud screech, Reiner rolled swiftly to the side and made a quick slash through the wings, the beast gave out a cry of anger and pain, then charged again wildly. The beast thrust's its claws and started gnashing everything in its path. Incessant with its attack, Reiner could hardly take a breathe, he could feel his shoulder lacerated by the sharp claws and a sharp pain ran through his body. He knew he could use the skill [shadow step] one more time and it will decide his fate. "Its now or never - activate [shadow step]", Reiner masked away hiding his presence. Reiner looked for an opening whilst the beast frantically searched for him through the hallway, he leaped upon the beast and pierced it through the heart with his dagger. ~~ [passive activated] [Heartstopper (E)] Critical hit~~
The beast fell to the ground, blood all around, but it wasn't done yet. Reiner hastily moved away from beast as he could sense something wrong with it. The beast let out a sonic cry and the body started regenerating itself. Reiner couldn't believe what he saw, he was in despair, all his mana used and there was nothing that could be done. " How am I supposed to kill it if it keeps on regenerating itself?" Just then he remembered that he saw the status of the beast as an [Undead] monster type. "Maybe [undead] monsters doesn't need a functional heart, if that's the case then I do have a chance, lets see if its worth trying all over again". The beast flew at him, Reiner took a swift step dodged the claws and plunged at the beast , with his hands firmly holding the dagger aiming at the head.

Finally the beast was dead and Reiner could breathe a sigh of relief. "Now lets check the quest status"

"This is such an amazing ability, it can be used offensively without any fear of counter attack since it will immobilize the target", Reiner smiled blissfully. He decided to leave the rune for now as he was injured and moreover the monsters ahead would be much stronger, not forgetting the Vortex, keeper of the rune.
