Chapter 25: S.P.A A.R.C

As Lars and the others landed inside the hovercopter, they came to an empty spot in the hot and baron dessert.

"So... this is it?" Lars asked looking around. "We're in the middle of nowhere?"

"Were not in the middle of nowhere..." Obrian said. Were about 35 kilometers east and 20 south of the middle to be exact."

"What does that..."

s Lars spoke a hologram appeared on a display in the hovercraft.

"Welcome Henriette Obrian" A voice said.

"Requesting Access to S.P.A Arc" Henriette asked

"Granted" The voice replied

As soon as the response came, the ground began to rumble shaking the inner walls of the Hovercopter.

The land began to rise as the pillars of sand they were on top of slowly fell of the sides of the rising landmass. Within moments the group found themselves on a giant grey Helipad.

Hitting a button to cause the hovercopter to hover, The pilot guided it as the giant Helipad began to slide open, like a giant pair of doors. Guiding the hovercopter through the space, the pilot landed it in a garage below where they had flown.

Lars stepped out of the Hovercopter, finding himself in a giant Lab that looked like some kind of Meausuem. The floors and walls of the space were white, and men in S.P.A jackets walked back and forth between giant landscapes that housed giant machinery.

"Welcome to my personal project." Obrian said spreading his arms. "The S.P.A Archeological Restoration and Conservation Project, or Arc."

Each machine, or device was behind a glass display, highlighted in front of the display was information on the device in question with sometimes a scientist or a technician behind the glass inspecting it.

"What are all those weird devices?" Reggie asked.

"They are technology from the Pre-shift era" O'Brian said walking up to a display. "This here was called a gameboy, apparently some kind of handheld device to play videogames" Obrian said.

"In one of these games one apparently went around capturing monsters and battling them, a strangely primitive thing to do but I guess that was what passed as entertainment in their time." O'Brian said.

"Wait... but there is no virtual mapping... there are only four buttons... how did one control their character!" Reggie remarked.

"The directional pads were used as movement and the other buttons did basic interaction." Lars said.

"Astounding!" O'Brian remarked "Do tell me Axel, how do you know of this item! There is no record of it in a textbook!"

"Shit!" Lars thought. "I just blew my cover! Think Lars think!"

"I've seen it in the old comic books" B said. "In some of them they reference that Gameboy thing I think Axel is right"

"I'll pretend I didn't hear that" O'Brian said smiling. "You know very well the S.P.A's stance on comic books B."

"Thank god!" Lairs said relieved.

"Awesome! Well, how did you cook dinner or build things with just those buttons?" Reggie asked

"Well in that era, you couldn't really do that in games, everything was built for you you kind of did whatever the game told you too." Lars said

"Remarkable" O'Brian said watching Lars carefully. "Your knowledge is truly remarkable"

"Enough of your ego inflated research!" Seymour said. "I suppose you have a glove shop set up here correct? Lets get ready for our mission" Seymour said.

"If you must" Obrian said leading them away from the gameboy.

"Glove shop?" Lars said following Seymour and O'Brian

Lars and friends came to a clearing, and after going through a set of double doors arrived at a room full of mannequins.

"This room is giving me the creeps yo" Reggie said looking around at the mannequins.

"This is how I feel hanging around you guys" Lance sneered. "It's like I feel like I'm the only one with a conscious and active mind."

"Keep talking and your not gonna be conscious much longer airhead!" B remarked

"I'd love to see you try" Lance laughed.

"Hmmm..." O'Brian said looking around, that's strange I don't see him anywhere around. Sally? Are you here?" Obrian called.

"OHH MY Lovely O'Brian! You have finally returned to me!" A soft voice called in the distance

"OHHHH Nice!" Reggie whispered to Lars. "The voice of an angel I bet she's a beauty!"

Lance blushed quickly looking away from the two of them. "He, women are nothing but trouble."

"Women?" 6 said. "I'm confused B is the only woman here"

"Where talking about a real woman!" Reggie said tapping 6's head "Not a girl! Look she's coming this way!"

"Who's not real?" B said fuming

As the group anticipated Sally's entrance a beautiful fragrance filled the air.

"It's like the scent of roses... doused in some kind of lavender fragrance" Reggie said getting entranced.

"Oh give me a break! One site of a woman and our all googly eyed!" B said crossing her arms.

"Boys will be boys" Seymour said laughing.

As the group bickered amongst themselves the singing voice got closer and closer as the sound of something gliding down a railing was heard.

"She must be coming down one of those rails!" Lars said pointing above.

"Who are you all talking about?" 6 said

All of the mannequins were connected to long silver poles that had railings connecting them together in a network.

Up in the sky a lady dressed in all white with a top hat and red flowers glided across the sky.

"There she is!" Reggie said running towards the desk she was coming towards.

"Judging by the vocal patterns and the frequency of the ether... I would judge-" 6 began.

"Silence 6!" Reggie touted. "Finnally!" He said as she glided down the silver pole. "After years of dealing with teenagers at an Academy I get to meet A 100% authentic real-"

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT!"

Reggie, Lars, B, and Lance, and even Seymour, all fell to the ground as they witnessed a long hairy leg stick out from the womans dress.

As she landed on the ground her Addams apple shook softly as she extended her arms, that were ripe with armpit hair across to O'Brian

"Sally" Obrian said happily.

"OH O'Brian!" Sally said shaking his rear. "I'm so happy to see you!"

"SEYMOUR MAKE IT STOP!" Reggie screamed as tears rolled down his face.

Seymour still completely mind blown was unable to reply.

"Seymoure... Seymour!" Lars said trying to remove the image he had had in his mind.

"You've finnaly returned!" Sally said blowing a kiss. "And your Salvador is here to give you everything you need!"

"Your too kind" O'Brian replied

"WAIT A MINUTE!" Reggie yelled. "HOW IS OBRIAN Unfazed by this!"

"Hmmm" Unfazed by what dear boy?" Salvador said winking at Reggie.

"Unphased by an UGLY MAN LADY!!!!!!" Reggie yelled pointing at Salvador.

"Hmmm" Salvador said. "Well I guess it makes sense, I suppose after he saw your face the first time he got used to it."

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAATTTTTT!!!" Reggie yelled.

"Listen here you pipsqueek Calamaried headed boy!" Salvador snarled. "The way I see it! Your the only ugly Man Lady here!"
