Re: The Last Rose

When the first 2 gods descended, they fell in love at first sight, and the moon god created several roses to gift to the sun god as a sign of his affection. Those same roses were then passed down to their descendants, mortals, to take care of them. Roses are usually red, but the first roses exist in different colors, and whenever a mortal pluck one of the original roses, they are blessed with unimaginable power. A few of the roses have been found, and several others are waiting for their chosen one, but one, in particular, has never even been spotted, the black rose. **************************************************************** P.S. Chapter 311: Dear

Perseus POV

"Can you not have my sister sit on your lap?" Saber requested.

"I tried, but she's the one that insisted on it."

Leilah didn't say anything and continued to sit on my lap anyway as we start talking about getting them to do the oath. It feels a bit weird to have them both in the room at the same time, it feels both hot and cold, and the gods themselves, one's cold and calculating while the other is hot-headed and impulsive.

Maple then did her best to talk them into not attacking my village in the future and told them of my plans to visit the other side and about me being scared that they will attack my village while I'm away, she also wants the oath to extend to their believers.

"What will I get in return?" Saber asked, "I got everything I need and I don't particularly like this village that doesn't worship me as much as I want them to."

"I'll help bring your mother back."

"Huh?"

"She said that she's ready to retire and spend the rest of her life as a mortal, the only reason that she's still there is because of a guy with no soul who got some secret evil plan and an army of people who are all each capable of causing an extinction."

"Oh?" Isfrid, or today Herb, perked up, "I'll take your oath for free if you bring me 3 living people of those who are capable of causing an extinction."

"Hell no."

"Well, bringing my mother back isn't enough for me." Isfrid replied, "Us gods take oaths seriously, you know."

"Fine, what if I arrange a festival dedicated to the god of summer here and I'll gift a blueprint of the missile to Isfrid after I return, you get your worship, and you get a really powerful weapon."

There are magic spells that are more powerful than that, but the name sounds intimidating enough to attract Isfrid's attention who wants something to kill anything related to demons, Saber, the god of summer and weapons also seems intrigued.

"I'll give you the oath if you give it to me and not him." Saber said

"Same promise if you give it to me instead." Isfrid said.

The both of them then started to argue over the idea of being given a blueprint for such a weapon. They were more intense by the minute and Maple barely calmed them down.

"Can't we...I don't know...instead of fighting over the blueprint, how about we all agree to a truce? You both get the design, and you can even build the weapon if you want. But in return, you have to swear the oath to protect my village.

"What the hell are you talking about? I want my believers to be the rulers of the world, why would I share it with him?!" Saber snarled, "And maybe then, Mother will choose to become my wife."

"Dude, she's your mother."

"Your mothers are beautiful too, shouldn't you understand me the most?"

"No, I don't, that's creepy and stupid as hell."

"If you give it to me, I'll spare Lilith when I eliminate Tehios and the demon continent." Isfrid proposed, "I'll even spare your people on a permanent oath."

"What if I bring a person in possession of a power of a god and the blueprint for the missile, you can choose one of the 2."

I'll bring a black-level threat here instead...maybe a weak apocalypse-class guy here depending on the level of the missile, there's no way for the powers to pass on anyway, and I'll use Leilah to make sure that those power will die out with them and not choose anyone else or get passed down to anyone else by attaching a death curse to it.

Either way, they'll get scammed.

*****

By the end of the discussion, I'd managed to get them both to swear an eternal oath as I sneaked in my power as Loki to coax them little and little in that direction while they argue with each other.

As they were distracted with each other, my words slowly slipped into their minds and they promised to not touch my village and people forever unless we mean them harm and they'll only attack those who mean them harm.

They didn't notice anything as to why words slowly crept into their minds as I played their egos against each other, Maple tried to stop it but Ruka shut her up as she enjoyed the drama.

Saber will have the missile while Isfrid will get a strong mutated guy, the easiest deal of my life, I just gotta kidnap someone and bring them here. As they left, Lilith came back and placed a paper with the picture and instructions for the ritual.

"Let's go kill the Homunculus real quick and then we go deal with that world, and get Mom to tell us how to travel to other alternate universes." Lilith said, "I need a rematch, that little bitch didn't even try that hard."

"Everyone can have their losses, we learn from our mistakes and losses, just take that defeat as a lesson."

"Dear, after my parents left, the title of the most powerful was given to me, and I've lost to a weapon who gained some sort of sentient thoughts. Do you not know what that does to my pride?"

Dear, that's scary, she's never called me that before, well she's not the type to call me that ever. She probably won't even call me that even when we're married, it's kinda freaking me out.

"Fine, after we do everything, we'll find a way to meet them and let you guys have a rematch...and probably lose again."

"You're not making her feel better." Leilah whispered despite Lilith being able to hear about it anyway.

"Do you seriously think that she can beat the sword spirit of the strongest guy we know?"

"Oh no, she won't stand a chance."

"Right, before she strikes me down, let's go get the homunculus."

I can see the glare of Lilith and I saw a smile creeping up on her face, it was getting more scary by the minute, so I need an escape.
