When luck tends to be on your side - literati

The day to day activities of Seulgi high school met a drastic change due to the upcoming test.

In class everyone seated properly and no one could be found walking about in class except the 'above the laws' like Chin-Hae and Seung-Heon who cared less about exams.

The rate at which people pay attention in class was high because a lot were expecting hints about possible questions that may come out.

This period was when people visited Na-Gil's hideout the most, not because they wanted to greet him or familiarize themselves with him, but because of exam questions. It was a shocking news to everyone that Na-Gil had finally dropped out and was no longer staying at the school.

No one knew his nor any of his minions whereabouts except for Yo-han who sent him to handle the company in his absence.

With this sudden absence of Na-Gil, all those who relied on him only had one hope which is for a miracle to happen and all the knowledge they need should automatically stick to their brains, because no one can get the exams questions aside Na-Gil, not even Chin-Hae, and cheating was not an option because once caught, expulsion is the punishment, nothing more or less.

Thus, the library became stuffed day by day while the cafeteria and other extracurricular places became very crowded in an ironical way.

Almost every one had forgotten about the Power Quill writing competition, and just at the time appointed for the declaration of the result was now, on the main school notice board was the information posted.

A lot of the students rushed to check the newly updated information, while some expected it to be information about timetable update, a majority expected it to be postponement of the test. But luck disappointed them. The information was about Power Quill and not the test.

They were all awestruck when they saw the result that declare that the winner was a Seulgi high school student. They all had their hopes high, wishing it was them, but the result of reading the next paragraph of the article "Where there is a will there is a way, my will is 'I want to build an empire'." broke their hearts since it wasn't their essay.

The question that everyone wanted to ask is "Who wrote this, who ever wrote this should show himself or herself."... Even Ms Rachel Jin the English language teacher had the same question lingering in her mind since Power Quill for reasons knowm to them alone, they did not release information about the writer, they only sent out the winning essay and second place essay along with announcement of the completion of the competition she didn't bother herself much about the writer, sooner or later you will show yourself.

She was very overjoyed with the news that her student had won the award. Even though the second place did not come from Seulgi high school, just first place is enough, infact no one cares about second place. This achievement made her boast about among the other students.

A lot of people guessed and made a list of Writing Gurus everyone of this so called writing Gurus denied ownership of the essay. Only Dan-bi had a correct guess of who it could be, since in a few of their conversations, he was always like, ' I am a king without a kingdom, and an emperor without an empire..." Definitely it must be him who wrote that essay. This thought made her heart draw closer to this so called winner, the more she thought about him, the more she liked him.

The next day at an organised assembly, the principal welcomed people from Power Quill to handle the little award ceremony. It was so surprising when the President of Power Quill announced, " The winner of this year's Power Quill High School Writer is Seulgi high school's literati, ' I want to build an empires' writer, Mr Park Yo-Han, please come forward."

The moment his name was mentioned all eyes fixed on him and without caring about the stares directed at him because he had gotten used to it, he walked elegantly to the podium to receive the 'golden Quill in a golden ink bottle ' shaped award.

On seeing Yo-Han's confident demeanor, the President was really satisfied with the judging teams decision. He felt that this young man really deserved it. He presented the award to Yo-han and there was a series of photoshoots after with the school's and Power Quill officials.

Of everyone present, only Seung-Heon was bothered with this essay, he did some connecting the dots mentally and he resolved to finding out more and doing a comprehensive research, probably he could find something to use against Yo-han this time.

Even Yo-han had a bad premonition and he knew it had to do with either Chin-Hae or Seung-Heon but he wasn't sure of who it is. 'Whoever it is will never succeed, luck is always on my side ' he said to himself.

Every other person had no care in the world except passing their test.

Yo-han, Dan-Bi and No-Eul were seated in their regular booth at the usual coffee shop munching snacks and revising at the same time. No-Eul the third wheel followed along since she had no more serious reading to do, she is loaded and fully prepared, she is only waiting to discharge. But to help herself more she decided to do some revising and since she was in the same class as Yo-han, it would be easier to revise with him. She would also have the time to hangout with her best friend.

"Yo-han, the president called you a literati, are you interested in literature too?" Dan-bi asked to ease the somewhat awkward moment. Only Yo-han and No-Eul had been conversing since, revising and pointing out several problems and providing solutions, they had completely forgotten about her.

" Huh, Yes, I have interest in every form of art but I just can't do it all." He replied and continued his revision.

"So you are a jack of all trades and master of all, heh?" No-Eul asked.

"Yes he is, but not with literature, he most have his own weaknesses too, he was only truthful to himself while writing, and that's what earned him the award. I am quite sure of that" Dan-bi replied without even giving him a chance to speak.

"How do you know that, does he look like he has any weakness to you?" No-Eul replied her insensitive friend immediately.

Dan-Bi also did not wait before speaking "I know my Master Han more than anyone, You can't understand now, only when you find that person you like, will you understand." She spat out without a care, seems like she found nothing wrong with her speech because her expression remains unchanged.

That moment a waiter just handed a coffee to Yo-Han and he was sipping it, but he choke on it the moment he heard her words.
