Carefully as she can to avoid causing him any harm, everything was going as she planned but as she bumped into his hair, she smelled such a soothing odor that made her tense and nervous body. Calmed down when she feels his's warmth while she gets a glimpse of his face that isn't reacting to their situation

They were welcomed by Agni that anticipated Morris's time of arrival, the fireplace was lit and some warm cocoa was prepared on the table. All the artifacts and equipment, around the shop, were nowhere to be seen

"Kyo whatever happens grab Esther and make a run for it" He whispered as he sees Kyo nod with his order and the two of them proceed slowly entered the building and arrived at the table Agni was taking a sip on a bottle of rum

Harnessing a portion of mana on his hand he steeled himself if Agni has any ill intentions towards him after he became the talk of the world. For vanquishing 100 Goblins with only his skills and mastery of magic not to mention being alone without any outside help. Someone like that would fetch a price to be given even a piece of information, which made him wary when he finally came back to his shop

"No need to be so nervous im not going to hurt, do you want a warm cup of cocoa?" Agni holds out one cup of cocoa in reach for Kyo while Morris remained to bear his hostility after he made his conclusion about his current situation

"It's fine Kyo, drink it there's nothing wrong," He gives a smile to reassure Kyo that didn't hesitate to take his offer, he drank the cocoa without a single drop being seen. Kyo started to feel a little exhausted, moving toward the seat where his guardian was located, he clung to his clothes until he fell asleep. while Morris place Esther down on the lengthy sofa before Agni guided him to a room where he sees him making a peculiar walk that opened a hidden room, after he entered a message popped out from his view

"Let's begin our discussion, shall we dear customer," Agni snapped his finger which made the floors contract to reveal a hidden furniture for their chat. Without any hesitation, he reclined to the seat and didn't even bother to suspect him even further

"Finally, I can rest you won't believe what happened to me throughout 4 days before I got here,"

"I'm guessing you're here, to get a job?" Agni stared at his client who shows no sign of fear even though he was standing in a room where his voice can travel from the outside world

"Let's cut to the chase, I'm not looking for a job that pays a lot but it needs to have some privileges," He takes out the goblin kings sword in his bag

"You're selling this!!?" His jaw drops when he sees the item that was placed on the table

"You're a merchant, am I correct? I need someone who can get me some information if a sub-trial appears. It doesn't have to be that informative just the name and its location," Agni was stunned by his proposal and quickly search his drawer after hearing the end of his sentences

"Only the information you sure about that?" Agni placed a contract out of nowhere

"I need that contract for multiple people, two for now and the rest later, im, not someone blessed with power or luck. I'm always thinking as I take a step forward so don't assume that im talented in my field of work. Im, not someone who wants to die because my contract only makes me work, alone," He said before he writes anything within their contract

'I can't understand this kid, I thought that he was an idiot for a second now he's finding faults in my contract. I can't let someone like him escape my grasp, if it's him I might find a way to track down my master's location. Hes already being given a ton of attention from the deities around him, if he were to grow even further. He might even get the attention of the contracted deity of my master,'

"I'll make a note of that, Christopher Morris this is a life and death contract if you ever try to deny the terms we agreed upon you'll die. while in exchange I'll die if I didn't fulfill my side of the contract. Do you wish to continue?" The contract started to unleash an ominous aura that leaked out of the room waking Esther and making her barge into their current location

"Morris are you here there's a sinister, aura that's coming from here~," She doesn't see anyone inside the room, so she closes and checks the other room for his location. They were in the first room that she entered, but an illusion that Agni sets up faded away revealing the two of them after it wasn't able to detect her energy. The two of them finished their contract and he finally received his first job after he came into his novel

"Congratulations you are now, a private mercenary that's managed by me, if you need some funding I can make it that you'll get what you want be it a discount on the items or information that even the guild doesn't know,"

Esther was confused when she sees Morris inside the room, she looks at every corner for him, and when she was busy waking Kyo he suddenly appear out of nowhere

"Morris, where did you go? I was looking for you,"

"I was talking to the owner about your relic are you worried about me," He teases her which made her silent for a moment

'Oh, shit is she mad she's so quiet did I blow it I was trying to calm her down she looks a little scared when she worked up sensing that aura,'

"Of course, I thought you were in trouble isn't that what a comrade will do," Esther said as she sees Morris confused with her answer

'Comrades? Isn't she acting a little bit friendly I never once treated her like one I just helped her, and now this question, popped out from my head? Did I write her as easygoing, or wasn't she a stubborn person I have no clue, wait a minute didn't I discuss this with Jin? If Esther did become the heroine the chances of her following the mc were to save her,'

"Morris, dude what are you glaring at don't tell me you fell for my charms," She tried to tease him a little after he was glaring at her for a short time before he came back to his senses

"Not a chance I just didn't think that you saw me as your comrade," He laughed as he say those words
