All Different Thoughts and Ideas

Coughing Xelfia slowly moved her body after being knocked aside. "It hurts." Pain was travelling all throughout her body as she got weaker. Holding her stomach where she got hit she felt the most pain there as if her body was on fire itself. "That asshole." Complaining she struggled to sit up and compose herself so she could gather her strength but the pain was almost too much to bear so instead she chose to keep lying down.

*Ahem*

Clearing her throat blood spilled out as well but now it was easier to breathe again taking this chance to look around her eyes darted to Tearia to make sure she was alright. Thankfully beside a look of anxiety she seemed okay for now. "That's good, Hopefully it stays that way." Then she did her best to look at Xilo's fight. Xilo was fighting with two ice spears that had randomly appeared but she knew one of them had saved her but even with his weapon he was still at a disadvantage due to the fire that blazed on their attacker's sword.

"Useless again..."

A sad moan escaped her lips as her thoughts went back to the endless loop of her dreams. "Stronger then Xilo? How stupid could I be." Even though he was the weaker one of the two he was still there fighting just as hard as before but here she was lying on the ground drowning in her sorrows. "I'm sure he's hurting more then me..." Knowing how many times he had gotten hit by that sword compared to her he probably felt like his entire body was burning alive but no matter how much she thought about it she just couldn't move. "think of what you can do to help instead." Repeating that in her mind she started to calm down a little as she evaluated all the energy in her body and for the very first time in forever she started to think of ways to help instead of just brute forcing her way past her obstacles.

"That approach failed before, so then what can I do now. Another water attack to help with his disadvantage? No, that was too weak. What about sneaking plants underground to catch him off guard. No, he has the earth element and he would just feel the vibrations under the ground while Xilo wouldn't even know or see what I'm planning instead." This was a lot harder then she thought it would be but right now It was the only thing she could do while Xilo fighted.

"What if I do...No that doesn't work. Oh! maybe that could work. Hmmmm."

Finally an idea that could potentially work surfaced in her mind. "But I only have one chance...If I can even get it to work." She had never tried it before but there was nothing else she could do.

*Crack*

With that sound Xilo watched on as one of his Ice spears cracked under the pressure of their current clash. Seeing his weapon break he ducked to the side to dodge the blow coming for him as he went under it and slashed his attacker's stomach. Hitting he was able to leave another scratch. "Another one yet they seem to make no difference." No matter how many times he landed an attack the man in front of him never seemed affected and it was incredibly frustrating to witness especially when all the attacks he received left him in incredible pain. But Xilo was starting to notice something the more the fight went on. "Does he not want to kill me?" Each attack was incredibly painful, yes but none of them were fatal. He had assumed at first that it was just to test and weaken him but now he was starting to think otherwise.

"Feeling tired yet kid? You know you're a lot tougher then you look and you don't smell like an Astral Beast so what is it then, Body Fortification?"

His eyes sparkled thinking of the possibility that Xilo had a good quality Body Fortification method on him. People had Killed thousands upon thousands countless times before in the past and present just to get their hands on one so if he could get his hands on a method so easily after his job was done he would be ecstatic and maybe even finally get stronger again. It had been so long since the last time he had felt himself grow stronger. With all the bounties he was asked to do and his love of money as well as the thrill of battle it stopped him from saying no and training but after this job he would be getting an astronomical amount of money so he could take a break and train for a little bit.

"Heh, Maybe you're just weaker than you thought."

Xilo sneered at the man in front of him as he blocked another blow.

"Weaker then you? You've got a big mouth for looking so pathetic you know that kid?"

"I've fought this long, I'm sure you're getting tired yourself old man."

Annoyed that someone weaker than him was acting superior, the man started to have even more fun as idea's started to pop in his head. Looking around after clashing again he spotted Xelfia a little further away still on the ground and grinned viciously. He knew she was still alive and conscious so this was perfect. Taking a dagger out of his jacket he grabbed it and waved it in front of Xilo's face.

"See this. What could I possibly do with this you think?"

Doubt flashed past Xilo's eyes thinking he was going to throw that at him but the next second he was proved dreadfully wrong. The man waved it in Xelfia's direction almost as if taunting Xilo. Panic entered his body as fear took over him for a second stopping him in place as he watched the dagger fly out of his hand towards her. The Worst thoughts entered his head as he quickly grabbed his ice spear and threw it in the direction of the dagger.

