Chapter 3 Mate

It was completely dark when Rea and her group safely left the Black Wood forest. However, instead of feeling happy because one of her dreams had come true, Rea felt depressed.

 "If an omega like the chairman shudder is paired with me, what about the level of an Alpha?" Rea muttered.

 Honestly, Rea doesn't care that she will end up single for the rest of her life. It's just that it feels different when she finds out that she actually has a partner, while her partner seems to want to reject her.

 Thinking about that, Rea suddenly felt strange. Until then, she smiled mockingly, why should she think about other people.

 As soon as Rea arrived in front of the house, the girl suddenly gulped when she found the figure of her adoptive father, none other than the head of medicine—Raymond Esclar—standing in the doorway with his arms folded across his chest accompanied by an incredibly sour face.

 "Could we have been discovered?" guessed the girl whispered, feeling anxious.

 As if time was running fast, Rea didn't even realize when she was sitting in a chair with her face down and her hands squeezing each other tightly. Then right across from his desk, Raymond's figure appeared with a sigh of annoyance. The middle-aged man stroked his long graying beard, and occasionally snorted angrily.

 "So, explain why there were reports of you coming out of the Black Wood forest?" Raymond asked with narrowed eyes.

 Rea bit her lip, trying to explain, "Dad, it's not like—"

 "NOT WHAT, HAH?!"

 Rae immediately flinched in surprise. "Gosh, why are you shouting? Even though you haven't heard my explanation," she protested.

 For Raymond, facing Rea who is as stubborn as him is a big challenge that he has to face all the time. However, as Rea gets older and is now 18 years old, the girl becomes increasingly difficult to manage and often breaks the rules. It's as if the more often he is banned, Rea will have a thousand ways to oppose it.

 Raymond massaged his temples with a crazy pulse there. "I also heard that you instigated your seniors to take you to the forest?"

 Rea immediately widened her eyes. "Huh?! Who instigated it? Damn you chief!"

 "Then, starting tomorrow you will be transferred to the cleaning field!"

 Rea once again snatched. This time she even hugged her adoptive father's leg as soon as Raymond left.

 "Father, don't be like this," she said while putting on a pitiful face accompanied by two tears. Unfortunately, Raymond closed his eyes and ears, until when Rea said, "I won't stay here any longer. I've met my Mate, he will take me away," Raymond suddenly held his breath.

 For Rea, she would say anything to make her father change his mind, even if it meant lying, and usually, Raymond would ignore it.

 But it seemed that this time was different, as proven when Raymond stopped and looked at Rea with wide eyes in surprise.

 Unexpectedly, Raymond grabbed Rea's shoulders under his legs, forcing the girl to stand up until they were facing each other.

 Rea was clearly confused when she encountered her father's unusual panic, then pressed on. "Who is it, Rea?!"

 The girl was a little uneasy and nervously said, "Dad, what's wrong with you?"

 "Just answer me, have you really met your Mate? Tell me, who he is?"

 Rea had no choice but to nod because the pressure her father exuded was completely different while Rea was a little afraid. Unconsciously the girl said honestly, "Father, you might not believe it, but I would not be mistaken in recognizing that he is ... Alpha Kilian."

 In the same second, Rea suddenly screamed when she found her father suddenly collapsed to the floor with a blank look. The middle-aged man muttered incoherently.

 Lily was about to protest, but realizing the powerful atmosphere Kilian was emitting was very dangerous, she couldn't help but obey. Arguing with Kilian now would only make him regret it if the man turned wild and ended up killing her. Grabbing her clothes then leaving with a sour face, today Lily was not at all satisfied.

 As soon as the door slammed shut, Alpha Kilian sat down again, this time at the work desk, then said, "Luce, come in, I have something to say."
