Chapter 11

Gathered in an empty lounge, everyone takes a seat around their own group.

"So… how are we going to do this, Adam senpai?" Ritsuko was unsure where to go from here and immediately turn to Adam for help.

"Well, why don't we start with an introduction? Its important for everyone to know one another for a smoother cooperation especially in battle. I will start with myself." Adam said and stood up, towering over everyone as his intimidating presence appeared.

"I am Adam Black. Just call me Adam for short. I am just a mercenary now and somehow find myself in Chaldea. As for my capability… let's just say I am proficient in all kind of weapon and able to using formidable magecraft too."

Throughout his introduction, Archer, Cu and Saber all have something to say about the degree of downplay Adam did in introducing himself.

Just a mercenary? Archer have something to say after gleaming at the history on his Titansword.

Proficient in all kind of weapon? Saber isn't convinced that's all it is to his claim.

Using formidable magecraft? Cu know the truth. Those Warp Sorcery isn't even magic. Much less magecraft.

"The one next to me is my auxiliary, Alina. Someone who accompanied me basically throughout my entire journey before ending up here."

Alina puffed her chest out with pride when she is introduced. Basically brimming with it at her role which she did with joy and satisfaction.

"As for the wolf, she is Sif. Also one of my companions. She might look cute and cuddly. But I assure you that she is equally lethal and ferocious in battle."

Sif actually copied Alina and put one of her paw on her chest before looking back at Alina for her approval. In which Alina nod and Sif barked happily.

"Well, it's our turn next." Ritsuko said and stood up immediately like she is being called out by her teacher in class. Mash also follow her senpai and stood up while she is twiddling her thumb nervously.

"I am Fujimaru Ritsuko or just Ritsuko for short. I'm not good in anything yet but I'll try my best to learn and be useful in battle as a proper Master." Ritsuko made her introduction before flashing Adam with a smile of confidence unlike her from a while back.

"Ah! Next is me… I am Mash Kyrielight. A Demi-Servant of Shielder Class. I also will do my best and learn to be better, senpai." She bowed her head in a panic to the Servants who she see also as her senpai since they are proper servant unlike her who barely even able to use her Noble Phantasm.

"Well, no need to be too stiff. I, as you already know, is Cu Chulainn and a Lancer. If there's any difficult fight, you can count on me." He said and give a thumbs up.

Then next is Saber.

"I am Servant Saber, Artoria Pendragon. You can also count on me on battle. I will definitely not disappoint." She said before giving Alina a meaningful look and sat down.

Next is Archer.

"Ah. Me next. I am Servant Archer. As for name, you call me Archer. Although my main speciality is long range support, I am also proficient with blades."

"Specialty is long range support my ass. What kind of Archer can wield their blade as good as a Saber." Cu grumbles in his corner and pout.

"Last one is me. I am Servant Assassin, Hassan-i-Sabbah or Hassan of the Cursed Arm. I am good at scouting, infiltration and assassination. Pleased to meet you all." He made a curt bow after introducing himself and then sat down.

"Good. With introduction out of the way. Let's talk about activities." Adam took lead of the conversation again and shared what he learned from discussing with Romani.

"For residence. Each of you can choose any empty room to be your own. There is plenty of them to go around."

"Next, the second. Or technically the First Singularity is still being observed by Dr Romani. Until it stabilized and we have sufficient energy to Rayshift, all of us have plenty of free time which you can spend on your own wish. Either training in the simulation room or have fun in the game rooms. It's up to you."

"Lastly, let's not bring any past grudge or rivalry into the halls of Chaldea. The staff is already overworked enough we don't want to add more to their workload. Anyone that have problem with that can come with me to the training room. We can settle it there." He said while eyeing Cu and Archer in particular.

"That is reasonable." Archer nods, agreeing with what Adam had said.

"Any objections? No? Good. Everyone is dismissed. Also, don't forget to visit the cafeteria during meal time. We serve three times a day. Although, we are understaffed too. So, any volunteers is welcomed."

When food is mentioned, a glint flashes through Saber's eyes meanwhile Archer is rubbing his chin, thinking about the recruitment for kitchen staff said by Adam.

