6 An Unwelcomed guest...

Daiko was steering the ship as far away from the attacks as possible. But they wouldn't let up.

'Shit, these things are relentless!' He thought. Weaving out of the trajectory of another beam.

However, as he flew, the attacks became less frequent. The planet was multiple times larger than Earth given the info he read.

'I need to land fast, those things do not want me to be here...' Daiko thought. The attacks finally stopped after another 10 minutes of booking it from their area.

Right now... it was best to find a place where he could land, and his ship wouldn't be attacked...

'I need to find a large clearing. Luckily my ship isn't the largest. It should be possible, but I need to hurry...' Daiko thinks to himself as he continued looking through the weather.

After minutes more of flying, he finally found somewhere to park his ship...

'That was stressful. I almost lost my ship in that charade. Still, it doesn't make sense how they seemed to know where I was going to come from... Do they have some sort of hyper-advanced tracking device? It could be possible...' Daiko pondered.

No matter how much he thought of it, it didn't make sense. It's clear that these weren't some mindless beasts... They were in teams, attacking in unity, and not only that. The creatures could also use ki attacks...

"...If they had ki-based attacks... doesn't that mean, they could potentially sense ki too?" Daiko also thought.

'It would make sense as to how they could find me... I can't read ki as yet. I can only manipulate it within my body, and I'm barely capable of doing that now given my suppression removal... Shit...' Daiko thought.

'Great, I guess... I need to relax... But the ship needs to go in stealth mode first.' Daiko thought, doing just that.

He lowered his power level to about the same as it was before. After months of training his Ki-manipulation, it was simple but it took a little while...

*DING!*

[The host has successfully landed on the desired planet, rewards will be distributed in your inventory now...]

Seeing the pop-up, Daiko smiled.

However, he left that out for now. He had other tests to run...

Walking towards the back of the ship. He then opened it, however a wave of icy cold temperatures hit him.

*SWOOSHHH!!!*

He curled up into himself. The cold was horrible.

"W-W-What t-the h-h-h-hell" He said out loud. Grabbing his shoulders with his hands.

'It's absolutely freezing here, and I haven't even stepped out of my ship!' Daiko exclaimed mentally.

Luckily his saiyan physiology was naturally resistant to these conditions... He couldn't imagine the effect on normal saiyans... he now knew why it was deemed next to impossible. But that only motivated him more.

As he stepped out, he heard the system notification go off. With the gravity hitting him

With each level, the cold affected him less and less, until it was at a decent degree to where he didn't have to tremble as he walked...

"I tell ya', the gamer's body is truly a blessing. This is definitely one of the most powerful skills in fiction, hands down." Daiko said with confidence.

However, the real issue here is the gravity. He was resisting it, however, since his body wasn't used to the change, it was taking its time to adapt...

'I figured, simply having a high power level doesn't make you resist gravity 'much', but... Simply being here is making me stronger, I can feel the effects of gravity less and less.' He thought.

His energy was rising in response to his body's growth...

'I guess I'll just try and meditate here.... actually why haven't I tried meditating before? Anyway, I'll keep practicing ki-control, build my resistance to the cold and to gravity.' Daiko planned.

"For someone so knowledgeable, you sure aren't wise, Daiko." Daiko cursed himself a little. However, he continued his endeavors...

Daiko sat on the cold and hard ground, something he didn't really want to do, but it would help build his overall resistance. He then calmed his breathing and went into a meditative position...

After breathing in and out, calming his mind, and letting everything go...

*DING!*

Daiko ignored the prompts, getting lost in the coolness he was feeling. A great calmness washed over his mind... Unknowingly to him, almost an entire day had passed since he was just, sitting there...

Finally, he opened his eyes...

'I feel so... Hungry... I'm, starving!' He said in his mind.

He didn't know how long he was there sitting, but he was sure it must have been a while. A couple of hours at least.

He quickly ran back inside his ship to get something to eat...

"Phew! That was great! Food hadn't tasted that good in a while!" Daiko said, rubbing his stomach in satisfaction.

But it was back to business.

Daiko no longer felt the strain of the cold and gravity bothering him at all, which was a great sign since he was having problems moving just a bit ago...

"I need to check my stats again, I should have become a decent bit more powerful." Daiko thought., pulling up his status sheet...

He went outside once more, the cold was now barely affecting him, if any at all. The sheer coldness here made his new passive level up rather quickly, which spoke of its sheer potency and danger...

Looking ahead, seemingly thinking he said. "I need to start finding a source of food. I'm not going to eat anything past this week If I don't get anything soon" Daiko said to himself. However, he knew that might be a bit challenging...

In the end, he steeled his resolve. He then took his ship's marker and other land markers and carried them with him to not get lost in the icy cold tundra...

'I'll be back, ship...' Daiko said as if the ship was alive as he ventured out, closing the ship's entrance behind himself...

~ Daiko's Pov... ~

'I've been walking for half an hour now... no signs of life anywhere as yet. I'm starting to wonder if I had gotten attacked in the first place.' I thought dejectedly.

The only thing I could find was more of the planet's harsh conditions... My cold resistance leveled up twice more, which was decent, at least this trip wasn't for nothing.

As I continued walking to find anything. I spotted two large figures ahead...

I upped my guard swiftly.

"That must be them... They're huge..." I said, marveling at their size.

I dashed forward in a burst of speed. They hadn't noticed my presence and I would take advantage of that.

I flew toward what looked like their heads and shot two of my eraser canons at them, blowing them each off to pieces instantly.

I looked at both giants fall with great force... 'This... seemed a bit easy, but these guys were considered small fry by the reports... but since I saw two of them here. I must be close to where they usually stay at least. I just need to look around a bit more.' I thought.

As I walked off ready to move on, I quickly remembered a key detail... These things, they never dropped any EXP, no notifications of the kill. Nothing...

And that was weird...

'I guess they were too weak to giv-'

*SWOOSH!!!*

A large blue energy wave moved right past me. I quickly dodged it just in time, but not totally unscathed. My cheek was grazed and left bleeding from that.

I looked to see the giants now getting reformed as if they never had been attacked.

"Well, shit... no wonder I didn't get any notifications. These things were still alive." I said, I then began running towards them to find any weakness. After a while.

I did...

'That glow, hehehehe... now I get it... ' I thought and realized...

"You guys aren't just giants... You're golems! I should've known better. But I guess the king was too sloppy to realize that one, or he left it out. But it doesn't matter, it's time to die." I said, smirking.

I charged my eraser canons once more. Aiming at where their upper chest was. And with deadly precision, the blast blew them to smithereens. destroying them instantly.

I saw them fall once more, but now. I was confident in my reward...

*DING!*

Not bad at all, I got 6 levels from just two golems. It's a bit disappointing that I never got any drops... But who am I to complain, EXP is just as good an option.

I walked up to their crumbled bodies...

'Not bad... I could use these crystals for my future clothing, and maybe an earing soon enough.' I mused, salvaging the abundant amounts of minerals they had dropped.

"Alright. I need to continue forward. I'll need to find where the rest of them are." I said, disappearing into the icy storm...
