Meaning he can have only one female helper or many, this may and may not be a harem book as the story progress you will know but rest assure if its taking the harem route the people in that circle will be minimal, he won't love them only the harem member will have to win his heart as the mc betrayal has made him not to trust anyone even his 'children', you get the figurative if one of the harem member becomes worthless, he will just use her as a breeding tool or outlet of his frustration.