After everyone is dismissed. Adam left for his room and going to do his daily meditation routine to be attune to this new Warp which is calm and peaceful unlike the Warp in the previous universe.

But the price for a peaceful and calm Warp is it's weaker effect when Adam tries to harness it's power. Its like comparing a stormy sea with a calm one. To fix that, he need to attune himself to this nascent Warp just like one would attune a newly bought musical instrument.

After the group of three including Adam left, the rest of them didn't left and instead waits until Adam exited the lounger entirely before they gather on a table to continue a different discussion.

"Hey, Archer. You know something about your Master right? Spill it out. I pretty much guarantee all of us is very curious about it." Cu said while sitting in a very laid-back manner and point is finger at everyone except Hassan who expression hidden by his mask.

Ritsuka and Mash immediately nodded fervently and looking at Archer with their curious and eager look.

"I am curious about it too, Archer. It's impossible for human to best me in combat just like that. No, I refuse to believe he is anything but normal human when his kick hit harder than Berserker." Saber shudder as the phantom pain flares up.

"Well, he actually revealed something to us before the Servant summoning." Ritsuko said which directed the attention to her.

"Hoh. So, what is it? Is he a god's bastard or something?" Cu eagerly lean closer to Ritsuko.

"Maybe. He did said he had been alive for over ten thousand years and fought over a million battle." Ritsuko recall hia words carefully.

"Is that so…" Saber mutter before she fell into her own contemplation.

"Ten thousand years? How is he still sane?" Cu gasped and recall the figure of her own mentor.

As for Archer, he is still in silence. Not opening his mouth to spill any details. But from what he heard from Ritsuko, he can confirm many things that he is unsured of. After all, the only information he has about Adam is the period of time he spent wielding the Titansword. Which is a lot. But also a lot of holes because Titansword isn't the only weapon Adam uses.

"It's your turn, Archer." Cu still waiting for Archer to talk.

"Fine. Bear in mind, I also not entirely sure about the information I seen with my ability. But if what I seen is true. Then, the existence of Adam Black is a human from the far and far grim dark future of humanity. To be exact, the year humanity had reach the 30th Millennium where humanity had spread far and wide, conquering the Milky Way galaxy with population reaching the quadrillion."

While many other gasped in surprise and shock, a voice came from under the table before Da Vinci suddenly slid herself up on an empty seat.

"Please continue, Archer. What else do you know about him?" Da Vinci asked while tapping her pen on her note book.

"Da Vinci-san? Since when are you hiding under the table?" Mash received a scare when Da Vinci appeared out of nowhere.

"Since the moment he left. My invisibility didn't work on him after all. Now, what about we continue the discussion, Archer? What else do you know about him?" Da Vinci stared at Archer with the madness of all pursuer of knowledge has, like a bottomless abyss that want to swallow you whole.

"Let see… the sword, Titansword is actually a badge of office. A relic of the elite Daemon Hunter knight order, The Grey Knights Legion. Master is the leader of this knight order, the Supreme Grand Master and the Titansword is proof of his status. From what scenes I can see, he and his knight order often fight and cleanse worlds of demonic hordes and not unusual to wage century long campaign deep inside the hell itself." Archer said much to his own disbelief. If not because he knew his ability isn't playing tricks with him and seeing all those scenes himself, he might dismissed them as mere fairytale or story of a drunken man.

As for the other, they cannot even begin to digest on the information. Cleansing worlds? He is fighting on a battlefield that span an entire worlds? Waging century long campaign deep inside hell?

Those are legend worthy for the Throne of Heroes. If it isn't, then the rest of them might as well just be bunch of clowns running a circus.

"Hmn. Hmn. What else? What else? The sword, the armour. What kind of technology they are using?" Da Vinci is basically blushing and gasping like she was writing a smut novel instead of recording information about Adam.

"Sorry. Even if I can look at those processes used to craft the blade. I cannot even begin to comprehend how they work. It's a combination of extremely advanced technology, complicated ritual, alchemy and plainly incomprehensible Arcane process in each and every step of the process that make my head hurt just trying to watch." Archer apologized and refused to talk anymore as his head hurts.

"No. No. This much is plenty to work with for now. We can continue this discussion in the future." Da Vinci said before happily skipping her way out of the lounge.
