A Ball Of Death

The giant projection swapped to the ball of energy flying through the sky forcing all of the citizens to watch the biggest fireworks show they had ever seen. Soaring through the air it crossed the country at an insane pace that no would be able to normally keep up with. Shock waves constantly pulsed out of its body destroying some towns and landmarks as it flew towards its target Tidal. It was a country next to Ukel that was currently at odds with Cestrin, a primarily Beast country. It aimed straight for the largest Astral Zone in Tidal at one of it's cities near the centre. Pulses of energy were sent around the world as people all over looked towards the energy source.

The city it was headed for was currently peaceful as everyone went about their day like normal. With about a million or so in population there were quite a lot of people in the City. The Astral Zone there was created like a giant cave system that stretched endlessly underground. People entered or exited with more strength and treasures while some never made it back after being killed. That entire pattern was disrupted as shocks of energy beyond what any of them had felt before entered their senses. The leaders of the place along with all the clans that stayed there looked in the direction they were coming from only to see a giant ball of death approaching them. It was almost the size of the city itself and full of all sorts of Astral Energy combined into one attack.

"What the hell is that?"

One of the leaders couldn't stop himself from gawking at death as he froze.

"I have no idea but we don't have any time to be messing around. Everyone follow me and contact everyone you can. They are to immediately drop whatever they are doing and report to the City walls. This is an emergency....Anyone who wants to run feel free now. We Have no idea how strong that is or who it's even coming from so I won't blame you."

At this moment though none of them ran, it was pointless to do that and would only get them killed faster

With the help of one the older more experienced Leaders with them tried to get everyone's head on right. They were all in a meeting discussing some of their future plans against Cestrin's attacks today for a total of hundred of them. In a second though the meeting was forced to a halt as the one woman stood up taking charge. Stopping everything they were doing they all headed outside as they met the ball of death head on. Without hesitation the woman told everyone to gather everyone they could as they headed towards the borders of the city. In this moment they didn't have time to think or wonder, they could only just do. Within minutes thousands of people lined up on the walls of the city and watched the rainbow ball get closer.

Hundreds of barriers rose in the air as a giant wall of light built itself to the clouds to try and protect the city. Everyone struggled as the sounds of citizen's panicking entered their ears. The Astral Zone in the centre of the city quietly started to stir as energy flowed through the veins of the city. Deep within it sensed danger to itself as it caused all the Astral Beasts inside of it to go berserk and leave the place. That wasn't to save the Astral Beasts though, it was to force everyone currently in the place to leave. Like an emergency switch had been flipped all the Astral Beasts inside of it went berserk and started to rush for the surface causing panic. That was the only thing it could do to help those people as it sent Astral Energy into the barrier that was made to help out.

Like a slumbering Beast the barrier's shine was faint and dull until the Astral Zone's energy entered it turning it into a bright shining white light that blinded anyone who looked at it. This was it's self defence mechanism if anyone ever tried to destroy it. With a couple more minutes passing more people gathered, strengthening the barrier with the city behind them. If they failed here this entire City would be destroyed along with a lot more. Family, friends, so much would be destroyed if they let it through and there wasn't any time to run or try anything else.

"Don't hold anything back!!!"

Shouting at the top of her lungs she felt the ball slam into their barrier with a thunderous roar. With all their eardrums bursting people collapsed instantly from the impact as all the citizen's who were weaker passed out as well. The area outside of the barrier instantly exploded as a giant crater formed below the ball, completely wiping out the forest there. They had managed to stop the ball of death for a brief second and that was what mattered. Pumping more power into the barrier the Astral Zone checked for any signs of life in its interior. Once it confirmed that it was empty it destroyed every single Astral Beast and used their energy to supply the barrier. Even with all that the barrier still started to have cracks in it as more pulses of energy destroyed the land.

Watching all that destruction some of the citizen's of Ukel felt themselves get sick. Forced to watch a disaster without being able to do anything at all was heartbreaking. Some cried, others did their best to try and look away while others broke inside. All the while The Queen had begun her fight against everyone inside as they all made their choices. Only a very few of them chose to join her side while the rest had started to fight for their lives. Killing them one by one the Queen watched the progress of her attack while chopping another person who attacked her into pieces.

"The Astral Zone is helping them...of course but it won't last long."

At most it would just minimise the damage to the city and the Queen was perfectly okay with that, in the end she would still get what she wanted.

With each passing second more people started to pass out as their Astral Energy was drained instantly. More cracks were spreaded in the barrier as their eardrums ruptured from the shockwaves. The strongest of them were bordering around the 20th stage while the weakest were 14th and even with all that they couldn't completely stop it. Feeling herself lose control the younger woman who was the leader of the city watched the ball inch forward. "We can't stop this." Even with everyone helping them and working together they could only stall their demise. "If nothing changes we'll all die." Biting her lip she used more power as she tried to think of a way to save her people and City.

"What can I do?"

Enjoy.
