In a wide, light-colored room with little to no decoration other than a large brown mattress that was spread out on the floor. It was made from animal skin and fur as it was thick and fluffy, something that was extremely comfortable to lay on.

And it was indeed correct, a tall, wide, and beefy man with beastlike features on his body such as his furred body, his round, and moveable ears, and most conspicuously, the big and sharp carnivorous teeth in his mouth that were shown when he yawned widely.

But it wasn't the big and beastly man that really attracted one's attention in the room, it was the massive and menacing bear that stretched more than four meters and almost reached five meters, twice the length of a polar bear.

It had thick brown fur with some red streaks in between the body. Its front paws were extremely thick and muscular as the muscle protrusions were visible despite the thick fur.

Both of its yellow eyes were mostly closed as the beast laid comfortably on his belly on top of the mattress, spreading apart its limbs with no care in the world while its saliva trickled out of his slightly open mouth.

The beast-like brown-haired man laid down on top of the bear, making it his pillow as he let out a big yawn. It seemed that he was really sleepy as he shortly closed his eyelids and let his head fall back on the thick and fluffy stomach of the bear.

However, before he could even enjoy his nap for a moment, a black pocket revealed itself beside him as it vibrated, disrupting his planned peaceful rest.

At first, the man ignored the ringing pocket and continued his nap. After all, if he ignored it long enough wouldn't the caller just settle for a voice recorder or simply just call again later, right?

Well, he was right for the most part since people would just do exactly that. Unfortunately for him, the caller this time seemed to be really adamant and set to contact him since the pocket had been ringing more than a quarter of an hour as they had repeated the call by more than a dozen times.

Finally having had enough of it, the brown-haired man opened his eyes and roughly snatched the pocket, and pressed the accept button.

"What do you want!?" He spoke loudly with a grumble without hiding the clear irritation in his voice.

The other line was silent for a second, seemingly stunned by the furious response they had received.

Seeing this, the beast-like man grinned in satisfaction. "Good, just shut the f*ck up and go call someone else. I don't care whoever you are, I don't give a f*ck. Just let me have my damn nap!" He spoke with a haughty and cold voice.

The other line kept their silence for a moment, as the man, grew uninterested and wanted to resume his nap, was about to press the pocket to end the call-

"Is that so? It seems that you really don't care about your own life. Have you become insane to try to talk back to your master, little bear?" A calm and indifferent feminine voice sounded from the opposite line.

Hearing the soft, feminine voice, the beast-like man's eyes grew wide as he gawked wordlessly.

He faked a cough and spoke respectfully. "I am sorry, your highness. I didn't know it was you, you. Please forgive my audacity, you know that I couldn't help it."

The voice was silent as an invisible pressure seemed to appear in the room that made the brown-haired man sweat. Even the bear seemed to also feel it as it opened its eyes and stopped salivating as it closed its mouth.

The pressure built up even more as the silence continued, before the voice spoke out once again.

"Alright, I'll let it slide this time. I know that bear folk like you need a lot of sleep and are easily irritated when your sleep is disrupted. However, if you dare to do it again, I will make sure your life and standing in the family are hellish." Said the voice casually, easing the tension in the room somewhat.

"Don't worry, I understand it well, your highness." The brown-haired man said and heaved in relief.

It was really fortunate for him, it seemed that her mood wasn't bad so he managed to get away relatively scot-free. However, her highness wasn't someone he could take lightly so he needed to be serious.

Knowing this, he used all of his efforts to banish all his sleepiness and turned serious. "So, your highness, what do you need of me? To make someone as noble as you to directly contact this lowly self? It's must be really something of great importance." He inquired politely.

"Indeed, you are quick to catch on. If you are not as lazy as those Phonsecals, you might reach something higher and be much more useful to the family."

The man laughed lightly. "You jest, your highness. To us, bear folks, the need for sleep is just as important as our need for shinsu itself. Anyway, what's your wish, your highness?"

"You know the news about the new princess of Zahard that exploded in popularity recently, right?"

"Of course, your highness. Although I am always sleeping, at least I still make the effort to pay attention to important news to stay up to date." He spoke with a reassuring voice.

"Good then, I don't need to elaborate much. What I need you to do is simple, try your best to stop and stall her climbing and if possible, permanently." The voice stated calmly.

Hearing this, the bear folk scrunched his eyebrows as he sat up. He pondered her words deeply for a few seconds before opening his mouth. "That's something really hard to achieve, your highness. And permanently? That's practically impossible."

"With her recent accomplishments, many eyes are focused on her, especially after the failure on the 75th floor. Many people are started to back her up because of that so if we do anything to her, we are at a high risk of being found out."

"If we are found out that we are scheming against the new prodigious and famous princess of Zahard of the loyalist faction, many people definitely won't like it, even our family. We can receive huge backlashes, your highness. Even you won't be able to easily get away scot-free." Said the bear folk seriously.
