Bashing Heads

Rubbing Kirel's head Relia sat next to Xelfia as she endured the pain. "It still hasn't gone away." She thought for sure it would have faded by now but her body was quite cruel. She did her best to resist it by focusing on Xilo to help distract her. "I should have rested." Each person got their reward as time went on with the Queen finally wrapping that up. With one last round of applause the crowd quieted down as the Queen talked about the next few events that would be happening over the next few days. This was the part most people were excited for, it was a chance for each of them to try and show off once a year. A series of different competitions that went through various talents like Crafting skills, new inventions, medicine and of course the obvious one of strength. There was something for everyone regardless of profession or talent and that's what made everyone excited.

"Like every year a series of contests and other events will be held for the next couple days for everyone to enjoy. Regardless of status or race you can enter. That'll be all leading up to the big event in three days that I have personally planned and ask everyone here to come and see. I've put a lot of effort into planning it and really hope you all love it just as much as me."

With a wink the lights went dim as the Queen ended her speech. That was just the opening of the big festival planned. Everyone began to exit the stage as Xilo held the box he was given in his hand while the Queen's words repeated in his mind. "What was that all about?" Walking down a step of steps Xilo felt his body bump into someone. Focusing, he saw a small group of people with a Wolf symbol on their jackets sneering at him. "Looks like I couldn't avoid them forever." These people definitely didn't stop there just to say a few words of congratulations. They were looking to start something and this was the perfect chance. Especially the one person he recognized in that group

"Look at who we stumbled across today boys. An old friend. It's been a couple months since we last saw each other. Isn't that right, Laven?"

"Yeah, it's nice to finally see you again. Demon."

In a low voice he whispered that last word out.

One of the men in the group looked at the black haired man that was chosen to come here. Xilo recognized those sharp eyes, especially the one that looked slightly different. "This guy was back from the Astral Zone with Felli and Tearia." His most recognizable feature was his eye that was a burning red unlike his left eye that was a mellow blue. With a sharp black jacket over a silver shirt and some blue plants he looked very casual and might have seemed like a nice guy from first glance. "That glare though." Xilo could practically see his anger as they locked eyes together. The man called Laven looked like he wanted to tear him apart any second, Xilo was positive the amount of the people was the only thing holding him back.

"We're drawing a crowd."

"I know…but."

Within seconds people had noticed the tension as another few groups showed themselves. Belturn's group walked forward as they studied the situation before they noticed the purple haired girl. "Isn't that?" Taking a closer look they entered the circle as they saw the girl who had destroyed their competition and sent Belturns leader into a mad rage after escaping. There was even the silver haired boy next to him that they talked about. "The other girl isn't here though." Hazel rubbed her chin as she said hello to the woman she had tried to murder along with her student next to her.

"If it isn't the winner of Belturns little competition, Tearia herself, Oh you also have your boyfriend here too this time."

"Hazel."

"I'm glad you remember me too, I'll be sure to destroy your other arm this time around, maybe even your legs to stop you from running anymore."

Snarling Hazel was pissed off seeing Tearia standing up to her once more..

Hearing that annoying voice Tearia stopped trying to be quiet as she turned to Hazel. Many emotions filled her body but anger managed to bubble to the surface as she recalled the memories from then. This woman was the reason her family was forced to move out of the town and most importantly she was the reason her arm was now completely crippled. Feeling Tearia freak out Xilo grabbed her arm to stop her from doing anything stupid. It was already too late though everyone had noticed them and especially their enemies. A few more groups walked up into the circle as they looked at Xilo and Tearia laughing. Telan watched from slightly behind them as his expression got more and more stern. "Looks like they have more problems than I thought." A sub branch of Dracal even walked up to them and joined in the little scuffle.

"It's a pleasant surprise to see you all again as well. I'm surprised you're all still holding grudges."

Tension raised into the air that could easily explode in any second. Xilo and Tearia were easily outnumbered at the moment as five different groups of people blocked their path. "I don't remember pissing this many people off." Xilo knew he had caused quite a bit of trouble since gaining Astral Energy but this was surprising. Being faced with all of his enemies at once was a big eye opener of the damage he had caused. "They're all so strong as well." The power coming off their bodies was easily enough to destroy a couple of him. Gripping Tearia's hand he felt a few presences walk through the crowd and join him.

"The high and mighty despise being shown up by the "weak" Xilo, you should know that. All that strength comes with a small fragile ego."

Sass that could freeze the whole room filled Xelfia's voice as she leaned on Xilo's shoulder with a proud smile. They may all look scary but that's all it amounted to. If any of them actually had the guts to do anything they would have and since they already hated their group she might as well go all out. Xilo's enemies were hers as well and taking human's down a few pegs always felt good. Just like some wild animals she had met in life they puffed themselves up to look big and they would also burst at the smallest hint of danger. "A random pile of garbage coming together." Water flowed along her arm as her skin slightly changed to a more harder texture as her scales began to show themselves.

"You're girlfriend's right Xilo and I was just itching to destroy some ego's myself. It's been a while you damn wolves. I hope you haven't forgotten about me either or what you did to those poor people. I won't let you off for that, especially you Laven."

Hearing Xelfia's voice Xilo felt a little more reassured but once he heard another voice join his side he was shocked. Zilan had also shown up, that fiery red hair was the last thing he had expected to see here. It wasn't quite over yet, an older man with a couple of kids also showed up that Xilo recognized. "...Keltal?" Waving his hand at Xilo he didn't say any fancy words or other things. Just his presence and current stance was more than enough to show where he stood. They might have been still outnumbered by them but Xilo was far from being alone in all of this. He had people beside him that would give him a hand when he needed it.

"I'm...not alone."

Raising his head he looked at their group head on as the crowd around them grew even bigger, gaining even the Queen's attention.

Enjoy.
