Chapter 32: Walking in a forest

The tracking continues.

Soon, Soro group arrived at a deeper part of the forest. Around him, all he can see are big and tall trees everywhere. Then a human summons call for his attention. Soro turns to ask him what is going on.

"My lord, there is an ambush ahead of us." After telling Soro about the situation that they are about to face, he pointed at the top of a few trees. Soro activates [Hunter's eye] to look where his summon pointed.

Then he starts to notice a few cats hiding on top of those trees. The cats are looking at them like hunters looking at their prey.

From the look in those eyes, Soro can guess what is going to happen once his group got in range of those cats. So he decided to make the first move.

He starts to summon flying ants and monkeys. Once done, he attaches his ants to the monkeys and cats. Then he orders them to go to attack those cats.

Soro doesn't need to wait for too long. Soon some big cats are falling off from the trees. Without any further instructions, his summons already knows what to do. Many wolves start to charge ahead to find their victims. After the wolf got close, they start to open their jaw and bite onto the neck of the big cat.

Seeing the scene in front of him, he let out a snicker and then smile.

"It doesn't matter how good you are, if you underestimated my low-level summon, you will pay a big price. Daring to kill my monkeys and cats? Then be ready to get your eyeball bitten by ants."

Soon, a new skill pops up in his skill menu.

[Tier1 Assassin Cat summoning.]

Without wasting any time, he starts summoning his big cat. And then he let them go to join the hunt as well. Once his cat joined the fight, the enemy starts to go down even faster. Because Soro equipped his tier1 cats with [Fury swipe] skill.

Not long later, the wild cats start to turn into blurry shadows and then escape. His summon can't chase those cats anymore so they just return to him. Counting his gain, he sees that he now has 7 tier1 cats. So he decided to stop chasing them. Any more will just be a waste of time.

So Soro gathers up his summon and then moves out.

After 2 hours of exploring, Soro is now taking a break. During the exploration, he encountered some new animals that he doesn't have yet. So he let his summon kill all of them. Now he has some snakes, birds, and a tiger.

The tiger is cool and everything. But when it comes to real hunting, it still lacks behind his tier1 animal. Maybe later he will find a tier1 tiger. Then the might of the tiger can be shine among his summon. For now, let it be his cool-looking bodyguard.

And for the birds, he let them scout out the area. His hope in finding a dungeon is relying completely on it.

Talking about the scouting birds, he sees them flying back to him. After they landed on a summon nearby, he transfers its memories to a human summon next to it. Soro doesn't want to have many useless memories in his head. He will just put all of them in his summon and led them translate the memories to him.

After listening to the report, Soro got excited. His birds just found 2 dungeons and many beast lairs. So he hurries up to finish his food so that he can get back to continue his hunt.
