Tomb angels

Except for Yao Wang and Damian, whose mental realm was developed enough to feel and manage the demonic energy wave that contained an energy fragment that causes hypnosis to those who couldn't fight them, their consciousness was seized throughout the moments that they were traveling.

It was a 27-second trip through the portal, which was way longer than his previous life, as that one only lasted for about eleven seconds before he arrived there.

He cast a cold glance at the other raiders; everyone was hypnotized except Damian, and both of them had jammed gazes and suspected the other.

"This dude is the youngest among us. How is he managing to stay okay? *sigh* This is getting pretty interesting." Damian reminisced before temporarily shutting his eyes.

Yao Wang, on the other hand, was taken aback by the discovery that someone was fine despite all of this demonic energy.

"I sensed something unusual about this dude back then, and I'm pretty sure that what I sensed wasn't wrong. '

Yao Wang came from a kingdom called the Jade Leopard Kingdom, and he was supposed to be a prince, but after his parents died, his uncles took over the throne and became the reigning king of the Jade Leopard Kingdom, which consists of 40+ notable clans and several hundred families.

Wang Chung took Yao Wang and fled to a faraway kingdom. In order to survive, Wang Chung, at the tender age of 13, joined a mercenary group and completed little missions to take care of Yao Wang.

While they were growing up, a villainous clan emerged, "The Sacred Demon Clan", who directly opposed the righteous cultivators. They were so popular at that time, immediately gaining the apathy of the righteous, but no matter what happened, the righteous could not take them down.

When Wang Chung was executed and killed, Yao Wang was just 7. He was then adopted into the sacred demon clan who made him known to the demonic path. Yao Wang was the one who chose the evil and not the ones teaching him.

As a member of that clan, he got everything he ever wanted, but when he was just 15, a war was fought which made the sacred demon clan disperse.

Yao Wang thought they were dead, seeing someone having their blood in him changed his decision....

But if the sacred clan is still alive, then why aren't they popular?

That was the thought he had before they finally exited the portal and arrived at the place.

This place happens to be another dimension, as they had expected, but it was larger than they had ever imagined.

Where they are right now was a vast land covered with a doom-shaped energy field that started from where they were and covered a radius of more than 60km.

Everyone looked everywhere, and they felt their hearts move from fear, for the ominous energy here carried with it an aura of death and negativity.

"Is this really a tomb?"

Someone inquired out of fear as she grabbed her shoulder as though she was feeling cold.

Lin Tian viewed the place coldly. This place, just as the lady said, was pretty different from the description of the tomb.

The largest tomb that has appeared was a tower with 124 floors, but this place wasn't even a tower but a vast land filled with strangely structured caves.

"The legacy alter is just a few kilometers from here. I can feel the presence of it and something that normally doesn't exist here."

Yao Wang whispered into the air.

The raiders here are 47 in number. It was initially planned to be 40, but because of the extra seven sent by the Immortal squadron clan, it became like that.

One of the men from the Immortal squadron clan wielding twin sabers gathered the other Immortal squadron clansmen and whispered something. As he whispered, his eyes did not fail to notice Damian, who had begun smirking all the time.

The group proceeded to walk, but immediately they took a step forward, their feet causing a trap set in the ground to activate and..

Several feet away,

Gigantic humanoids with large protruding horns appeared, with their bodies as red as blood, their horns red, their hands were sharp and had the appearance of a sword.

"Mortttaaalllllss!"

Unexpectedly, they could speak!

"You have made the wrong choice by invading this dimension with your measly strength."

Their grammar was difficult to understand because they pronounced a few words incorrectly.

"The tomb angels guarding the legacy!"

Yao Wang muttered with a smile. Out of everyone, he was the only one with calm composure at the moment while staring at the tomb angels, which numbered up to twelve, three more than the ones back then.

(Brief history: It's believed that the number of tomb angels in the demonic faction is based on the realms that the creator has transcended.)

(A/N: Because tomb angels rust after being idle for a long time, their realm was higher and continued to fall lower immediately after their creation and idleness.)

"For none of you have the right to be here, and invading requires you to make a sacrifice... with your lives."

The power of the tomb angels was estimated to be in the lord realm, but the rank was unknown.

"Demons!"

The Immortal squadron clan yelled furiously like they had seen a foe. They behaved more like lunatics. They drew out their weapons and charged at the tomb angels, who released strange roars and charged as well, but they did not only charge at the Immortal squadrons but also at the other raiders.

Emelia, who was nearby, got scared out of her wit. Her legs rooted on the ground refused to move and even if she could, escape was not an option as tombs can only be exited once the legacy has been found or when one dies.

Lin Tian brought out a silvery halberd which released bluish sparks of lightning.

On the other hand, Damian's hands got wrapped in reddish energy.

Boom 

The ten Immortal squadrons clashed with five tomb angels, and they were pushed back with immersive force.

The tomb angels attacked the immortal squadron more ferociously than they attacked the others with their bladed hands.

"They are pretty strong!"

The Immortal squadron stood up disheveled, from just a clash, one of them having even lost his hands.

On the other hand, Damian attacked one of the tomb angels, and after a few rounds of combat, he killed it and sucked it into his hands.

This dude is actually from the Sacred Demon Clan. That's their royal bloodline technique, the body devourer that can only be learnt by those with their bloodline. I tried practicing it back then, but the after effects were too drastic for someone with the royal sacred demon bloodline.

As he thought, the battle between the tomb angels and the tomb raiders continued. 

There are 12 tomb angels. Two of them have been taken down by Lin Tian, who used awesome martial arts coupled with flawless control of lightning, while three have fallen and been sucked by Damian, who used red energy to fight.

But the loss on the tomb raider part was even more. Out of 47, 7 had already been killed and their bodies were devoured by the tomb angels.

All this while, Yao Wang did not move an inch, but then, one of the tomb angels discovered Emelia standing beside someone to protect and took it like, "Oh...this mortal is pretty powerful, let me check it out" and with the speed of a lord, he charged at him with his bladed hands.

'A troublemaker, I guess!'

Yao Wang smirked as he leaped into the sky and threw his fist, which was wrapped in dark energy, at the tomb angel.

Boom 

Just one punch made the tomb raider lose consciousness and fall like a lunatic on the ground.

Yao Wang, still smiling mischievously, walked up to him and picked him up with his bare hand while hovering in the air.

He used a mind reading technique on it, to read about the memories and, of course, the passwords to certain places.

After that, he used ferocious absorption of life to absorb the lingering life energy from the tomb angel.

The other tomb angels saw this and flew into a rage, and they made him their main adversary, but he just gazed at them with a smile as he moved his fist as if challenging them to a duel.

"Despicable mortal, you don't know how deep hell is..."

"Roarrrr, mortal, you are courting death."
