CHAPTER 9

(A/n: So while writing my boruto crossover fic, I decided to re-watch boruto and check how much has Tsunade's appearance changed.

Surprisingly she didn't change at all and I laughed my ass off at the discovery.

Funniest shit I have seen this day.

I also finished rouge legacy 2 and there is some items that I am interested to take from there.

for example: a ring that give you another life and heals 50% of your health point.

It's more convenient than totem of undying despite the totem winning out from the buff.)

"Whoa!"

"Ship!"

"Woahwoahwoah. Calm, buddy, calm. I need you to be quiet, okay?"

"Good, first. Jump once if you can understand me."

"Heh, you seem excited. Promise me that you'll be quiet then you can watch me play games while resting on my shoulder."

"Hey, bud. Can you upgrade my phone to fit the crystal chip…unlimited Wi-Fi…super… processor."

"Hey, buddy. If you can disguise yourself as a phone the whole time. I'll bring you home."

It's 17:04 pm and I'm on my way home. I'd love to stay longer but my father texted me to go home. Telling me that something urgent is happening, so unfortunately I have to leave.

But I did manage to give Milyana one totem of undying, she's happy and questions where I bought it because it seems well made.

I didn't tell her and just made out with her for a few minutes before going home.

A few things happened but if I were to shorten it:

1. Jarvis.

2. Loads of money on the internet and my bank account.

3. Introduce the fairy to new members which are Ship, Cortana, and Jarvis.

4. Ask Ship to upgrade my phone.

5. Ask Ship to disguise as a phone so I can take him everywhere I go.

And that's it. I wanted to bring the pod and possibly 2b from nier but I shook the thought out of my head and decided to bring them when I live alone.

It won't be long before I can headpat that square pod head!

Cortana is currently on my upgraded phone while Jarvis has my whole laptop for himself.

With two advanced AI in my command they are… mostly idle. So I ask Jarvis to research nanotech-iron man suits to pass time.

I won't expect much result but meh, maybe I should bring some Nano technology from a game here?

But which game?

While I ask Jarvis to research, Cortana was tasked to investigate the inherited land of Milyana's maternal grandparents.

Surprise surprise, what I found shocked me quite a bit.

It was true, they do own some land and don't have to pay taxes as long as their bloodline still lives.

There was no scam.

I am quite disappointed because I don't have an enemy to use the AI to but very glad that there is nothing bad happening to her… and her mother, of course.

From what Cortana found, it seems that Milyana's maternal grandparents were quite rich as they have several shares over a few companies overseas.

But I don't know how Milyana's maternal grandparents own so much land without paying taxes to the country as Cortana didn't find anything else except the agreement and some dealings.

Though she offered to search more deeply on the information, I declined and told her to leave the government site and officials' devices, especially the president and his vice… along with the ministers.

…Honestly though, I was kind of disappointed that the government security was so easy to breach. Didn't take Cortana even a second to breach it.

The hackers must have earned a lot of money from the Intel they have stolen.

Or maybe I'm just underestimating Cortana's hacking ability and I shouldn't have even compared the ability of an AI hacker with a human hacker?

Yeah, probably that's it.

The government is lucky that I'm a good guy, because aside from telling Cortana to copy a few classified files, I didn't do anything.

Anyways, the process was very exhilarating, the whole time I felt my heart thumping from excitement, that feeling confirmed that it was one of the baddest things I've done in my life.

And it seems Milyana's maternal grandparents were not the only ones as several figures too have that privilege.

Who are they? Well, it seems most are from the current distinguished family clan.

*sniff* *sniff* Can you smell that? 

*sniff* It smells like politics *sniff*

And plot.

To think that Clans from old still have this much privilege, I'm jealous.

I guess that's the power of family.

Anyway, I ask Cortana to look out for news about abnormal things or people who awaken superpowers in the whole world.

There are a few but nothing is confirmed.

This made me think, is this the new age of humanity?

Will it be a world like those comics books and anime?

A world of heroes and villains.

Hero academy or superpowers academy.

Qi/ether/mana was sealed and now it has been unsealed or something like that.

Maybe dungeons or gates will start popping up?

Hmm, not really liking the idea of hero academy but kind of expecting what future this world will have with super powered individuals.

I'm sure it will be chaotic then. Heh.

Even then, I think I'll be alright. With my powers and the various games out there, I'll be fine.

Nothing chaotic has really happened and if it did, I'm sure I'll be strong enough to protect those who are close to me.

Oh, right. Speaking of chaos. I also upgraded my qi-gathering array to lv 20, quite a hassle but I did it.

And because of that I didn't have the chance to open [Tale of Immortal] and grab a few martial arts so I had to make do with the self improving technique from [Idle Taoist].

[Demon Banishing] Sutra

[Three Purities Sect] Physical Spell.

[Three Purities Sect] Shift skill.

From top to bottom each book if trained will improve:

Life essence

Vital energy

Strength

And lastly dexterity.

At least in the game.

Not that I've read it yet. Maybe tomorrow, along with a few martial arts from [Tale of Immortal].

