One's Own Tale

The poison wiggled itself inside Xilo's arm causing a light burn. Kicking Hunter away from him, he stumbled back into Xelfia's grasp. Grabbing at his body Xelfia locked him down as he held his arms down, giving Xilo a free chance. With Hunter locked down Xilo used some energy to complete his blade. Raising his hand overhead he struck downwards, trying to cut him into pieces. Xilo only hit the air as he saw Hunter's body turning into a pile of gross bubbly purple liquid. Dispersing on the floor, it gathered together again. In its place was Hunter laughing as he threw his head back. He was looking down on them and wasn't hiding it.

"I'm not so easy to capture. It's going to take a lot more than just the two of you. By the way, Xilo, how is that arm? I'm sure the poison is setting in by now."

"Huh?"

Unsure as to what Hunter was talking about, Xilo tried to move his arm. It was a lot slower than before and the pain had increased. "So he has a numbing poison." Using his energy he tried to isolate it, if that spread he could easily be out of the fight. "A nasty element." It meant that they had to be a lot more careful around him if they wanted to win. Grasping Icebreaker with both hands Xilo released an Ice Field onto the ground and slid forward. This was something he had been practising with Aeon for the past couple weeks. Thanks to Aeon's tips he had managed to improve significantly with it. With an increase in speed Xilo got in Hunter's face before he could react.

"Not happening."

Liquid leaked from his legs causing the ice underneath him to melt wherever he walked. Thrusting his arm out, he caught Xilo mid swing. Grabbing him by the neck Hunter applied a little bit of pressure. Just enough to break his outer skin with his nails. While blood ran across his fingers Hunter let some poison in as his smile grew more sadistic. Struggling to breathe Xilo felt more foreign energy entering his body. Doing his best to keep it at bay Xilo kept searching for a way to escape Hunter's grip. Ice appeared around his body like an outer shell encircling him and froze Hunter's arm only for a second though. Like his Ice Field it quickly melted as Hunter tightened his grip.

"Are you really the one who caused so much trouble for us? You're a lot weaker than I imagined you'd be. Yet Hazel and Delfex seem to have this big hatred for you and the girl over there. I don't get it but oh well. Their petty grudges aren't why I'm here. I want the girl, Relia. I know she's with you, so hand her over. She's my tool and I'd like her back. You have zero idea what she's capable of and no way to control her. Honestly it'd be safer if you gave her to me."

"So..you can torture her more?"

His eyes grew crazy as he got closer to Xilo's face.

"I was making her obedient. She's too unstable and can't even control herself. If she were to unleash all that power, we'd be in trouble. So I kindly put it upon myself to wrap a nice leash around her neck. Now tell me where she is or I'll end everyone's life here and I'll be sure to take all the time in the world. It'll be a personal show just for you. Ever heard your friends screams, their cries of despair. It's a very lovely sound, so hopefully you enjoy it to.``

Raising his right numb arm Xilo grabbed Hunter's arm and stared at his madness. "So this is what Relia had to live with." This man didn't have a shred of empathy or sympathy. There was only a lust for his own selfish desires, the want to make another person's life a living hell. Relia had told Xilo a few of those stories when they were together. "It had always felt like she down played them." Each scar carved on Relia's body was a story of pain written by the man in front of him. Xilo had tried his best to erase that ink but he knew it would never fade, some ink was permanent. Xilo refused to let those tales play out again, this was his new chapter and he planned to keep it that way.

"You're a sad man Hunter."

Flinching at Xilo's words Hunter didn't expect that kind of reply. "You little." Losing his cool, Hunter failed to notice Xelfia. Claws ripped into his back digging their way in. Before letting out a shout of pain his body turned into liquid again as he moved away. Taking in a deep breath of air Xilo thanked Xelfia as he watched the black haired psychopath reappear. "It looks like that injury stuck." Noticing the slight hunch of his back, Xilo knew they were making progress. After checking on his neck Xilo moved in with Xelfia right behind him this time. Fed up with their little games Hunter exhaled as purple liquid spread into the air. A purple cloud formed in the air filling the entire battlefield with poison.

Friend or foe Hunter didn't have a single care in the world. He simply wanted to beat Xilo until he couldn't look down on him anymore. Covering his mouth Xilo tried to stop himself from inhaling anything. "Too late." He could already feel it entering its body, slowing him down. "Relia isn't here to help us get rid of it." If they had the Wind Element there was a possibility they could have pushed it away. "Relia...." Letting her scales protect her, Xelfia checked on everyone else quickly. "He's hurting his own side." Her eyes slanted in disgust at such a sight. "I'll rip him apart." Ignoring the poison Xelfia got close to Hunter as she clawed at his body. She didn't manage to hit him, however she stopped him from spreading any more poison.

"So you're an Astral Beast. No wonder you seem to be immune to my tricks. Don't worry though it'll affect you too. Just takes a bit more time."

A lopsided smile full of smugness appeared on Hunter's face.

"I'll just end you before that."

Another set of claws came right for his throat as Hunter casually backed up. Twirling his blade, Hunter stabbed it straight into Xelfia's blind spot. Feeling it dig into her waist Hunter injected poison into her body as he laughed like a mad man. Ignoring how many screws he had loose Xelfia shoved Hunter away from her and pulled the blade out directly. Tossing it to the ground, Xelfia neutralized the poison as best she could. "Seems like he was right." Attacking him again Xelfia had to pick up the pace, if she didn't they might lose. "Looks like it's time to see what these Demonic powers are all about." Her scales began to change colour as well as her hair. A blazing black flame came to life as small horns sprouted from her head.

Putting power into arms she let a small blackhole form in her hand.

Enjoy.
