Figures of two people hurriedly dashed through the vast forest as they pant heavily, stopping momentarily catching their breath.
"sister, i'm scared" the little girl uttered apprehensive of her surroundings.
"d-don't worry aria i-i'm beside you after a-all" her sister responded as she became anxious of what might happen inside this dangerous forest.
They proceeded to keep walking through the forest below the night sky. while they traveled through the forest they heard eerie sounds that sent shivers down their spine.
"s-sister I'm really scared" aria uttered anxiously.
"m-me too, but w-we need to keep g-going" her sister replied as she felt uneasy as she felt they were being followed.
She felt her uneasiness grew stronger as they continued to walk, until she took a hold of aria's hand and hastily dragged her as though running away from something.
"s-sister, w-what's happening?! why are we running?!" aria expressed startled by her sister's sudden action.
"just keep running!!" her sister replied anxiously.
they kept on relentlessly running but was suddenly halted as she felt aria froze on her tracks.
"aria?! w-why did you stop?" she looked at aria, who were standing still as if she was stuck to the ground.
She felt something was wrong as she saw aria's face were pale white as snow before she looked down at her legs, but what befell her eyes were a vine like thing wrapping her little sister's legs and slowly crawling up to her waist.
she was horrified, but she immediately took a hold of the vine and struggled to untangle the vine, alas she wasn't able to while the vine were already covering aria's body.
The vine wrapping aria's body slowly lifted her up a little as it slowly moved towards the direction where it came from.
"Sis...ter..." she cried out in fear, her voice filled with dread, as she was slowly pulled deeper into the forest by the mysterious vine.
"A-aria!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with urgency, as she sprinted after her little sister, only to find the vine dragging her accelerating its relentless pull.
After relentlessly running after her little sister, she finally caught up to them. However, her face contorted with horror as she witnessed the vine that held her sister emanating from a tree, its twisted visage exuding a terrifying presence.
"W-what is...this?" she stammered in a voice filled with terror, her eyes fixated on the abomination that kept her sister captive.
"H-Help me, s-sister," Aria uttered, tears streaming down her cheeks, her voice filled with desperation and a profound sense of dread as she contemplated the potential horrors that awaited her.
Her body seized with fear, she felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness and powerlessness as her eyes fixated on her little sister being lifted into the air, the vine tightly clasping her, and inexorably drawing her closer to the tree's sinister maw.
Tears fell down her cheeks as she apprehended what was about to unfold, her eyes filled with anguish.
"A-Aria!!" she exclaimed, summoning every ounce of her determination, she sprinted towards the monstrous entity gripping her sister, launching herself forward in a desperate attempt to rescue her.
She propelled herself upwards, reaching for the vine that tightly clasped her sister, seizing it with determination. With fierce resolve, she sank her teeth into the vine, hoping to liberate her little sister from the clutches of the monstrous entity.
However, in an unfortunate turn of events, she was struck by another vine, forcefully propelling her away from them. The impact caused her right arm to fracture, and a branch from a fallen tree pierced through her left leg, causing a severe injury as she coughed up a mouthful of blood.
"AAAAAHHHH" She let out an ear-piercing scream, her voice echoing through the air, as her body succumbed to numbing pain.
"sister!!!" aria yelled, desperately trying to free herself from the tree's grasp, she tried everything from using her nail to biting it, but to her disappointment nothing worked.
As the vine ensnared her, steadily drawing her nearer to the ominous maw of the tree, an unexpected tendril extended from her left, encircling her arm before wrenching it away from her body in one swift, brutal motion.
"AAAAAHHHHH" aria let out a shrill resonating throughout the forest as blood gushed out from her severed arm before losing consciousness from the pain she felt.
All while her sister lie down unable to move as her body felt like being crushed by a boulder, she slowly opened her eyes though blurry, but to her horror she saw her little sister's arm being severed by another vine that came from another tree, crawling around using it's roots.
This scene made her desperate to move as she witnessed her little sister in agony.
"A-Ar...ia..." she murmured faintly as she struggled to crawl with her weakened body. but she couldn't move from her position as her left leg hindered her movements.
after struggling for a few moments her consciousness slowly faded but she caught a glimpse of something moving in high speed as it slashed the monstrous tree.
"ey...you.....kay?" she heard a feminine voice before slowly falling unconscious.
"Lenn!!! we need to heal this girl fast!!" a bulky man clad in armor with a shield on his back yelled.
"g-got it!! Lugen take care of her for a minute." responded the young maiden in white robe as she made sure aria's sister is fine.
she approached aria as she pointed her staff at her, it emitted bright light as it covers her body stopping the blood from flowing out.
"she should be fine now, but there's nothing i can do with her lost arm." she said as she gritted her teeth.
"it's fine, it's already good they're alive" uttered a another woman as she gazed at the siblings with her sharp eyes.
"Can't you see their condition?! How dare you say that?" she yelled, her anger evident in her voice.
The woman just looked at her then the unconscious siblings as she walked away.
"This is not the moment for us to be fighting amongst ourselves."he stated, Lugen's stern voice resonated as he locked eyes with the siblings.
Everyone went silent as they walked to their desired position and rested. the night passed by with nothing else hindering their rest.
