Saints astonished

Killing a Noble in his home city was a big crime. Killing a Count was even more so. Acquiring such a status meant his safety in the city was guaranteed against players and NPCs unless the attacker is of a similar or higher status. But then, there were not many players with the Count status in the city. Even among NPCs, there were not many, and if not because of luck shining on him, he wouldn't have achieved it also.

"If there's a situation you can't handle, you can find me here," the Official said and turned to Xuanyuan.

"When do you plan to leave Purple leaves city?" the Official asked.

"I'll leave when I'm done here" Xuanyuan replied.

"So soon?"

"Yes. I have a lot on my plate so I won't be able to stay for long" Xuanyuan replied. "If I visit this city again, I'll find you" He added.

"Okay" The Official said...

"Where are you going to now?" Grim reaper said once they exited the mansion of the Imperial official.

"I'm not sure. Perhaps I should just visit another city before returning to Jade spear Holy city" Xuanyuan replied.

"Can I follow you?" Grim reaper asked. "I want to adventure with you" He continued. He knew following Xuanyuan meant acquiring other benefits.

Xuanyuan understood his intentions but didn't mind, after all, everyone was always looking out to acquire good things for himself.

"You can't. It's a personal quest" Xuanyuan replied. "But don't worry I'll summon you when I'm done with my quests." He added.

"Okay. I'll wait for your message then" Grim reaper said and bid Xuanyuan farewell before heading in a random direction.

Once Grim reaper was out of sight, Xuanyuan activated the <Spatial shift> skill of his Saint robes and instantly teleported out of sight. Players around saw this but teleporting was common in the Realm of spirituality so they didn't take it seriously. But if only they knew Xuanyuan was going to cover miles this time...

Xuanyuan opened his eyes and found himself in front of a purplish Temple exuding an ancient aura. Of course, that was the Holy temple of Humanity in Purple leaves city.

As the city was inhabited by humans, it had a Holy Temple of humanity located around the Northeastern part of the city. The Temple wasn't as grand as the one in Jade spear Holy city because Purple leaves was not a Holy city.

Xuanyuan entered the Temple and quickly made his way into the core room where the Saints reside.

One of the strange phenomena about the Holy temples of humanity is that you could enter the core room of the Saints from the Holy temple of any city. It was as if the core room was a dimension on its own and one could enter this dimension through any Holy temple belonging to the Human race.

"We meet again, Ninth Saint" The Saints said once they saw Xuanyuan entering the core room.

"It's only been two weeks. I wasn't expecting you to return so soon" the seventh Saint said.

"I was only hoping to learn a few things about Tier 3 while I'm here" Xuanyuan replied. "Because I'll be soon breakthrough" He added.

"Not a problem" the seventh Saint said.

"I forgot to tell you previously that the Mansion of the Ninth Saint has been completed" the third Saint said. "You can now train in the Mansion while you're here" he added and threw a jade tablet to Xuanyuan.

<Jade key: Unique item>

Grants user access to the Ninth Saint Mansion.

Owner: Ninth Saint, Sage Yuan...

"I will lead you" the eighth Saint volunteered.

"I'll trouble you then, eighth sister" Xuanyuan thanked.

"Not a problem," she said.

"By the way, Ninth brother. I was going to ask you something, may I?" the fourth Saint asked.

"Yes, fourth brother" Xuanyuan replied.

"I recall you got an Epic race token when you were climbing the Evaluation tower. I believe you've used it didn't you?" he asked and the other Saints listened earnestly as they have all been wondering about the outcome of activating the token.

"I did" Xuanyuan simply replied.

"Was your race changed?"

"No"

"You're still a human?" they exclaimed. After all, they knew Xuanyuan would have no problem acquiring the bloodline of Divine races with his talents. They were astounded as Xuanyuan remained human after activating the token. But a part of them was relieved was they heard Xuanyuan was still part of them as none of the other races would stay calm if they learned that a genius of Xuanyuan's caliber had their bloodline. Then they'd have one more Apex combatant to deal with in the future.

"My human bloodline evolved instead," Xuanyuan said.

"That's very good" the third Saint commented. "But I'm pretty sure you acquired a Noble bloodline of the human race" he continued.

"It's the True human bloodline!" Xuanyuan dropped the bombshell suddenly.

SILENCE! The Saints were dumbfounded once they heard what Xuanyuan said. They even thought they'd heard wrongly but they were Tier 5 Saints whose hearing is the best in the Realm, it was not feasible that they misheard at such a close distance.

"What?! You're a true human?" asked the fourth Saint.

Xuanyuan didn't reply directly but instead, activated the <True aura>. A light golden Halo exuding an ancient aura immediately erupted covering his body in Divine brilliance. This was no doubt the innate ability of an Apex bloodline.

"<True aura> He's a true human!" the fourth Saint exclaimed.

"I never thought I'd ever get to meet someone with the legendary bloodline in my lifetime," the second Saint said emotionally while the other Saints nodded in agreement. Even the aloof first Saint had a solemn but delighted on his face.

"Now, I believe we made the right choice by naming you the Ninth Saint back then" the third Saint added.
