Another Use

The old man's voice persisted in his ear as he trailed behind the two girls. Trying to keep enough distance while following them was tough for Zelfin. "What if they spot me?" Stealth was never his type of skill, he much prefered to be loud and up front. "Then fight and kill the tall one. I don't really care, just not the demon." Another human life being lost was hardly a big deal. It could spell some trouble though if she was strong enough to put up a fight. "Something to keep in mind then." Zelfin just had to hope he didn't get caught, once the woman left then he could swoop in and take the girl.

"A rare demon, That'll probably fetch a good price if we sell it to the right person."

"Don't go selling her right away, we want to harvest some blood from her. if we give you some it should help you get a lot stronger."

"Wouldn't that make me a demon though?"

"No, it won't be enough for a mutation or any of those kinds of things. Just enough to give you a little extra boost, besides, do you really care that much about being a demon?"

Zelfin paused his steps as he thought about that question.

"Yes, I do. I'll do anything it takes to beat Xilo except become a monster. I will not fall that low."

"Pft, so that's the line eh? Can't say I don't completely get it. Well like I said you don't have to worry."

If Zelfin couldn't beat Xilo as a human himself then what was the point of fighting him. Even if it put him at a disadvantage he didn't care. There were some things that he wouldn't change no matter what. Levia walked with Yanyan in her hand as she noticed something behind her. "Well, Should I say I'm surprised?" Doing her best to not let the man chasing them notice her, Levia changed their direction. It was best if she handled him in an area with a small amount of people out of the public eye. "What's he after?" She didn't know however that didn't matter, if he wanted to present the perfect chance to get himself killed then she would take it.

"Come this way Yanyan."

With a smile she led her around a corner looking for a place that was empty. After a bit of walking Levia managed to find an empty lot behind a couple of buildings. "This'll do." From what she could tell not many people were here so it was perfect. Apparently Zelfin also thought so as well as he took a step forward to try and block off their path of escape. Shattering time for a second he sped himself up and appeared in front of Levia. He wanted to see her shocked face up close however she looked at him calmly. "She knows!" Before he could even say a word Levia took out a weapon and swung it right at his face.

"Damn bitch, Going right for the face the second you see me. How did you know that I was here?"

"You weren't even trying to hide yourself. What are you after by following us."

Zelfin managed to back up just enough to dodge Levia's knife while scowling. He didn't expect her to know she was being followed this whole time. "She led me here on purpose." Zelfin knew he had walked right into her trap, could she actually fight him was his real worry. Maybe if she wasn't alone she could fight back however if it was just her and she had to protect someone it would be easy. Taking out his sword the time around him froze for a second as he ducked under her knife. "Still can't use my time right." He had recovered a lot since his fight with Xilo, just not enough yet. He would have to limit his manipulation of time to the very bare minimum or else it could make his injuries worse again.

"Ah!"

Watching a fight break out before her, Yanyan let out a small scream as she tried to push Levia out of the way. Feeling her body fly to the side Levia looked at where she was just standing in horror. "If Yanyan didn't push me." She would have been dead without ever knowing what killed her. "What just happened?" It felt like she blinked and Zelfin had gotten close to her without her knowing. Taking a breath she calmed herself as lightning crackled around her hand. "I can't let that happen again." Thunder echoed around the area as Bolts travelled straight for Zelfin. Her speciality was in lightning and the use of it outside of her body.

"She dodged that?"

Zelfin looked towards Yanyan who had backed away.

"No, she saw you moving and saved the woman. She's quite an impressive young one."

"I don't think I can do that again, looks like this'll be the hard way then."

Jumping out of the way of Levia's bolts Zelfin spun his sword around in his hand before stabbing the ground. Using it to boost his body he flung himself straight at Levia. "Another lightning user." He remembered a girl that was with Xilo who had used it as well, although it was different. While she had used it for mostly close quarters it seemed like Levia was the opposite. That just meant if he got up close to Levia then she would practically be defenseless. "Close the gap and strike hard Zelfin!" Like an arrow he pierced through the air and barreled straight into Levia without hesitation.

"Got you."

Latching onto Levia's arms he travelled with her as she went straight into the wall with him. Rubble crashed around them as Levia felt herself inhaling all different kinds of dirt. "Bleh." Zelfin's grip was on her tight as she tried to wriggle her way out of it. "Who attacks like that!?!?" She hadn't expected him to just drop his weapon and charge her without a care in the world. Most people would value their life a little bit more, if he made one little mistake he would died without a second thought.

Enjoy.
