Going to the first person that was nearby, Althea tried speaking to them. Trying to talk with the man a couple times she didn't get a single response. "He can't hear me." Jumping to a woman nearby Althea tried again only for the same result. Going to a few more Althea was left with no kind of response at all. Feeling frustrated that none of them heard her she kept trying, there wasn't any giving up. Going into a more nerdy girl's mind Althea spoke up and waited for a response. "Can she really not hear me as well?" Just as she was about to give up she watched Yulrin's eyes traverse the room strangely. "Did she hear me just now?" Speaking up again she watched Yulrin closely.
"She definitely heard me, I can't tell if she's just ignoring me or not though."
Another groan of pain left Xilo's mouth as Althea stopped wasting time. Saying what she needed to say regardless if Yulrin heard her or not she went to the next person. The next person was Vandor who showed similar signs as Yulrin. "Am I to weak?" Scratching her head, Althea soon went to every person in the room except for one. Raran was the left person left for her to try. "Please." Practically begging, Althea entered Raran's mind and tried to ask him for help. Peeking up from the book he was reading Raran felt like he heard a faint voice speaking to him. "Strange." He tried to find who was talking to him around the room but everyone seemed busy.
"Am I being fucked with?"
Ignoring it, he went back to reading his book when he heard it again.
"We were told to be quiet and let Xilo concentrate, are people really this stupid?"
Shaking his head he exerted his pleasure as he was about to speak up, now wasn't the time for these kinds of games.
"No you idiot, It's not anyone around you. Listen to the voice in your mind dammit!"
"Huh?"
Pausing he heard that loud and clear. "The voice in my mind?" Confused, he concentrated on the voice as she talked again. "Yes, me." "Who are you!?" Instantly on alert Raran spread out his energy to check his surroundings. "Thankfully you can hear me, now calm down. I won't hurt you or anyone here." Suspicion filled his mind as did his best to listen. "If you're not trying to hurt me, what do you want?" "I need you to help me help Xilo." With Xilo's name being brought up Raran knew he couldn't ignore it. "....How?" "No time to explain, just gather everyone here and get ready to fight." Standing up Raran wasn't sure what to do but if it was to help Xilo it could be important.
"Hey everyone, Xilo apparently needs our help."
Talking quietly he grabbed Vandor and Yulrin's attention first before the others.
"Now what?"
Althea started to explain.
"Xilo's currently fighting the core, I need you all to go out into the Astral and start to kill the Astral Beasts in it. It should help weaken it and give Xilo the edge he needs. I know it might sound strange but I know you and Xilo are extremely similar. Both with blood of demons in you, I don't know how else I can get you to trust me."
"...Yeah, yeah I'll help."
Having everyone staring at him suddenly Raran explained the plan to them.
"Why are you asking us to do this Raran, we should guard Xilo."
"It's hard to explain. There's this voice in my head telling me to help and I trust it enough to listen. Xelfia and the other girls can stay here with Xilo just in case. They should be able to defend him and if Xilo really needs our help we need everyone here."
Rubbing his chin, Vandor was confused when he said a voice in his head.
"So there really was someone trying to talk to me."
"You heard it as well?"
Yulrin always jumped in when Vandor mentioned that.
"Yes, though I ignored it but it looks like that was a mistake. Alright Raran we'll listen to this plan. You girls hear that?"
Peeking over at their little group Xelfia waved them off.
"If it's to help Xilo, go for it. We'll be fine."
Just like that their group's went back to the surface as they left the mountain area. Releasing a sigh of relief Althea was glad one person was able to actually hear her. "He even listened to me." With that worry off her chest she turned back to Xilo and kept her focus on him. Vandor, Yulrin, Raran and Keld's group reached the forest area as they all split up into their own teams. Their goal was to slaughter as many Astral Beasts as they could in order to weaken the Astral Zone. "Hopefully this works." Being the most on alert Vandor smashed a wolf Beast into the ground and crushed its skull. The slaughter of this zone had just begun. While that happened Xilo continued to fight against the tentacle onslaught.
"How the hell do I do this?"
More of his energy was being eaten away by the Core, if he didn't hurry it up his timer would be up. More beasts died in the outside world by the second as Xilo fought. "Hmmm?" Noticing a small difference from before Xilo felt like the tentacles we're getting weaker for a second. Pushing that theory to the limit XIlo went for an attack and slashed a bunch of them up all at once. "So it is getting weaker." Taking advantage of that Xilo kept up the assault.
"If this keeps up I might be able to do it."
Another Astral Beast met it's fate as Yulrin sliced it open on the spot, not even bothering to confirm the kill she moved onto the next Beast with her group.
"Keep it up guys, We'll see which group can kill the most beasts."
