Banquet pt. 2

Ezekiel pulled me forward so he could introduce me. I then gladly met Sera's gaze with a strong sense of deja vu.

"This is Nadia, and she will be your companion while you are here in the empire."

"Nice to meet you."

I beamed at Sera, staring at her curiously, wanting to take in her appearance and every minor detail of her face.

'She looked a bit like my mom…'

That was the first thing that came to mind.

Maybe because they have the same eye color. And although she didn't possess the same color of hair as us, it's still on the lighter side. So the resemblance is uncanny.

'There is no doubt. She's my cousin.'

Does she also think that we look similar?

Sera returned my smile with her own.

"Hi, nice to meet you too. I'll be in your care."

She then glanced at Nathan and back to me. 

I bet she put two and two together that we are siblings. It's so obvious, anyway.

"I hope we get along well," I replied.
