Growing Weakness

Holding the man Xilo had dropped off, Relda walked back inside as she closed the gate. "He needs a bath." She could already feel the dirt rubbing off on her clothing. Ignoring the instinct to clean herself she walked past Mason who was hanging around here. Giving him a casual greeting she walked to the tents where they held everyone. She was still a little confused about why Mason had lied to them; however she didn't have time to confront him about it. Right now, all of Soaring Blades was spread thin dealing with this sickness. Starting any extra trouble right now wouldn't be good for others in the long run.

"I'll deal with him later."

Watching him stare outside the gates she left him behind as she arrived at the tents. Putting the man down on a blanket she laid him next to the rest of the people in there. Dusting herself off she cleaned up the man as well just in case he had any open wounds. Once that was done she felt a wave of exhaustion wash over her. "Still things to do." Shakily standing up, she went around the tent checking on everyone there. After that she left the tent as she continued her long night of work.

Opening the door to their room Xilo let Relia in first before following behind. Feeling something ram against his body he looked down to see a red haired girl practically knocking him over. Catching himself he gave her a hug as he looked to see Tearia still hard at work before noticing them. Unlike before she would need to work a lot longer for a much bigger amount of the cure. Which most likely left Xelfia bored out of her mind since she couldn't disturb her. His hand travelled through her hair as it reached his back before he pushed her away. Holding her at arms length he watched as she tried to squirm forward still.

"How was your day?"

"Boringgggg, nothing happened. Tearia also wouldn't talk to me."

"Didn't feel anyone snooping around?"

"Nope. just a normal average day."

With that he stopped holding her back as she flew back into his arms. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Xilo inched his way to the bed as sat down with a grown woman still sticking to him like a child. "This is new."Once he sat down he saw Relia sit on the opposite bed as she laid down. She had been moving all day so she was probably tired. "Tearia...." His eyes drifted towards Tearia who had stopped working once they entered. Relia quietly grabbed Kirel and put her in her lap while she listened with her eyes closed trying to calm down.

"Want to take a break and sleep with us?"

"Sure, I can only take a small break though."

"That's fine, you need all the rest you can get."

Forcing a smile she watched as they pushed the beds back together again and laid down next to Xilo. "He's right." She really wanted to continue working if she had the energy, sadly she didn't. Letting the darkness creep in and drown out the light they all went to sleep. Feeling so many bodies shuffling around him Xilo felt his eyes close. Like always Xelfia and Tearia were by his side while Relia stayed by the edges with Kirel. After they all fell asleep Tearia listened to the sounds of their breathing for a bit until she eventually untangled herself and got to work.

In the middle of the night Mason met up with a group of people as they talked privately.

"So?"

"We found them."

"Good..."

With time passing eventually morning came along with another round of exploring for Xilo and Relia. After finishing up their morning routine the two of them headed out to the Soaring Blades Clan again. "Maybe he can talk a bit." With the sun rising further into the sky the two of them arrived to see Relia waiting for them. "Did she even sleep?" She looked incredibly tired but Xilo didn't feel like prying. Once she saw the two of them she perked up.

"Welcome back you two, sleep well?"

"Yeah, before we start again today though, mind if we talk to that man we dropped off yesterday? If he's in decent condition of course."

"His injuries have been treated and we've somewhat stabilized him, usually I wouldn't allow it but you brought him back here. You can talk with him but not for long, that good with you two?"

"That's fine."

"Alright follow me."

Guiding the two of them she opened the gate as she went towards the tent she left him in. Opening the door she made sure everything was okay before telling the two of them to be careful. Walking inside the tent Xilo looked around the place as he grimaced slightly. "They aren't handling this as well as I hoped." Trying to ignore his growing worry he spotted the man he saw yesterday. He was a lot cleaner today and some of his injuries had healed. Going up beside him Xilo sat down next to him as Relia followed.

"Hello, how are you today?"

hearing a voice speak to him suddenly the man turned his dizzy head as he looked at the silver haired boy beside him along with the blue haired girl.

"Who..?"

"We were the ones who found you yesterday and helped you out, don't remember?"

Hearing that a couple memories flashed inside his head.

"No, no I do, sorry I'm a little..."

"it's okay, I just came to here to ask you some stuff, if that's okay with you?"

"Yeah, it's fine."

"Alright then let's start with the big one. Why were you being attacked yesterday? We found you in an alleyway severely injured and sick before being attacked. They were definitely after you so can't really hide it."

Wincing the man tried to remember.

"That's a bit of a complicated question...however it's because I ran away from home."

Enjoy.
