Celestial overlords

"What only us?" Dark angel shouted in surprise.

"How are we supposed to deal with minor things? Don't tell me we'll farm for coins and resources ourselves!" Yueying added.

"We'll find them ourselves" Xuanyuan replied.

"Damn it! I want to leave the Guild!" Dark angel complained. "How can I develop while having to worry about grinding for Magic crystals!" he said.

"You are welcomed to leave" Xuanyuan gestured to the door. But Dark angel stayed put. What a joke! How could he leave when he knew how terrifying the others would be in his absence. He wouldn't leave even if he's threatened at gunpoint

Xuanyuan silently glanced at them waiting for anyone who has complaints to voice out but they all kept mum quietly waiting for Xuanyuan to continue.

"Since there are no complaints, you guys are now the members of the Celestial pavilion" Xuanyuan declared. "You guys are now the Celestial overlords!" Xuanyuan added and a Guild badge manifested on their chests.

"Wow! so cool!" Yueying exclaimed as she examined the cool looking Guild symbol on her chest.

"Did you draw this?" Xingyao asked and Xuanyuan nodded in reply.

"Wow! It look so realistic. I love it" Xingyao said fondling it as if she couldn't wait to see the shocked and envious faces of members of other Guilds...

"Now, the first thing you guys must do now is to complete your promotion quests" Xuanyuan began. "But before that, I have something for you guys" He said as he directed Golden tablets to each of them.

"A Golden race change token?" They exclaimed!

"That's right" Xuanyuan replied. "Now each of you must change or evolve his bloodline as he completes his promotion quest" He declared.

"Your mission is to travel separately and make improvements to your bloodline, complete your promotion quests and gather at these place within seven days" Xuanyuan ordered. "Remember, you travel separately" He added.

"Yes master" The Celestial overlords chorused.

"When do we leave?" Dark angel asked.

"You can leave anytime. Just return with your mission completed within seven days" He ordered.

Without further ado, Snow titan picked up her sword and made for the door.

"Where are you going?" Shadow empress asked.

"I only have seven days. I must hurry" she replied and left the office.

The others quickly bid Xuanyuan farewell before leaving the office and heading for different directions. Now only Xuanyuan and Qingyuan were left in the room.

"Let's take a walk" Xuanyuan said as he left the office too.

Five minutes later, Xuanyuan was walking on the street with Qingyuan who silently followed beside him without taking the initiative to strike up a conversation.

"Are you angry with me?" Xuanyuan asked softly.

"I'm not" Qingyuan replied simply.

"I had many things to deal with all this while and I only managed to spare some time to attend to you guys before I got busy again" Xuanyuan explained patiently. It was difficult that Xuanyuan who remained calm even while in front of tier 5 Saints was now flustered before a tier 1 player.

"I didn't ask any question" Qingyuan replied smiling. "Why are you trying to explain? Have you done something bad?" she asked.

"No! I dare not!" Xuanyuan replied with hands raised as if trying to prove his innocence in court.

"Then you don't have to worry. I'm doing fine with the Celestial overlords" she smiled.

"I have to go now. I don't have time to waste" She said and turned to leave.

"You don't need to worry. The law doesn't apply to you" Xuanyuan said.

"I still have to go" I can't allow those brats to surpass me or my authority as the lady boss will be threatened" She smiled.

"Alright" Xuanyuan said. "Be careful" Xuanyuan said as he slipped a Epic ranked Mage robes into her hand.

"Isn't this considered biased?" Qingyuan complained as she examined the item in her hands. None of the Celestial overlords had Epic items equipped except Snow titan's Greatsword. But now she had an Epic item.

"So who dares to complain if I spoil my woman" Xuanyuan said arrogantly.

"Who says I'm your woman?" Qingyuan said with reddened cheeks which rendered Xuanyuan captivated. He didn't realize Qingyuan was so beautiful. No wonder Devil king tried to court her back then. And he had leveled their Guild headquarters out of fury.

"I have to go now. See you in seven days!" Qingyuan waved and disappeared in a flash. Having mastered a bunch of Magic arrays, flashing away was not a problem and within seconds, she left Xuanyuan's range of passive awareness.

Xuanyuan sighed before walking to a safe spot and logging out of the game too...

Meanwhile, in a small apartment in city L in the real world, Xuanyuan's mother, Xueyao was busy making dishes when she suddenly heard a creak at the door of the kitchen only to find Xuanyuan dragging his exhausted body to get himself a cup of water.

He'd been playing continuously for more than seven days only stopping a bit to grab some dishes before returning again and for the past few days, his battle had been on a high level scale especially the mental pains he'd sustained from the Soul warriors. Though he'd benefited tremendously from the encounter, he still felt fatigued from sustaining such painful damages to his soul. After that, he had to exert a significant portion of his concentration to defeat the tier 4 Valkyrie and even had to withstand the horrifying mental pressure of tier 6 Divine might which left him deprived of mental energy. Although he appeared fine to the Celestial overlords, he was so tired that the system actively sound him warnings to log out. If he'd gotten involved in a battle afterwards, he'd have been paralyzed or even forcefully logged out unable to log in for days. Even now, he had to rest for at least 10 hours to recover to his peak state and that's even with the aid of nutrient fluids...
