Not A Normal Situation

"I wonder what else this can really do..."

Covering himself in a layer of Astral Darkness he walked out of his little bubble of safety. "I guess I'll find out eventually." Completely exposed now he halted just to make sure nothing was going to attempt to attack him or notice him and after a minute of that he felt some relief as he looked at his surroundings. "So many...." Laid in front of him were thousands of Astral Beasts with no end in sight. From some of the species he had seen before like Keltals to things he hadn't seen before but they seemed to have one in common for the most part. "I don't see any spirit types around and...They all seem to be focusing on something for the most part." Staring at one of the Fire Chargers that was close to him, some slight fear appeared however the thing just ignored him as it stared towards the center of the Wasteland almost as if it was attracted to that area.

Yet when he looked towards one of the Keltals nearby it seemed to be less interested in whatever seemed to be there. "What's the difference?" Making slow movements he kept himself low and slow while he moved forward trying to get a better look at things. Walking next to a Kefin that was similar to a wolf except for the ice fur that it had he stared at it for a couple seconds before moving on to the next beast, an undead he had seen before that also seemed to mindly stare forwards as well. "Hmmm..It seems most Beasts here seem to be affected and way less hostile" The only one that he could find that showed a a bit of difference was the Keltals but even they seemed way more tame compared to the first one he encountered.

"Maybe it's the level of intelligence or because they tend to be stronger beasts? Regardless it seems moving in that direction is probably my best bet for figuring something out." Looking at the walls that surrounded the whole wasteland of Beasts he had already given up on the idea of climbing out even if he could. "I'm not found out yet so that's good as well." Weaving through Beasts he travelled forward trying to find out more information until an hour of walking had passed. "Looks like it's time." Seeing his Darkness start to fade he quickly reapplied it as looked around in case something noticed him.

"There really isn't a pattern to this place is there?" He had noticed something strange, everywhere he walked there were Astral Beasts of all different kinds of strength with no pattern or logic behind it. "Wouldn't they want the weaker beasts to die first though....Well at least it helps me" He had been avoiding any strong presences he had felt while he walked so at the very least he had some breathing room for now.

Finished applying Darkness he felt one worry leave him as he stepped forward again while he heard slight movement behind him.

"Hmmm?"

Most Beasts here rarely moved so it was strange to hear anything. Turning his head he was curious as to what caused it.

"It sensed me." Watching a keltal a little bit away from him he watched as it started to look near Xilo's location as a sense of dread filled him. Freezing Xilo refused to make a sound as he hoped it wouldn't notice him as it walked forward. "Too smart." Well being an incredibly sadistic creature they were also pretty smart and that worried him. If it caught the scent or the presence of something that shouldn't be here then it might focus on that. "I knew it." Watching it walk forward towards him, Xilo tried to slowly inch backwards but he couldn't go far. From what he could sense around him he'd eventually run into a beast after a couple more steps.

"I need to leave now." If he started a fight with one of the beasts here he wasn't positive the other ones would continue to ignore him and getting surrounded by such a huge amount of Beasts didn't sound like fun to him, only death. Moving whenever the Keltal moved he made sure to keep his distance as walked backwards using his Astral Energy to guide himself while he slowly lost sight of the Keltal. "Good." Out of it's reach he exhaled finally as went back to moving forward. "I have to be careful next time, It seems this isn't as perfect as I thought it'd be." With some disappointment he made sure everything was okay while he made sure to be extra careful this time.

"I've only got an hour or so until it happens again." Keeping track of time he made sure he did it early for the next couple intervals as he explored the place further. Walking for hours he felt his eyes go slightly numb at the endless sight of Beasts while his stomach turned at the sheer strength that glutton of an Astral Beast might end up at if it consumes everything here. "Where the hell is it." He knew this place was big but he didn't think it'd be this big however at least the Beasts seemed to be more attracted to whatever was in the center then before so at least something was changing. "Hell, It seems to be affecting even me..." Feeling a strange urge of impatience to move forward in the back of his head he tried to ignore it.

"Need to keep moving.." Finally though after thirty minutes had passed again Xilo noticed something in the distance begin to change. "Is that a light?" Looking at the the pale blue light that started to shine brighter as the world became darker with night he rubbed his eyes thinking he was seeing things but it was still there afterwards. "At least it's something." Thinking that he was about to make his way forward as a sound echoed out beneath his foot while he felt his Astral Darkness begin to scatter.

"Fuck, How?"

Panicking he knew it was still too early for this to happen as he quickly made more to hide himself from the world again but it was too late. Multiple beasts around him had already noticed that something was wrong and began looking around to find the abnormality. "What just happened and why?" Not understanding why he lost his protection questions flew through his mind but what mattered the most now was making sure nothing actually attacked him.

"What do I do now?"

Enjoy.
