Mizar sword King
Only players that plan to resell it are bidding for the item but it was obvious they'd easily give up once the price is above their budgets.
"150000 Magic crystals!" Xuanyuan suddenly shouted warning a bunch of surprised looks from the other VIPs. They wondered why Xuanyuan wanted the item.
'Perhaps he wants to resell it' They concluded and watched on. With no one raising a hand to bid. That made things quite easy for Xuanyuan.
"160000 Magic crystals" A NPC shouted.
"200000 Magic crystals!" Xuanyuan shouted back.
The NPC sensed that Xuanyuan is quite desperate for the Magic design so he gave up bidding. He didn't even need it anyway. It's better to save money for better items he needed.
Xuanyuan wasn't planning to get the item either but after considering the fact that Jade spear Holy city would soon face attacks from other cities, improving the City's defense was a must even though it's defense as a Holy city was already top notch, it was not bad to improve it further.
"200000 Magic crystals, going once! twice! Sold!" The Auctioneer announced.
"Congratulations to number 22 for winning the Magic design!"
"The next item up for sale is a Silver ranked, sword type Combat technique <Seven profound swords>" The Auctioneer said and a table holding a Silver tablet was wheeled onto the stage.
Xuanyuan narrowed his eyes when he saw the tablet. That was exactly what he came for. He sat up straight and silently waited for the auction to begin...
"For the combat tablet for the <Seven profound swords> starting price is 500000 Magic crystals! Minimum increment is 50000!"
"550000 Magic crystals!" A NPC in the VIP room shouted almost immediately.
"600000 Magic crystals!" Another NPC in the VIP room shouted after.
The competition for <Seven profound Swords> was mainly between the VIPs. After all, anyone that managed to acquire the VIP ticket was either extremely wealthy or from a powerful Guild. For the non VIPs, most of which were either Rogue adventurers or from small Guilds, the starting price is enough to exclude them out of the struggle for the Combat technique.
The bid for the Combat technique rose drastically and before five minutes passed, the bid was already nearing 1 million Magic crystals.
"900000 Magic crystals!" A NPC sitting at the fore front of the VIP room shouted. Sitting around the NPC was an entourage composed of right other NPCs. The weakest among these NPCs was a level 100 Tier 2 Master and their leader was a Level 110 Tier 3 King. It was obvious they came from a powerful NPC Guild.
"Even the Mizar Sword King is bidding. Things are going to get interesting!" The other NPCs and players in the non VIP stands said...
The NPCs and players competing for <Seven profound swords> went pale when the saw this. After all, they were well aware of the status of the Mizar Sword King in Purple leaves city and the power backing him.
"950000 Magic crystals!" A player shouted not wanting to give up so easily.
"1 million Magic crystals! Are you still going to compete with the Jade sword Academy?" Mizar Sword King threatened.
Once he said so, no one dared to as much as speak. The auction arena immediately went silent which made the Auctioneer quite exasperated after all, the higher he sold the Combat technique for, the higher his own pay would be.
Just when he thought there's no one who would dare to go against the Mizar sword King, a crisp feminine rang out from the VIP stands.
"I bid 1.1 million Magic crystals!" said the feminine voice.
The Mizar sword King swept his gaze at a lady who appeared to be in her early twenties. But surprisingly, the lady also radiated the aura of a Tier 3 King.
"Aurora Mage Queen!" The spectators were dumbfounded this time. This was because the newcomer was not inferior to the Mizar sword King in any way. They could be said to be the peak figures of their generation and as rivals they had clashed many times but their fights always ended up in a tie. It was not surprising seeing how the Mage Queen was deliberately provoking the Mizar Sword King.
"Aurora Mage Queen, you do not the combat technique, why are you deliberately trying to provoke me?" Mizar sword King sounded desperate this time.
"If she doesn't need it, then I do" Another voice sounded behind him. It belonged to another peak figure of the generation, the Abyss Death King. "I bid 1.2 Million Magic crystals!"
"1.3 million Magic crystals!" Mizar sword King shouted. "You guys really do not need this" Mizar sword King said. " Why not just let me have it considering our bonds?" He pleaded. He knew he couldn't afford to anger the duo now. After all, each of them was as strong as he is. If a fight broke out now, there was no doubt, he'd lose. He could only try to reason with them now.
"I might not need it but we also train Swordmen in the Crimson sky Palace. I'm sure they'll make best use of it" Abyss Death King said.
"Same for the Cyan ocean palace" Aurora Mage Queen added. "Why should I let you have it? Isn't that the same as planting the seeds for future troubles" She continued
"I'm pretty sure you guys have also found new techniques. If I also learn this, we can see who's stronger then" Mizar sword King said.
"I stand on my word" Abyss Death King said firmly. "I'm bidding for this technique"
"Same here" Aurora Mage Queen added.
"Shouldn't you guys be saving your money on items that will be auctioned later. It won't be funny if I also hinder your way to winning the next items you need!" Mizar sword King said cunningly. He knew well that those two won't waste their time in an Auction arena without having any ulterior motive. They'd be busy trying to raise their levels so they can breakthrough to Tier 4 soon...
