A Darkness In The Air

Looking at the ice in front of his face Xilo kept walking. "How long have I even been in here.'' These few minutes had felt excruciatingly long to him with no end in sight and he was nearing his end. He could already see the holes the flames were creating and he couldn't fill them up anymore. He was simply not strong enough to do anything else except accept his fate. "Consumed in flames, Fitting." Taking shallow breaths with each step he felt his skin begin to burn.

"Fuck."

Doing his best to ignore it he continued to push forward but the flames had already opened most of his ice by now. "I suppose this is it." Trying to create any Astral Ice he could to help himself he watched as the last of his barrier was consumed in flames before they all came rushing towards him in a second. Watching his vision get dominated by the colour red he felt even more pain than before as he made one last step before everything went dark for him. "Truly a fool..." Unable to feel or see anymore he heard the sounds of the flames cracking on his skin.

".....I see so that's it for him."

"What happened?"

Looking at Zilan speak up so suddenly Marie was curious what happened but she didn't didn't receive a reply from him leaving her in the dark.

Looking at the air get filled with all types of different plants Tearia felt a pressure rain down on her. There was nowhere she could go to run away from all of that in her current state regardless if she continued trying to trap him or not. "He managed to store all that up while attacking me." Frustrated at her opponents' show of skill Tearia bit her lip as that tinge of fear grew bigger inside of her. She had thought this fight was over for him but now she had just forced herself into a tighter corner then before and she didn't know what to do. "How did I do it before?" Back in the competition she had been able to get out of similar situations but now her thought process had completely halted.

"Is it because of my arm, Xilo or something else?" Trying to find an excuse to why she felt so useless she watched as he turned more of his Astral Energy into tools to attack her while she panicked. "Ahhhh calm down for once." Shouting at herself in her mind she felt her breathing steady out as she took a deep breath. "You don't need help and you don't need excuses, you need to figure out how to avoid this situation and save yourself. I Didn't spend all that effort to die here." Biting her lip even harder she felt some blood seep down her chin as more Astral Lightning sparked to life in her. "When pushed into a corner get reckless and stupid. It's worked before right?" Laughing at herself she felt her arm turning into lightning as she dropped the barrier around her.

No matter how strong he was he couldn't do everything and from her guess his attack probably took a lot of energy to sustain. So if she attacked him now she doubted he could dodge anything without breaking his concentration causing himself to waste a lot of energy. "Force him to make a choice for once." Smirking like a devil she saw the confusion in his eyes as she dropped the little box she had created. Even Felli was surprised at her actions as she watched the fight. "Well...I was going to help her but this is more interesting." Stopping her Astral Gravity from building up to much she watched as a Tearia charged forward.

"I guess I should finish up here as well."

Looking at the man in front of her she grabbed his arm as he attacked her. "It's over." Crushing her hand she heard his bones begin to snap as she added gravity into her palm to help her out. Watching him struggle with each second as his bones began to break she made sure he couldn't wiggle out of her grasp as she punched his gut with her other hand. "No more playing around." Looking at the fear that had entered him she smiled enjoying the sight as she felt the air leave his lungs while a loud thud entered her ears. "Hmmm?" Letting his body fall to the ground she no longer cared about him dead or alive as she looked at where the sound came from.

"What the..."

Looking at the wall of flames she looked at the body that fell to the floor face first with burn marks all over his body and nearly half their clothes burned off. "Xilo?" Registering the familiar silver hair that managed to stay in one piece confusion filled her mind. "Why is he here and why does he seem to have more red hair then before?" Confused at the change she ignored Tearia as she walked up to his body with slight worry. "Is he alive...?" Looking at all the burn marks that covered his body she crouched down and touched his skin. "Still breathing." However it was incredibly shallow and there wasn't much life left in him.

Unfortunately before she could do anything else about it she felt the air around her change as a deep darkness spread into the air and tried to invade her body. "What's happening....." Looking for the source of it she looked down at Xilo. "Is it coming from him?" Filled with so many questions she felt the air grow heavier as Xilo's hand began to move and slowly grasp at her body.

"Xilo!"

Looking at Xilo seemingly still awake she tried to grab his attention while she looked over his body for more signs of that dark feeling but she found none. Retracting her hand she sighed as she watched Xilo's arm move one more time as it finally grasped her leg but in the next second shock ran through her as a sword pierced through his arm towards her.

Enjoy.
