Fighting Back

They must have planned this out beforehand with four people on each side of her closing in. With only 16 in total it was possible for Yanyan to do something against these people. If she really wanted too she could even just defeat one specifically then consume their body for energy. "No." Darkness leaked around her body as a spark of fire lit up on both of her palms. Elements weren't something that she had to concern herself with except when it came to very rare ones. She had devoured enough Astral Beasts in her life to give her every single common element. In return though she only had a small charge of each until they had to be refilled with other means.

Surrounding herself in flames she made some space around her as her attackers threw up a barrier that required one to hold. Spreading the flame she burned the grass underneath their feet as it went straight for every single person. Her raging flames were easily doused by one person who used Water. Snapping her fingers she used his element to her advantage as everything turned to ice around her. Sliding across her ice she went for the closest person as vines coiled around her hand into a fist. Growing spikes out of each side she punched the man's shield in front of her and smashed into pieces. Throwing him back she jumped out of the next attack coming her away.

"If there wasn't ice stopping him."

A blade came swinging right at her next that she ducked under, losing some of her hair in the process. Knocking his sword aside she kicked him away as fire melted the ground beneath her again. With some of Xilo's memories she could use the ice to her advantage somewhat only. If she wasn't extra careful she would be fumbling around like the people that were attacking her. Blazing fire balls were sent her way along with arrows that were right behind them. Hearing them soar through the air Yanyan didn't turn around as a wall of earth erupted from the ground behind her acting as a shield.

"It won't hold."

The fire quickly melted the wall causing it to burst into pieces and hit Yanyan's back. An arrow that came late dug straight into her back. "Ah." Groaning in pain, Yanyan didn't have enough time to pull it out. Feeling blood drip down her back, Yanyan got out of the way before anything else hit her. Two of the men who attacked her swooped into position to intercept her. Grabbing at both of her arms they tried to pin in her place. One of them managed to grab onto her forcing her to rip him off. "Letme go!" One of them had missed thankfully or she would already be dead at this rate. Her reactions were far too slow for her to win this fight.

"If this goes on...They'll kill me."

They had already chased her so far for reasons that she didn't understand. Now that they had her trapped they would do anything to finish her off. A monster wasn't allowed to roam free from these people. "They are Hunters." That word wasn't something that she understood but that was what she had overheard them calling themselves. A tentacle grew from her up and sharpened itself before plunging its way into the man's arm that had grabbed her. Blood splattered around her reaching her face as he screamed in pain. Despite that he still kept a death grip on her refusing to let go.

The blood dripped down her face reaching her lips. Trying to spit it out, Yanyan didn't want any part of their blood near her. She could already feel that feeling inside of her awakening. The urge and instinct to rip them all apart, devour them and become an animal. "Screw that!!" Slashing the tentacle in the man's arm she cut it clean off as she pulled away from everyone before they got any closer. Grabbing the man's arm that was still hanging from her she tossed it aside, not giving it another look. "That's not enough." Just crippling one of them wouldn't save her, she needed to do even more.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

A shout came deep from her throat as more Astral beast parts sprang forth from her body. Morphing her form she grew a set of wings and an extra set of arms. With her current energy this was all she had left. She could feel her vision blurring as sweat trickled down her face. Invisible energy began to constrict her and lower her power. "A bunch of weaklings." They were all so weak when it came to Astral Strength yet they were going even against her. "How, why!?!" Spreading her distorted broken wings she sent the few feathers that were on them forwards. Fire and Wind sparked to life in her hands as she smashed them together creating a tornado made of fire.

*Wwwwhhhhhsshh*

Using the natural wind around the area it got bigger as it moved along with the flames. She ignored the heat as she saw all her feathers hit her targets. "Yes!" Excitement that she was actually doing damage filled her mind as her tornado hit them next. Counting every single one there was all of them stuck in her trap. "Maybe I can do this?" That thought fueled her low energy as her tornado tore into them sending them all flying even knocking a few of them out. While that was happening, the one that was holding the barrier noticed something. Moving away from his duties he crept closer to their goal before everyone died to this demon.

Yanyan's back was wide open as she faced all of her attackers. She didn't think for a moment that she could be attacked by anyone else. The barrier was right behind her, almost acting as a wall that kept her back safe. Combined with her thoughts of victory she failed to notice the presence right behind her. It wasn't until she felt steel go through her stomach that she registered someone behind in her mind. Blood fell out as she felt herself get kicked to the ground. Eating dirt her blood spilled and stained the ground as all the Hunters recovered from their injuries with the tornado gone.

"I...got careless."

Standing back up she ignored the hole in her stomach as she noticed the arm she tore off a little ways away.

"...."

Enjoy.
