Ch 27. Dilruba 2.0

Mr. Barui trusted me completely as I can see. So, he told me about Dilruba Jahan's history.

"Her grandfather was a great commander in the imperial army. For his great service & performance in war, the king rewarded him the title of " zamindar". He was from a common background not of some noble blood."

"He had two son and one daughter. The daughter was married off to some rich businessman, one son wen't on to become a great warrior like his dad. But the problem began with the younger son. He was nor a soldier nor ruthless for the world it needed him to be."

Mr. Barui drank a glass full of water before continuing again. I guess he was bit thirsty after speaking for so long.

"So this son fell in love with a courtesan. They were warned by many well wishers, he didn't listened to any one & got married going against this world... this society..."

"Dilruba is their child of love, her mother died when she was five year's old due to some incurable disease. And her father also passed away eight year's later, when she was at the age of 13."

"Se found her solace in her father, the last person she could call he own. But, that person has also passed away. She was all lonely and isolated in this world."

"Then one day, some powerful priest cursed her. The one's who are very much radicalized in their religious beliefs, those kind of priests. He wished her death as she had mixed blood in her."

"The curse fated as such that, at the age of 25 she would die."

Mr. Barui was all in tears. I could understand his pain, he was more like a father figure who took care of her for such a long time.

"Please, Mr..Barui don't be sad. The world was a bad place, it is still as bad it was & it will be more horrible in the future. We have to be strong so we can survive."

Mr. Barui replied to me with a nod, while wiping his tears.

"Mr. Barui if you trust me, then I can try to cure Miss. Jahan. I think, I may have a solution."

"You do, you can..."

That man's eyes were all glittering in hope.

"But.."

"But what..."

With a frown, he replied. "We have nothing else to pay you back for your service."

"No problem, I am not asking anything for now. I'll ask when the time is right. Will it be okey then."

He nodded like a kid, with a happy smile.

I chuckled to his reaction and asked him to take me back to Miss. Jahan's room.

I took out one healing potion vile from my inventory and fed it to Dilruba & then waited for the reaction.

It works on me as the 'Host' of the system but I was not sure for the people of this world who were foreign elements.

She jolted in her bed. Some changes were happening inside her body it could be understood. I fed her 3 more viles to see some rapid reaction.

After an hour, she woke up from her sleep. Like a renewed person, who has woken up from a long night's sleep.

"I feel so..."

"Good?" I asked her in a wary tone..

She said, "yes, in a long time. I haven't felt like this."

System notification confirmed me about the cure. I was bit relived on listening to it.

I was happy, as she was ok. Plus, this experiment worked. So, now I can heal anyone with this new learned power.

She said, "Mr. Rahul, you have helped us in so many ways... but we have nothing else to pay you in gratitude.

I smiled a bit & replied her back, " As I said, to Mr. Barui. I'll ask in time when it's needed. So, you don't have to worry about it anymore."

"For now rest well. And hope to see you in full vigor within a week. Take care for now & goodbye. "

It was time for me to reach "Pyaasa" as my 7 days have finished. I'll have to check out on the landlord also.

Mr. Barui praised me a lot while going towards the exit. I guess, he was too happy for the outcome & he took a promise from me about having lunch in their place. As goodwill or token of friendship.

-----

While, I was chugging down a glass of beverage in 'Pyaasa'. A man came from zamindars place, to invite me as the landlord has came back from his trip. I paid my due bills and bid adieu to Rehmat & continued on.

From the inside, the house was nicely decorated and had a royal touch. The walls were adored with stuffed animals, hides & tusks. Musket rifles, swords, spears, shields were hanged in walls as decorative pieces. The curtains had a unique combination of colour & design. The cellings were adorned with huge chandeliers. The floors had nice artistic designs to match the ambience. In one word it was "nostalgic".

Surya Singha with his trusted nayeb greeted me warmly. I didn't had to wait too long, as if I had I wouldn't mind. To accompany me, I had a cosy seat made of silk and cotton. Plus, a very refreshing glass of beverage.

I smiled back to them.

" So, you are Mr. Rahul. I have heard a lot of things about you."

"Bad things obviously."

Surya Singha laughed & said "No. no not at all. A warrior should keep a trail wherever he goes. Or how else the history going to remember him."

I nodded to his response, what could I say more. When the man is praising me in such a way. I thought why not enjoy it a bit, when we can.

"So.."

Before he could say anything his trusted nayeb spoke something in his ears in a muffled tone.

"I'm such a fool, I guess I'm truly getting old. Thanks Mr. Prabin for reminding me."

"Mr. Rahul we're chatting here for a such a long time. Without asking you to join for breakfast. Please, sir come join us in breakfast."

"Business can wait but breakfast carnot, so please this way..."
