Alone Time With Blades

Feeling her strings snap, Seli quickly panicked as Xilo ran straight at her. "He broke free!?" Unsure what to do she froze up as she felt her body get tackled by a wild beast chomping at the chance to eat. Her brain went into a complete shutdown for a split second. In that moment she let her body move on it's own to defend itself as a blade extended from her hand. Pushing out her hands she closed her eyes as her blade tore through Xilo's skin and flesh. Stabbing him, she didn't feel any impact or pain as she opened her eyes. Darkness swirled around them as terror dawned on the both of them.

*Ack*

Coughing up dry air, Xilo grabbed at the blade in his stomach as he traced it's path. There was no sword in her hand nor was she controlling it with Astral Energy. Through the madness he stared at Seli as he broke free from his bindings and took the sight in. A girl with a sword completely extended from her body that was similar to his. ".....Another..one?" Processing that in his mind he almost refused to accept it. He had even seen it before but a part of him refused to believe it. Now hard proof was staring him down and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't look away.

"Seli....what are you?"

With that Seli's final piece of hope shattered into thousands of pieces as it was carried away with Xilo's voice. Hearing him speak, her body convulsed as she saw him going back to normal. Words tried to leave her mouth however no sound came out. She was left alone in a vortex of anxiety and doubt. Normally she wouldn't have cared if Xilo ever found out but Xilo's hate for himself made her second guess herself. Over these past few days all of them had gotten to know each other well as well as finding out Xilo's past with this power and how much he loathed it. She was positive if he had the choice he would remove it in a heartbeat regardless of the strength it gave.

"!..-I..I..I..I-I-I.."

With only that to say she saw hatred beginning to form in Xilo's eyes as her fear's came to life. Just like him, she had the same power given to her however besides a few mishaps here and there she was never abandoned by the people around her. "Thanks to my friend." She had managed to go through life learning and controlling her power. She was able to play it off as just an Astral Ability that transformed her. She had heard plenty of stories about how it could go wrong from her friend but she had never experienced it herself until the day she met Xilo. Watching all those people run away from him had made her feel sick and scared. She may have played it off at the time but she was terrified.

Which was why after hearing Xilo's story she tried to lead him down the path of controlling it and even teaching him. She didn't want him to be afraid of it anymore or hate it but here she was standing before him as his worst enemy. The thing he hated the most in life was now standing in front of him with a blade piercing him. "Don't hate me...." Pulling out her blade she quickly tried to run away before Xilo did anything else. She wasn't thinking straight in the slightest. All that sexiness and delicacy had crumbled under the weight and pressure she was feeling. Backing up against a wall she found herself stuck as she tried to inch her way to the door. Sadly though Xilo spoke again as her body froze.

"Why..are you running, Just like all the others..."

"I'm not!!!!!!!"

Shouting that she took a deep breath as she moved her body forward. She might have been afraid of Xilo hating her but she was more afraid of the punishment she would receive from her friend if she ever knew she had run away. "I mustn't run." Walking up to Xilo who was holding his wound while kneeling she crouched down and grabbed his body. She still didn't know what to say though she settled for just holding him. Rubbing his hair, Tears started to spill from her eyes as she cried. She had once more found someone like her. She didn't know exactly how many of them existed but she was determined to find them all. Just like what was done for her she would do the same for others.

"I'm sorry.."

"Seli?"

"I'm sorry."

Even when Xilo stopped saying anything she kept repeating that out loud as time passed. For a whole hour the two of them sat together as Xilo slowly recovered. Eventually Seli stopped mumbling and just stayed quiet as well. Standing outside of the training area Xelfia leaned against the wall as she patiently sat there. Seeing Relia and Tearia show up she quietly put her hand out to stop the two of them. She had been here the whole time standing guard, leaving the two of them alone to finish their business. Right now they needed their time together and she planned on giving them that.

"You're going to have to wait to go in there, you two, Xilo and Seli are a little busy right now."

"What happened?"

"...Nn?"

"Nothing bad, they just need some time. I'm sure you girls don't mind."

Gently smiling at the two of them, the girls felt a little taken aback by this side of Xelfia. It wasn't something they had seen before now so while they had questions they listened. Coming up on either side of her they joined her in waiting. Wrapping her arms around Tearia and Relia she brought them in for a tight hug as they all waited. With Seli finally calming down and his own wound healing, Xilo tried to talk again. Taking it one step at a time he asked her again.

"Seli...?"

"Xilo...?"

"What are you...?"

"That's...as you can see, I'm just like you. Another monster that was unfortunately born with this power. Hate me now?"

Making fun of herself she strained to smile and sound positive while she said that

Enjoy.
