A World Of Memories

Debris rose up in the sky after the Golden Dragon slammed the ground. Flapping her wings she sent it straight into Xelfia along with her body. The Golden dragon was done with words, It wanted to go down fighting. Grabbed Xelfia's body before she could react the Dragon kept going until they hit a wall. Forcing her against the castle wall the Golden dragon moved its jaws in an attempt to rip Xelfia in half. Left with so many questions from the Golden Dragon's story, Xelfia resisted the urge to speak. Grabbing the Giant Dragon's paw, Xelfia created vines that split out of the ground and crawled along the Dragon's body. With the help of them she ripped the claw off and tied down of the Dragon's movements.

Before the Dragon could burn away her vines Xelfia aimed right for her mouth. A swirling ball of water appeared on her little red paw before soaring through the air and right into the Dragon's open mouth. Dousing the flames Xelfia heard a grunt of pain from the dragon's throat. Moving to the side of the Dragon it was the most vulnerable part. With the Dragon's tail mostly destroyed and its arms tied down it would have a lot of trouble getting Xelfia off of her now especially if she watched the flames. "If her story is true, she's dying regardless." Grabbing at the long scar in her body Xelfia got her claws in dip as she started to tear away the flesh on her body. Scales fell off her body while blood spilled to the ground.

Stuck in this position the Golden Dragon felt death quickly approaching. "This is how I die." Without the help of the Astral Zone it would never beat the girl before her. Feeling its flesh get torn to pieces it tried to break out but it was no use. Xelfia kept its body locked down at all times. "Even if I'm going to lose, I'll fight until the end." There was one more move that she could still use that could possibly turn the fight. "My last resort." If the girl survived it, then there would be only death waiting for her. "This girl feels so familiar." The Dragon's struggling calmed down as she fell into concentration, she needed everything she had if this was going to work.

"I achieved what I set out to do..." The day she had left her husband behind in that cage had killed her inside. She had to do it though, no matter what. "We decided together." They had both wanted to have a child one day and after many years of trying they had finally succeeded. Neither one of them had wanted their kid to live the same life as them though. So she went to see Grandfather Azurin. "After annoying him enough he revealed that she could leave." Her husband wasn't so lucky though, he would have to stay behind. He was born too early to ignore the Leader's curse. Which meant she would set off to the upper world all by herself. "My Child...Where are you now?" That was thirty years ago now.

One of the last pure blooded Dragon's left in the world was somewhere out there without its real parents. "Maybe it's best they never find out." The world was cruel, especially to Dragons. She could still remember running from the hordes of people who had chased after her that day. The screams of anger, greed and silly pride. Each one had a different reason for trying to fight her but they all worked together. For months she had tried to escape from them, sustaining injuries that were impossible to heal. "I did everything to lead them away from my child." Sending them on a chase throughout the country she had eventually made it back here. Bloody and beaten this was the place she chose to die. "Stupid Astral Zone." If it wasn't for the Zone she would have already been a corpse forever ago. "I'll borrow your power, this once." With that The Golden Dragon opened its eye weakly.

Confused that the Dragon stopped struggling, Xelfia kept attacking as she heard a few words enter her ears.

"Memories...Of...Life."

A chill went straight up Xelfia's spin as a burst of energy blew past her face. It travelled all over the area and even swept past the Castle grounds. Xilo watched from afar as he saw the Castle start to repair itself. The wall where he was sitting repaired itself and the grass that was burnt had grown back. "This isn't good." Turning around, Xilo saw the tree's come back to life as well as the corpse of Astral Beasts. Everything here that was dead or destroyed was coming back to life. "What kind of power?" Brown to Green, Rumble to perfection, Corpses to life. A place once dead had been completely revived. The Golden Dragon's body recovered its bones as all the scales on its body grew back. Regaining its other eye the scars on its body healed while Xelfia's plants faded away. Its wings repaired themselves as a loud roar escaped its mouth.

"It's time to end this girl."

Raising into the air the Dragon flew high up into the sky and stared down at the ground. This was the last card it had up its sleeve. This Golden Dragon's ability was a unique one. Any memory it could find it could recreate for a period of time. "It's like a fake world." Once it stopped getting power though everything would go back to normal and the little bubble it created would vanish. "A temporary life of sorts." There were many drawbacks to its use like this but the Dragon didn't care. This was its final flame before it was put out. "I'm only a memory and that's how I'll stay." Accepting that fate it saw from the corner of its eye souls flying towards her.

"Huh?"

A Fire ball appeared in mid air that grew bigger by the second. Stretching its Golden wings it lit up the valley like they were in like the sun itself. A meteor formed in the sky that blocked out the sun. Staring up in the sky, Xelfia watched as new creatures came into view. "Are those...Dragons?" The image of Dragon's danced in the sky as hundreds of them circled around the Golden Dragon. All different colours and sizes filled the air as they blocked the sky out. If it wasn't for the Golden Dragon's light it might have been pitch dark. Surprised herself to see these souls floating around, the Golden Dragon noticed two in particular.

"Azurin....Rin.."

It was her Grandfather and Husband, two faces she didn't think she'd see again. "I guess they came to say goodbye." These as well were just memories, they couldn't do anything and would only fade away with her. "I'm coming to see you again." With another loud roar the Meteor doubled in size as she sent it flying straight at Xelfia. "Will you survive young one or crash and burn here?" Floating in the sky the Dragon felt its power weaken as some of the plants started to die again. "I want to see...your flame burn bright." The world around them started to turn normal again.

"What will you do now girl, Run or fight."

Watching that giant meteor come straight for her, Xelfia felt a panic like never before.

"What do I do!?!?!"

Something like that was impossible for her to handle nor could she run from it in time.

"I'm lost..."

Enjoy.
