Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

A World Without Colour

As Tearia slowly approached her opponent multiple people around the audience were paying close attention to each and every move that happened. Staring at the stage she watched as the purple haired girl approached one of the clan members she had helped train over the course of the past couple months as more rage silently built up inside her while the people sitting beside her weren't helping either.

*snap*

Breaking one of the pencils she was holding to keep track of scores she tried to calm down a little bit.

"So that's the girl who my scouts mentioned, Bitch."

Sitting with the Other Officials she mumbled that under her breath as she remembered back to a couple days ago when her scouts reported to her about finding someone who matched who they were looking for but soon lost sight of her quickly after. Ever since she had sent more people then before to scour the city looking for her but she hadn't found her since. However now she was right before her eyes defeating one of the people she had selected to participate in this competition with ease while looking down on him and to make things worse she could hear the sounds of laughter from the other two Clan Leaders that were currently here.

"Hey Hazel isn't that one of your own?"

"It sure is can't you see the symbol on his uniform."

With both snickering beside her she was seriously tempted to erupt in rage and just kill the bitch down there but she knew better then to do anything at the moment. Doing such a thing would most likely get her entire clan disqualified and set a bad image from the general populace and that wasn't something she wanted for some petty revenge. But knowing that and feeling like this were two separate things as she sat there having to endure the taunts of her competition belittling her with nothing she could do about it.

"She seems pretty new as well. Are all you're people that weak or is it just him."

"Come now that's being generous."

"Shut up!"

Finally no longer able to put up with it an ice cold voice leaked out of her mouth as some frost started to fill the air around them.

"You think we made her mad?"

"Maybe."

"Don't you two have anything better to do besides trying to gang up on me, like paying attention to your own members or are you here to just make fun of me?"

Turning to the man and women beside her she tried to distract them from one of her loses to keep them from talking anymore and hopefully allow herself to calm down. "Well that seemed to work." Drowning out the nonsense they were speaking after asking that she slowly calmed down as she threw in blank words here and there to keep them talking while barely paying attention.

"Just you wait."

As Eli watched Tearia's fight he felt so many emotions flowing through him he almost didn't know what to do with himself at the moment. "It's almost like I'm young again." Smiling to himself he silently cheered her on as he paid full attention forgetting everything else around him until he felt his wife hand on his arm. Slightly startled he looked in her direction to see she didn't seem to be smiling as much as him. In fact she didn't look too happy from what he could tell.

"Eli."

"What is it?"

"Will Tearia really be okay?"

It took him a second to understand what she meant but as he watched the fight coming to an end he finally understood.

"If Tearia loses at any point I'm sure she can handle it besides she learned to withstand my training so I'm sure she will be fine and if she really can't handle it we'll deal with it when it comes to that. For now let's just watch over her and hope for the best. In these kinds of moments you have to remember to be cheerful. That is what you taught me, no?"

"I know it's just...I can't help worrying that something bad will happen even if it's silly or pointless."

Sighing, he grabbed his wife and pulled her in close, slightly rubbing her hair.

"We both knew from the beginning this could happen. So all we can do is watch it play out. Trust Tearia a little bit more okay? Just like I do."

"I'll try...."

Turning back to Tearia's fight he felt a little less excited then before as he felt his wife's worry rubbing off on him a little bit but he waved it away trying to get rid of it and continued to watch."You got this." Trying to stay positive he did his best while one lone girl close to all of the Officials and Clan Leaders that had appeared today also was paying attention to Tearia's fight the most.

"Why are you here? Weren't you someone who wasn't a fighter..."

Silently watching her fight her voice slightly leaked out of her as her eyes continued to dim a little bit. She didn't know what to do anymore or how to get out of her situation and was slowly giving up. "It's pointless..but at least I could see you again." But even that couldn't put a smile on her face as she sat there blankly staring at the world and everything below her. She couldn't see any colour or any faces wherever she looked but whenever she turned back to Tearia's fight that purple hair blinded her almost as if it was calling to her but there was nothing she could do. She couldn't reach out to it no matter how hard she tried. She was trapped and alone now with no more room to run.

"Someone.....Tearia...Save me, please."

Soon a silent tear started to roll down her face without anyone noticing as she stared on at such a colourless world blankly.

This week has just been bad for me so sorry.

Enjoy
