Chapter 1

I was walking home from my work at the cafe when I suddenly felt pain in my chest and started having trouble breathing...then everything went dark.

I woke up in a bed and saw the white ceiling and my surroundings, which seems to be the hospital.

Shortly after gaining consciousness, a doctor came in.

"You are awake, excellent.", he said.

"I am dave. Mr. john you were found unconscious on the footpath and transported here." he continued.

"What happened doctor dave?" I asked

"I am sorry to say but you have cancer. I have already contacted your parents who are on their way."

No.....No....No..... This can't be happening to me...

I already tuned out out the rest of his words...

I am just 22...This can't be happening...I am still a virgin damnit.

In my despair, I failed to notice my parent's arrival. I noticed them when my mother's cries reached my ears.

I wanted to say so many things to them, but couldn't form any words.

I was feeling many things that I couldn't convey to them.

As they say, with time you get used to things, I gradually accepted that I will die soon.

In 6 months I became so weak that I couldn't even move in my bed.

During the time I was given, I spent most of it with my mom and dad as well as reading light novels, watching movies, and my personal favorite reading fan-fics.

Reading those books filled me with the hope that maybe I will be going to a better place or given wishes for my next life.

My only regret is that I was not able to make my parents proud.

Soon, my death day arrived, I had a feeling that it was my last day due to extra heavy weakness and drowsiness.

My parents were crying heavily near my bed.

"Don't cry, mom and dad. I love you and I want to see you smile rather than cry."

"We love you too dear.....(sob)....(sob)", mom said.

"I am sorry that I couldn't make you guys proud." I continued.

"You are our pride son....remember that.", dad said forcefully.

My vision was turning dark...

soon...all there was only the dark.

I gained my consciousness, which was a surprise.

Everything was still dark but somehow I could think again, which got me excited as I remembered the books I read.

As time passed I realized that no one was coming and that was who knows how long ago....I am starting to feel afraid of the dark, afraid that I will spend eternity like this.

As I was lost in my thoughts I suddenly heard...DING!