*Tink*

The sound of them colliding and stopping echoed throughout the air as Xilo breathed a sigh of relief. It had just occurred to him now that he was fighting this alone and had two people to protect at the moment. "At least I hit it." However he couldn't have known the man before him purposely held back or Xilo wouldn't have been able to stop it in the slightest.

"Oh, Good reactions kid. But it's too bad you can't do such a thing again."

With that he took out a second dagger and waved it in front of the weaponless Xilo. More Dread and panic travelled through Xilo's body as he stared at that second Silver dagger that shined with an ominous light in his eyes but this dagger wasn't aimed at Xelfia this time instead it was aimed at Tearia well a sadistic light travelled through his attacker's eyes unnoticed by Xilo. Refusing to let another dagger be thrown, Xilo recklessly threw himself at the man in front of him in hopes of keeping his attention on him. Trying to knock the dagger out of his hand he watched as the man nimbly dodged him time after time.

"Oops. I might have made you angry. That's no good you need to be calm in these situations kid. Though It's a lot more fun for me when you're like this."

Laughing he dodged another punch and finally gained enough room to throw the dagger without interference. Aiming the dagger at Tearia's path he let it fly with most of his strength. Xilo watched as he barely missed the chance to stop the dagger. Time seemed to slow down as he watched the dagger fly towards Tearia as he kept picturing her death. "NO!" Tearia was slowly becoming a good friend of his and the first person to talk to him other than Xelfia so he didn't want to see her hurt or dead especially. He felt his world going dark slightly at the thought of her dead in his arms after he failed to protect her. She was definitely a handful to handle but that didn't mean he hated her either.

"Failure."

A woman's voice echoed in his mind and soul while trying to find a way to stop it. He still had his dagger with him but he needed that if he wanted to win especially now that he knew the man wasn't going to kill him. "Then the only thing left I can do is... Running as fast as he could he ignored the man behind him and any attacks as he attempted to catch up with the dagger in the air. But at this rate he wasn't going to make it. "What could I do.." Thoughts ran through his head as he thought of an idea. Gathering as much Elemental Energy as he could in his body he gathered it all up while running. After getting enough of it as he needed and pushing himself to the limits of exhaustion he gathered it in his palm and threw an ice field down on the ground in front of him and slid himself further.

Using the movement from the ice he was able to gain a little more speed as he was thankfully able to keep himself stable. slowly catching up with the dagger he was getting closer and closer as it traveled to Tearia. While all along the man watched on with joy and happiness all over his face. "Idiot." Eventually Xilo caught up with and did the only thing he could at the moment.

"AHHH."

He jumped in front of it as it stabbed into his chest as blood started to spill out a little as pain ran through his body. If before he felt like his body was being burned alive by the pain then now he was actually burning as he finally figured out the source of the incredible pain he was feeling. The man had added small amounts of his Fire Energy to each attack that would subtly burn wherever he hit that lasted for a long time amplifying the pain he felt constantly. But now he was feeling it full course as he coughed well holding the Dagger in his chest.

"Xilo!"

He heard a voice behind him but he didn't have the capacity to care at the moment. Right now he was just struggling to stand but he was happy Tearia was safe behind him. "I actually Made it this time.." Relief flooded his body as the thought of making it in time washed over him but he knew the fight still wasn't over. Staring at the man in front of him waiting for another attack Xilo waited until.

"HAHAHAhAHAHAHA."

The man Attacking him had curled up and exploded in crazy laughter in front of him without doing anything. But Xilo had no idea why.

"Wh-y are you laughing?"

Struggling to get that out he questioned the man but he still kept on laughing until eventually after a minute he finally calmed down enough to speak.

"Sorry, sorry I'm just laughing at your stupidity is all. I couldn't help myself."

With that he began to laugh once again as he looked at Xilo's confused face and enjoyed it fully.

"Stupidity?"

Seeing him appear so confused at this point the man was starting to feel genuinely bad for the kid.

"Ahh..Sometimes ignore is bliss you know that?"

"What do you mean."

Using this time to stall so he could heal as much as possible well he could Xilo tried to keep him talking even though he was incredibly confused at the moment as Tearia flashed a pensive and worried expression behind him.

Another long one. I hope it makes some happy. c:
