Chapter 123: Knight

3rd Person POV

Reiner flew up from the right and use his blade(Rowan) backed that is thick with mana surrounding it and made an open gash, but he can tell how dense its arms are, just pure metal, the giant then threw a large swing and it was too slow.

Everyone is attacking it from every angle, but Perseus took a step back, Reiner and Rowan noticed that, but something was even stranger was the fox that released cold air around itself and is causing ice on the desert sand, and in the next second the blast of super cold wind erupted from the small fox as a large area of the desert got covered in ice and the desert skies snowed.

The snow then turned into a roaring blizzard as the sky darkens as the giant golem was frozen in its place along with most of the mage on site like some sort of statue. Lilith created a barrier around her people and they were spared unlike the most of the humans who were too slow to respond.

But it was not that easy as the golem sot lasers out of its eyes and the ice started to melt as its body started to heat up and the moment its arm got free, it shot are large light beam at the fox, but Perseus was there with his arm out and the attacked is nulled as all of it got absorbed into Perseus' body.

Leilah then caused the giant's shadow to form it into tentacles which she then used it to pierce through the golem as she and Ruka used their powers to charge up a large orb that has a swirl of black and blue, once it got fully charged, it blasted right through the forearm and punctured a hole through it.

The mages who weren't frozen shoot out a barrage of spell at the giant who is now charging at their direction. Buddy then caused the blizzard to shoot out many lightning bolts at the giants which pushes it back unlike the barrage of spell which barely did anything.

The sky crackles as a large bolt of lightning formed in the sky by the fox and it then brought it down on the staggering golem which cause an explosion so destructive that it blew apart the clouds and blow away the frozen sand. The fox then summon several large destructive lightning bolts over and over and shoot it at the giant who is still enduring all of this as it now darken in color due to electricity searing its body.

If it try to escape, Buddy would freeze it while raining down lightning bolts. The air in the area got seared and the wind blown by the explosions caused a miniature sandstorm. No one can even come close to the site due to the terrifying destructive power unfolding in front of their eyes.

What happened next is something that wasn't written down by the first demon lord, it was the last phase of the golem, the underground dungeon of the temple floated up to the sky and melt and the giant melt itself and joined together.

But unlike last time, the golem is much smaller, about 4 m tall and it now possess 4 arms with medium length swords in each of them and it's definitely much more stronger as it's a much more condensed form of them golem.

In a flash, it appeared at the group of human mages and started to cut them up.

<This information was only given to us demons.> Lilith thought as she watched over the scene <Buddy, possess long range destructive spells that can blow up a city in seconds, he did beat that phase, but the 3rd phase...well...that was what he added after he finished writing that diary, it was when he became the demon lord and ordered to turn it into a killing machine in hopes of a hero opening it and dying by its hands.

<It would turn into a knight that possess extreme speed and is better than its 2 previous phases in every way, more durable, higher power output, agility....the only thing that was programmed in this phase is that it won't attack any fox in its range.

<His original self designed it to just be tough and durable, but his hatred for the humans who didn't appreciate him gotten stronger once he switched his race, and he added this function in secret.>

Perseus POV

Shit, is this what Leilah also warned about?! I regret ignoring her now. Right as it cut down every single support mage, it went for the heroes who is our second group of backup support mages behind the barrier, in a flash, it appeared in front of them and cut the barrier in half, and in the next blink of the eye, it killed all the barrier mages.

9 star equipments didn't stand a chance, its body is made of 10 star materials after all, and now its blades are cladded with light magic, causing it to cut through everything like smooth butter.

I can't let it kill the heroes yet, so I had to intervene, I then did this lifeline that Lucifer taught me, I turned my body's atoms into light particles and with the help of light magic with light manipulation, I turned into a streak of white flash that traveled in the speed of light.

I created a sword made from light and used it to block the 2 sword being swung down by its 2 upper arms. I heard the sound of my bones breaking and fracturing from enduring the impact.

I can match, no, I can move faster than this guy, but I can't do it for long, and I am nowhere stronger than it in physical strength. I can't move from my spot as the heroes are frozen in place, so I had to stand my ground.

Its 2 lower arms is about to cleave me in half as but Buddy arrived in his body clad by lightning and bump hard into the knight's body and push it far away.

"I was this fucking close to death if you didn't arrive there...what the hell are you lot looking at, run, it's fucking targeting you lot." I shouted to the heroes

The knight charged at me again and this time was intercepted by Reiner who's holding a massive shield(Rowan's shield form).

This day went from exciting to almost my funeral.
