Reminisce Of Times That Passed

As He slowly but surely woke up that morning the sun illuminated his face as it passed through the tree branches and leaves that were surrounding him. like every day after a couple of years after he started his training he started to live outside the Fiery Clan and started to become more and more independent.

Though the biggest reason he started doing such a thing was to get away from that cold and distant place. Even if being alone wasn't the greatest thing in the world to him it was much better then being ignored and verbally abused by everyone around him.

"jeez one thing I can't get use to though is sleeping on tree branches they just aren't nearly as comfortable as beds even if said bed was broken and run down. it was still better than this."

Complaining once again at his lack of a comfortable place to live in, he stretched his back and tried to work any possible kinks in his body out of him and get his system running. He also circled all the energy in his body throughout it to help get him going.

While waking up once again like any other typical morning for him he slowly started to look around with his sharp gaze at the surroundings to see if there was any danger in his immediate vicinity. When he didn't see anything with his eyes he then began using his perception to look around instead.

Of course his perception was just him using the energy in his body and bringing it out and around him to see if it touched any living thing. Which in turn would alert him of any possible danger around him. He could also practice lengthening the energy he could bring out of his body. Of course he didn't have to do this but he honed it into himself almost like an instinct every morning so that he wouldn't be put into danger at least immediately.

The biggest reason as to why this was practically second nature to him at this time is because, before when he didn't do this simply because he was either too lazy or unable to at first it ended up with him being attacked either at the break of dawn or sometimes even in the middle of the night which majorly sucked for a multitude of reasons.

Though he learned his lesson after a couple of times and finally started to thoroughly train himself to stay on high alert 24/7 no matter how tired he was or how safe he was. In doing so he actually gained benefits for a lot of things besides just his safety.

He could now have a longer time actively concentrated on certain tasks and it gave him a significant boost in mental stamina and of course saved him a couple of times. It also made the energy in his body able to travel further outside of it and gave it a sharper more cleaner feel then people who might not do things similar to him..

After checking with his perception he finally partially lowered his guard and started his morning, in which today he would be reporting back to the Fiery Clan.

Unfortunately even if he tried to be more independent and distant from the Fiery Clan he still had to report in once a month so they could make sure he was still "alive" and at the very least the mongrels could say they did their duty in raising and watching him. Even if they thought he was a monster.

Now if someone were to ask it he hated the Fiery clan for how he was raised and treated then unfortunately he couldn't entirely say yes. Of course he had his reasons for not totally hating the clan or even wishing to kill them.

The first and foremost being he wasn't a monster and didn't wish to prove to them that he was by doing such a thing. Secondly even though he'd been physically and verbally abused they never did kill him at the very least. Which in turn allowed him to get to the point where he is now where they only verbally abused him and kept their distance.

Lastly though, he just simply wasn't that kind of person, at least not at the moment. He preferred being on the nicer side to people even if everyone misunderstands him and thinks he's an evil monster. He was Just simply lonely and even if it was the worst place for him to be and eventually wanted to leave they did treat him nice at first and it was the only place he could technically call "home" even if he really didn't want to and would of loved to run away and sometimes even did wish to kill them.

But for the most part he tried not to let that feeling rule him when it did come over him or he felt like he might lose something important if he did but he didn't really know exactly what. Jumping down from his tree he slowly started his morning run on the way to his destination. Passing by all kinds of trees of different shapes and sizes and slightly different coloured leaves. His morning trek was up the mountain and since he didn't want to simply rush there he began to take his time. As he did so he started to reminisce about the past.

At first when he arrived at the Fiery Clan he wasn't treated badly in fact he was treated quite well. People would be round the clock surrounding him and always smiling and having fun around him even if he didn't completely understand what was going on at that age he knew they were happy or so it seemed.

But as time went on people got colder and colder to him and also more distant. The him then was oblivious to the actual reason and he still is now for the most part but a part of him knew from the looks he received or the treatment as time went on that something was different about him. Something that made people afraid of him.

As he grew older and older in his clan it got even more and more apparent to him and confirmed his speculation that he was different. People started whispering about him things he could sometimes hear and sometimes things he couldn't hear at all but the one thing he heard most of all was probably the thing that shocked him the most.

"Its that thing"

He was a person, a human to his knowledge and was labeled by the people around him that he was a thing. To them he wasn't even a person anymore, he was just simply That or it to them. It continued to still get more and more worse. Even more and more people started distancing themselves from him and finally he was even abused at some point by spoiled kids that thought the world revolved around them.

At the time he still didn't have any strength at all so the kids there that did practice some Astral Techniques and energy were by far stronger than him at the time. They would take him to take places where not many people visited and practically gang beat him till he was bloody and barely breathing.

all it was to him at that time and everything in his vision was a flurry of fists and feet punching and kicking. While spewing abusive words like.

"Monster"

"Parasite"

"Stupid mongrel"

"Thing"

"Our live practice dummy"

And so much more. After when they finally ran out of energy and words to say as the spit their saliva all over his face they would leave him alone. Thankfully though his body wasn't normal and he could quickly heal back a lot of wounds over short periods of times but that still didn't fix everything and only further edged everyone on to keep calling him a monster because only higher ranked Astral Keepers could heal faster and he hadn't even started, let alone have any Astral Energy in his body.

Even after the beatings no one helped him and no adults stopped it so it continued from then on with nothing he could do at the time. He didn't know how to fight back or how to live on his own so all he could was silently accept it.

But every once in a while an extremely violent urge would flare up in him that he couldn't control and pressed him to slaughter everything around him. Which at the time and till this day still scares him to this point.

It felt like he wasn't himself.

"So Lonely...." he muttered in the silent aftermath of his beating and dragged himself up once again to go to the room he called "home."

After that point He started acting cold and more indifferent and talking way less or not interacting with any of the clan members more and more as time went on until one point he became completely indifferent and mute anywhere he was whether they were around or not. His act finally became a part of him even if he didn't realize it or want that to happen. But life isn't that easy, at least not at that time.

Even when he tried to go out of his way to make distance himself people instead got more and more scared because of that. People started openly calling him "monster" and what not and some even started to think he was "plotting" something against them like he was some sorta crazed murderer and eventually locked him in a room where he could only stay there and leave for short periods of the day or go and visit the town.

At that point though the boy had truly given up on trying any more and began to try and find stuff out on his own and slowly do things by himself becoming "independent" in a sense.

He slowly but surely taught himself how to read more words and how to speak to some extent from the books he found around town.

His biggest desire started to stem from seeing everyone around him in town or the Clan when he wasn't noticed laughing, getting along with each other and appearing happy. Constantly seeing those sights slowly grew the desire in him to obtain something like that as well one day. But when that would come he had no idea.

So he just kept looking and trying to find ways to change until one day he finally came across a book about the stories of different people around the world in the past who could save everyone around them and do whatever they wanted all with the power of Astral.

When he saw things like that the feeling of wanting to get stronger himself so he could protect himself and find others like him in the world and potentially grow closer to them grew even more passionate as it ingrained itself in his head.

"This is what I need."

After stumbling upon and reading that book he slowly worked to solidifying this goal he had found and tried to find any way to do such a thing. Until one day it happened he found another book called "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" which was a book to get stronger or at the very least start down his harsh path. He only learned some information from that book though seeing as how it was only for beginners and it was old and dusty rotting on an old bookshelf in a far back corner. But there were two very important things he learned.

Astral Power and Body Fortification.

"Hahahha...finally"

Reading that he let out a loud satisfied cold laugh that felt like he was releasing all of his pent up stress.

It was Time.