"Hm?"

A familiar car was parked in front of the garage as I stopped my bike just on the street in front of the house.

The trunk of the car is opened with a few luggage filling it.

Now, I have a bad feeling about this.

"Hey, you're finally here." My dad spoke as he saw me. A luggage in both hands as he moved to put the luggage inside the trunk.

He clasped his hand as he turned to face me. "Get the bike inside the house and pack up your stuff. We're leaving."

"What?" I exclaimed. My mind was short-circuiting as the worst possible outcome passed through my mind. "Why? What happened?"

Please don't say road trip Please don't say roadtripPlease don't say roadtripPlease don't say road trip–

My dad grunted at my question. "Your mother's uncle died and tomorrow is the funeral." He said and closed the trunk. "So we're going today and going home the day after tomorrow."

Dammit, a road trip. I sighed.

"Which uncle?" I asked as my dad headed to the house again.

"Don't know, don't care." Was his reply.

Great.

"Kris! You're finally home." My mom spoke as I turned towards her. "Get that bike inside and take your bag. I already packed your stuff."

Great.

I sighed. "Can I stay? I don't really want to go." She frowned at my words.

"No. All your cousins will be there so we all have to be there too." My mom stated. "And your uncle took care of me a lot when I was abused by your grandma. So being there with the family I build is the least I can do."

Her tone carries a hint of sadness as she spoke which she noticed. "Besides, it's not like you have anything to do alone." She laughed and went back inside.

My face went stiff as she said that.

Really, if you're sad. Don't insult your son and change the mood on your own.

I sighed for the umpteenth time and pushed my bike inside the house.

As I went to grab the bag my mom packed for me. I saw my brothers playing with their phones in the living room.

I wonder if anyone is seeing what I'm seeing.

A target to mess around with.

"Hey!" I greeted them as I approached.

"Hm."

"Kris!"

My younger and youngest replied respectively. The younger one acknowledged but still facing his phone while the youngest waved his hand at me.

I waved back and smiled while seeing my younger brother still facing his phone.

"Are you guys ready for the road trip?"

Both of their faces turn into a grimace as my younger brother faces away from his phone to me.

"Fuck you too."

I laughed as I went to pat his head and my youngest brother's head who crossed his hands while narrowing his eyes at me.

He seems to disapprove of his brother's bad word and me the one who caused the said brother to say a bad word.

I just shrugged after patting their head and went to grab the bag before going to my room and locking it.

After making sure that I really locked the door. I opened up my bag and put a finger on my lips as Bella and Misty flew out from the bag.

They seem to get it as I saw Misty close her eyes and put both hands in front of her.

After a few seconds, I saw blue-colored energy that is shaped like a circle. I didn't even get to see the circle properly before the circle broke and reformed to a thin energy that covered us.

"Phew, it works." Misty wiped the sweat on her forehead as she spoke.

"We can speak without anyone hearing  our conversation here." Misty added while turning to face me. "I'm not used to the spell yet so it will only last for about five minutes."

I nodded at her.

This is useful, I will learn it from her when I'm done with martial arts.

"Amazing!" Bella exclaimed. Her eyes seemed to shine as she looked at the thin energy closely while touching it.

"I know that we have this spell but I didn't have the chance to learn it before the hero catches me and this spell seems to be improved?" She giddily spoke while turning to face Misty. "Can you teach me!?"

"I'm surprised that you noticed." Misty smiled. "Sure, I will teach you the spell—ouf!?"

Bella tackled Misty into a hug as soon as she heard Misty agree to teach her which knocked the air out of Misty's lungs.

My chest aches just from seeing it.

"Thank you! Thank you!"

Misty stiffly pat Bella's back. "Okay… okay… release…me…"

Bella released her from the hug while still smiling.

Though, I have enough comedy right now. I coughed to get their attention.

Seeing both of them facing me, I begin to speak. "As you've probably heard. My family and I will be going to a funeral."

They both nodded their heads as I paused. "The road will be long and boring, so will you come with me or stay here?"

"With you!"

"Come! I will come!"

They both answered, though I and Misty deadpanned at Bella's answer as her innuendo is as clear as day for us to hear.

Bella's face reddened while biting her lip as she gave me this look that says "SEGS!" all over it.

"Ack!" Bella covered her head with both hands as Misty just hand chopped her head.

A smile blossomed on my face as I saw that and shook my head. "If you're coming then you won't have the time to train or… sex. So no."

I watched as Bella's face immediately turned into a disappointed one.

"We won't change our mind, hero." Misty said while putting her hand on Bella's shoulder as Bella nodded at her words. 

"Yes… we're still coming…hehe— Ack!"

After the conversation, I took out the shulker chest, grabbed a few things before picking the chest up and put it inside a small bag then hid it under the folded blanket. 

Yep, I think this is safe enough. The house will be empty anyways so it doesn't matter where I put it.

All I have to do now is put my laptop and the books from idle Taoist inside the bag my mom prepared for me then I'm all set.

With this I'm all set.
