The Snake hissed and lunged at Xuan Yuan, who dodged to the side and followed up with slash with the common sword.

Xuan Yuan was tongue tied and nearly got himself bitten by the Snake.
Previously he was able to deal at least -100 damage with the common rank sword but now he barely dealt -10 damage. That's level suppression. The Snake is now level 15, doubling that of Xuan Yuan's, it was understandable as to why the damage he dealt decreased so much.
'How am I to deal with this despicable Snake now?'
He quickly used Wind blade to widen the distance between them.
Generally, everyone both Monsters and Players possess a battle recovery. One is able to recover HP in battle either by drinking potions or relying on the 2% battle recovery every 5 second.
Red Lava here, possess a maximum HP of 2000. It is able to recover 40 HP every 5 sec. If he's only able to deal -10 damage every 3 sec, he won't be able to out damage his battle recovery. Then he won't be able to kill it.
He went into deep thought. How can the weak overcome the strong!
Assassins lacks explosive strength of Guardians and Berserker, but they are able to severely damage them despite their top notch defense. Coupled with their overpowered Stealth skill, they were currently considered the best class in game.
Xuan Yuan suddenly had a flash of realization. Most Assassin skills are meant to be executed on vital parts like the neck, head, heart etc. Realm of spirituality was a game that incorporated some effects of real life. A fast way to kill people in real life was to strike their vital parts. If someone was able to strike a vital blood vessel, the victim could simply bleed to death. Someone who was beheaded will be unable to retaliate no matter how skilled he is.
Xuan Yuan smiled coldly. 'You're dead meat now, I'll torture you to death!'
The Snake gathered his strength and lunged at Xuan Yuan with its sharp fangs.
Xuan Yuan rolled under it and stood up behind it stabbing at its neck with the Trash Sword.

Xuan Yuan sighed in relief. He'd have been defeated if he still couldn't deal enough damage.
Xuan Yuan maximized the use of the Snake's stunned state and shifted to the side maneuvering the common sword in his grasp and ruthlessly stabbed its left eye.

The Snake shrieked in pain!! These lowly Human dared to stab its eye? He'll pay!!
It swiped its tail suddenly at Xuan Yuan who calmly sidestepped and executed fatal strike at its tail.

Xuan Yuan didn't stop, he took advantage of the Snake's raised head to stab its right eye dealing -150 damage!
The Snake roared in frustration. It had always been the one blinding others but this lowly Human dared to blind him.
Xuan Yuan watched the Snake struggle in astonishment with a blinded, injured and stunned status hanging on its head. He almost couldn't believe he turned the Snake into a harmless figure singlehandedly. He felt tears fill his eye. Since young he'd always been bullied with no hope of breaking free. He even learned martial arts in school diligently in hope of beating his mates who bullied him, but he always failed nonetheless.
But here, he killed a Snake who was multiple folds more dangerous than your average Snake.
The Snake eventually fell to the constant HP loss due to its injured state dropping about 2 silver coin and a Skill book. At the same time he leveled up to level 8 due to killing a monster 8 levels above him.
Serpent's Fury (Berserk skill) (Tier 0, Level 15)
Doubles the attributes of user for 30 seconds
Cooldown: 10 mins.
Xuan Yuan was in Heaven as he learned the Skill book. Skill books are abnormally rare in the game and even after slaughtering rabbit nonstop, no skill book dropped, not even after he killed the Rabbit King.
Berserk skills were even rarer. Currently no one can claim to have one. These Berserk skills are able to increase attributes for fixed durations and possess long cooldowns compared to skills of the same level. Monsters particularly Bosses also possess such skills and would be activated when their HP reaches 30%. It's obvious Xuan Yuan got the Berserk skill Red lava used.
Currently, with the Berserk skill, Xuan Yuan was confident he could kill Red lava in less than 20 seconds...
He took the Snake's corpse and went out. He needed the corpse to prove that he'd killed the Snake.

Xuan Yuan left the NPC, Summa and went to a quite place. He brought out the chest in his inventory and opened it. A red glow emanated from the chest as it opened revealing a Book carefully placed inside it.
'Book of Forgery' was written on its front page...
