"...Selfish."
Silently Relia came to her own decision as Azalu talked to her. "Sure you can handle it?" "Of course I can." "Very well then." She had been forced awake by Relia the second Xilo showed himself his new form. They had been talking ever since. Finally though Relia was ready to do something and that wasn't something Azalu planned to stop. She would much rather encourage it instead for growth. "Something that even I don't know about is rare." Looking at Xilo, she flipped through all the memories she had in her head but found nothing similar. "Give him hell for me too, Relia." "You got it." Taking out the weapon Xilo gave her she gripped Mystical Azure tightly as elements started to swirl around it.
"Ready to fight as well I see Relia, we gotta give him a good thrashing but first we should probably take care of the other one. I don't think Xilo is going to lose but he's annoying and will just make this harder. I'll focus on him and you can distract Xilo."
"...Got it."
"Eh? What are you two doing?"
Hearing Tearia's confused voice interrupting her plan Xelfia answered back in a relaxed tone no different from always.
"We're going to beat those two up till they can't move. If words won't work then strength will. You're joining us right?"
"What.. I uH-"
Cut off before she could say anything else, she watched Xelfia grab Relia's hand as they ran forward without hesitation leaving Tearia all alone besides Seli. Feeling a little lost, Tearia didn't run ahead with them. Instead she stayed there in silence with a lot of thoughts running through her head. "Why did...they react like that?" They both took it a lot easier than she had ever imagined and while she should be happy, she wasn't. Instead she felt confused as Seli poked her on the back. Breaking out of thought she looked up to see the pink haired women staring at her with a soft smile.
"Aren't you going to follow, Tearia?"
The coldness she had from before was once again gone.
"I..uh..Yes, of course I am just..."
"Feel inferior to them suddenly?"
"..."
Rubbing Tearia's head Seli smiled like a gentle older sister.
"It's okay to feel that, just don't wallow in it. Get out there and prove to yourself and them that you're just as good. You clearly care about Xilo and were worried about their reactions to this. Anyone can see this and from my guess you probably didn't react that well the first time from the way you are acting now. However you shouldn't compare yourself to others too much, it's not healthy. Instead go out there and drag your man back from the depths he fell in alongside them."
"What about you?"
"I'm going to stay back and protect the merchant just in case anything goes wrong. You three don't seem weak at all, especially Xelfia so I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck."
With a slight push on her back Tearia turned around and stared at the battlefield before her. Taking out Ravenous Tearia didn't sigh or get down on herself again this time. Instead she proudly smiled as she ran towards her friends. Joining Relia as she blocked one of Xilo's stray attacks she helped deflect with her as they both grabbed Xilo's full attention. Swinging her Scythe she attacked Xilo and lightning bounced off Ravenous for a quick second before jumping to Xilo's blades. Once that happened it bolted around his body causing him slight pain but slowed his movements. Relia on the other hand took to a distance as she started to use her Elements to the fullest.
She was weak when it came to any close combat but when it came to Elements that weren't fire she was incredibly strong. With an Elemental Path and three Elements under control of her she was quite a gifted Talent that most people would kill to have. However one of her Elements wasn't natural and so it was incredibly unstable. "The Fire Element." Since she couldn't use that element properly she was forced to use her others. "Water and Wind." Those were the natural Elements she was initially born with. It wasn't until she was captured and tortured did she gain fire from all those Experiments the Belturn City Clan's people did to her.
She was free now and no longer a tool but one day she would have to solve the fire inside of her or that's what she thought at least. Azalu would never tell her the truth until the day she died most likely. "Maybe one day if she overcomes the Trials ahead of her." Sighing Azalu sat with her face in her hands as she watched Relia attack Xilo with a wave of water while using wind to slow him down. Slicing through the air, Water blades slashed at Xilo as Tearia's Lightning Energy combined with it on his skin. They were completely in sync without ever practicing. A rare sight for even the most skilled individuals.
"Tearia!"
"I'm on it, thanks."
Slamming into the figure attacking Xilo, Xelfia's arms had fully covered themselves in scales along with the weapon Xilo gave her. With Crimson Fangs she slashed at the man in front of her as she forced him away from Xilo. He was extremely strong but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle right now. Ripping at his skin every chance she could get, she felt his surprise at her sudden attacks. Dodging such a sudden attack, Zelfin was taken by surprise by the beauty who had entered the fight. "You're ruining it!" Mad that someone was interfering with their one on one fight, Zelfin slashed his blade straight at her throat. He only had twenty seconds left of his boosted power. After that time was up he would be running dry on energy and unable to do much besides defend himself.
"Who are you and why are you helping such a monster."
"Xilo isn't a monster, you're just too blind to see that."
"Whatever, you can die then. I don't really care."
Backhanding the blade coming from her throat she created water energy in her fist as she punched forward right for his stupid face. With the added weight she dug her feet into the ground as Astral Energy went crazy throughout her body. She could feel herself slipping slightly but she got a grip on herself. She wouldn't let a repeat of what happened last time happen again. Especially with Xilo's current condition. Feeling her fist connect she heard a grunt of pain as Zelfin was too slow to react in time. Pleased she was able to hit him she felt a sword rip into her body. Shocked for a second she looked down to see the blade she knocked away slicing at her stomach.
"You aren't a match for me, leave me be."
Without the scales on her stomach protecting her she might have been a lot more injured then she was.
"Oh please, you're not that tough. The only thing strong about you is your ego."
