Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Two Against One

"That's great, you have to tell me all about it."

Hugging Xilo quickly as she congratulated him she forgot Tearia was in the room for a second but when she looked up and saw her smiling at her feeling slight shivers ran down her spine as she remembered they weren't alone she detached herself as some embarrassment washed over her. Watching that Tearia had a slight look of jealousy pass by but quickly got past it as she smiled and looked into Xelfia's eyes. "Hmph, I'll let it slide this time.." Thinking of how long she had been asleep she let it go for now.

"Well yes I have gained some more power but that doesn't mean we should go back into the Astral Zone with Xelfia, Tearia. She just woke up and probably needs some time to adjust and whatnot so we should give her some more time. I don't want another accident happening so soon after the last one.

Trying to get the conversation back on track a little bit Xilo spoke a little sadly. If Xelfia actually ended up in another accident after all this so soon just because he wanted to show off a little he would never forgive himself. One scare was already one too many in his mind.

"Instead I can just tell her it should be fine that way."

"But it's easier to show them isn't that right? Also Xelfia should be fine after my grandmother had checked on her and if you're still really worried we can always get her to sit out of the fighting well we stay closer to the gate where a lot of people hang around. That way nothing dangerous should happen. We had been in the past with just the two of us with that method ourselves."

Tearia looked at Xelfia after saying that for agreement.

"Don't you agree, Xelfia? I'm sure you would love to see it too. It's quite a sight and probably something you wouldn't believe without seeing."

Xilo and Xelfia couldn't disagree with such an argument but Xilo had some things tugging at the back of his mind. "Why push this so hard, there's nothing wrong with waiting a couple of days for Xelfia to heal.." Though now that he thought about it, it seemed somewhat normal for Tearia. In the past couple of months he had been with her, he had been dragged around quite a few times by her in the same way as now.

However back then he couldn't really argue himself out of it like this time. Now with Xelfia awake he was sure to have some much needed help and support.

He didn't exactly hate going around with Tearia but the places he brought him always bought him in a tough spot. Like clothes shopping or an auction house for random items. One place was awkward and didn't exactly suit a person like him and the other was full of people from all over the country. The pressure he had felt walking into their was suffocating though it did allow him to get some grasps on others strengths. Unfortunately he didn't find anything he liked there. At the very least though Tearia had gotten the thing she had wanted but he had no idea what it did. All he knew was that it looked like a bottle of colourful liquid which he assumed was just perfume.

Though that wasn't to say there weren't quite a few weapons he did see that he wouldn't have minded having however he really didn't have much money to his name. Heck the only reason he could still live in this inn so easily was because Tearia's grandparents let him stay for free. Though he was able to help pay them back with his collections of herbs over the months so his guilt was lessened that way even if it didn't completely disappear.

"I...."

Looking at Xelfia he really hoped she would help him out here.

"I'm fine with the idea myself."

"Wha..."

Shock flashed through his face but that quickly passed as he laughed a little. Maybe he was just being too sensitive about the whole matter. "I can't become too over protective. That wouldn't be good for the both of us, maybe Tearia is right." Now that Xelfia had agreed with Tearia herself he had no more ground to stand on himself as he sighed a little and accepted it.

"Fine. We can go but we can't stay too long. Even if Xelfia is fine with it herself it doesn't mean I am fully on board."

"Haha. That's fine, I'm excited to see it too since you never really showed me much either."

Delighted that they both agreed Tearia jumped for joy in place and did a quick turn before returning for normal. Now that they had all agreed she was happy that everything was going smoothly. Something she wasn't used to. Xilo seeing her twirl and jumping around he shaked his head in slight exasperation. "She really does act like a child sometimes." though that didn't stop him from having a slight smile float

across his face that Xelfia didn't miss.

"Well, well. Let's get going."

"Yes, yes."

With that Xelfia sat up and stretched her body for the first time in months. Thankfully she didn't feel any big discomfort as she moved about. It seemed she would be fine on this trip which was a good thing. Though it wouldn't be dangerous regardless. After that the three left the room and headed for the front entrance and met with Tearia's grandparents. After explaining what they planned to do they did express their worries but they reassured them and got them to agree after that. With that they set out the door and quickly headed in the direction of the Astral Zone with the voices of the two behind them.

"Be careful."

Xilo felt some warmth flow through him as those words entered his ears while travelling with the two ladies by his side. "I wonder what's in store for the future." Thinking of future possibilities they finally arrived in front of the Gate to the Astral Zone after walking for a while.

"We're here."

What is in store for the future I wonder c:
