After walking far away from the alley, Adam let out a sigh of relief. There are various reasons for his actions just now, like making plausible explanations to his magic powers. After all, he don't want to risk being dissected like an alien for science, even tough martial artists don't seem the type do that, unlike mages. Also making up an inexistent powerful background for him because even tough stuff like Walker clan doesn't exist, enemies would still be wary.

He also is not preoccupied that the Zhu family would hunt him down, because even tough Zhu Zimin is a young master of the Zhu family, he don't have that much power in his clan because of his low talent in cultivation and a bad personality. The Zhu clan has three young masters and as long as he doesn't kill or overly hurt him or sully Zhu family reputation only Zhu Zimin will try to kill him, not the Zhu clan. And Adam is obviously not scared of that dude nor he has any friend or family that he can be a threat to.

Adam suddenly remembered the system notification that sounded in the middle of the fight.

"Yes," Adam nodded excitedly. 300 points were already good enough, coupling with the magic bag, the reward was wonderful. A magic bag is a low ranked storing device that works like the space ring, but a bit less useful.

Adam was again the familiar hard bed of the cheap inn he found the first day in the city. He had come here first because it was cheap and stayed because the inn owner was a good guy. He was scrolling his spell list and stopped at a certain spell.

Earth Bind

The earth under the opponent feet rises up and bind him like a snake. The stronger the Mage, the bigger and stronger the bindings. Can also crush enemies to death.

"This is it! A spell to hold enemies down..." Adam was lacking a spell like that for a long time. Till now, he could only cast Mana Shield and let enemies hit him till they are tired and blast them with fireballs. Besides, Earth Bind potential is huge by its description. Depending on how strong he is, can't he do stuff like summoning a giant Earth Bind and crush mountains?

Adam was daydreaming in his bed imagining him crushing a mountain without changing his expression in a cool way. He completely forgot the fact that he won't become powerful like that for a very very long time.

Snapping out of his daydreaming, he bought the spell and the same familiar thing happened with a scroll appearing out of thin air and he learning it instantly. He got to the forest like usual and tested his Earth Bind might. It works like all his other spells that depending on the amount of mana he puts in. His current full power can crush to death normal black wolfs, he almost puked seeing the corpse state. Unfortunately, he can't crush a low-ranked Martial Apprentice level beast to death but he can break some bones of it, and he needs his full power to hold a middle ranked apprentice beast down.
