5 Emilia 5 (Final)

Subaru was current inside the Pleiades Watchtower to meet Echidna, since her soul wasn't her the Sanctuary anymore, it was moved into the Pleiades tower and the other witches right now, he was in front of Echidna who was sitting at her table drinking her tea.

"So, what brings you here?" She was amused by his expression.

"Echidna…" Subaru was irritated, this is one of the reasons why he doesn't want to meet her. "You know what I want. Where is my WIFE AND DAUGHTER!?"

As he shouted, Echidna didn't even flinch or change her expression; she continued to take a sip at her tea and replied. "For someone that is asking me a question, you're pretty rude."

"Cut the bullshit," Subaru growled at her.

"My, how rude but I guess those are one of the qualities that I like about you, you're not afraid of me. Anyway to answer your question, no it's not me who took your little elf and daughter, it had nothing to do with me, but it had something to do with you." Echidna said calmly.

"W-what do you mean?"

"Do you need me to say it? Isn't it already obvious?"

"I swear if this is one you-"

Echidna shut him off with a sigh. "I know you're not an idiot, but you're being foolish, it's S.T.E.L.L.A who would have the ability to transport them without anyone knowing?"

"You must be joking, Stella is-"

"I take it back you are an idiot Natsuki Subaru, how could you not think of such a possibility? Just because you and that harlot are now in a truce, it doesn't mean that she wouldn't do anything."

"...." Subaru couldn't deny her claim.

"Back to your question, if where is that foolish elf that you called wife and daughter is, she's not here you get it? That harlot is responsible for that." Echidna said with a bit of annoyance, the man in front of him is being foolish.

Subaru was left hanging, he thought. 'Shit! How come I didn't think of that?! Of course! They are not here means they are not in this world…did the stress get me? No, maybe I'm being truly foolish as she said…now that I know where they are…it doesn't make me less calm at all! Instead, it only increased my worry! Subaru never wanted her help, but she's the most knowledgeable person that he knew, she was the answer, he looked at her who had a slight grin on her face.

He gritted her teeth and thought. 'This is not time to think about pride! I need her help!'

"Echidna."

"No, I won't help you."

"Hey!"

"I won't help you without something in return, it's quite unfair you know?" Echidna stated the obvious.

Subaru looked at her with a grim expression, after hesitating for a moment, he replied. "What do you want?"

"You."

"Excuse me?" Subaru looked at her dumbfounded.

Echidna, on the other hand, licked her lips, all of a sudden Subaru felt a shiver down to his spine.

Emilia let out a frustrated sigh, she was getting nowhere with her magic research, as much as she wanted to smash her head on the table, she wouldn't because that wouldn't be elegant. "I'm stuck…"

While she was refreshing her mind, suddenly someone knocked at her door. "A moment!"

After that, she approached the door and opened it, and she saw her daughter who was wearing the panda jacket that she wore in the mall, and she was holding a panda plushie.

"Mommy?" Her daughter said.

Hearing her daughter, her facial expression visibly relaxed, she smiled and softly said. "Yes, my little princess?"

Chocorina looked at her hesitantly before saying. "When are we going to meet daddy?"

Emilia almost showed a sad expression toward her daughter, but before it happened she gained control of her expression, making it look like she just frowned for a second, then she patted her daughter's head and replied. "Oh, it's about that, don't worry mommy is working for it, don't worry we'll meet daddy soon okay?"

Chocorina smiled back innocently. "Mhm! Okay! I'll go back to my room now mommy! Good night! I love you!"

Emilia's heart melted and pinched her daughter's cheeks and said. "I love you too, my precious princess, good night."

After her daughter left, Emilia expression turned into a sad one, honestly at this point, she wasn't sure if they could go back to their world, simply because there wasn't enough solution of how to, during the month she stayed in this world, she read everything that might have a slight chance of bringing them back even if they are just fiction, but until now there was no success, but she won't give for the sake of her family.

Then time passes, it's been an entire year since Emilia and Chocorina arrived on this world. In a certain abandoned building in Tokyo, a portal appeared and a man with black hair came out of the portal. "HAHAHAHA! IT WORKED! IT REALLY WORKS! EMILIA! CHOCORINA! I'M COMING!"

At the Natsuki Resident,

Emilia's room was filled with books, a lot of them scattered around, and buried under those hundreds of books. Emilia was crying silently, ever since she started until now, she didn't have a single process, it remained zero. None, those countless days she was diligently working was for naught! It didn't do anything aside from a toll on her body.

She could only cry her frustration, as she cried suddenly when the door to her room opened. Quickly she tried to wipe the tears on her eyes, but she was too late. As Naoko, her mother-in-law, saw her, she had a bitter expression as she looked at her.

"M-mother! T-this isn't what it looks like! I-it's just I-I'm reading a book! Yes! A really sad book!" Emilia tried to hide it, but her mother-in-law shook her head and said.

"No, need to hide is dear. I know…from the moment you started I know…It's just…I pretended not to. I didn't try to bother you but…right now I can't ignore it anymore, you are finding a way to go back to your world right?"

Hearing her mother-in-law talk. Emilia couldn't help but bite her lips in guilt., she muttered. "I'm sorry…."

"Sorry? Why are you apologizing?"

"But..! I thought you are-" Before Emilia could continue, she was cut off by Naoko.

"No! I'm not mad, in fact, I'm worried about your health, dear I can understand your desire to go back home, however, you shouldn't neglect your health!" Naoko scolded her.

"I-i'm sorry…"

"Oh, you are a young lady! You know, you can just ask me. Ask us for help! You shouldn't do this alone, I'm not against you going back but please take care of yourself first okay?" Naoko was genuinely worried about her daughter-in-law's physical and mental health

After that, the dam broke. Emilia started crying her guilt, sadness, and loneliness

"Uwaaahh! Mother! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

Quickly Naoko hugged her tightly and started patting her head. "There..there….let it out, dear…"

Emilia continued crying in her mother-in-law's chest, she let it all out.

Naoko stops patting her daughter-in-law's head, after she stops crying, it took a full 10 minutes for her to stop, she must have hidden her frustrations for a while now, looking at her daughter-in-law, she could see her reddened eyes, seeing this she thought. 'She must have missed her world..and my son..'

She smiled sadly, she too missed her son, she missed her baby much, so she could understand Emilia more than anyone else.

"It's a good thing that you let it all out, are you feeling better now?"

Emilia nods slightly. Naoko smiled. "That's good, come with me to the kitchen I'll make you something hot to drink."

After that, both of them went to the kitchen.\

Naoko was holding two mugs in both hands, she went to the dining table to give her daughter-in-law a hot chocolate coffee to drink, as she arrived Emilia wasn't there, so she looked for her and she found her at the house door, putting both hands in her mouth like she saw something shocking, as Naoko got closer, she saw someone she dreamed of meeting, someone she misses so much, someone who made her cry almost every day since he disappeared, tears formed in her eyes as she dropped mugs in her hand, and dashed toward the person outside the door and shouted.

"MY SON!! MY BABY! YOU'RE BACK!!"

Because of how hard she tackled him, they both got to the ground, and her son Subaru laughed with tears in his eyes and replied. "Mom, I'm home."
