Chapter 48
Keinichi was full with anticipation for the talk with Mrs Feng. He kept thinking all posibility topic that the lady would bring up and prepared the answer in his head. He also prepared for the worst, such as if she told him that her daughter had arranged married or asked him to stay away from her. However, after waiting for about two weeks, Mrs Feng had not done it yet.
There was few time that he thought to initiate the talk. However he did not do it, Since she forget there is no need for me to remind her, isn't it ?.
It was friday, five days after her brothers and parents returned home. Keinichi and Cacha did not go to work together for the first time ever. He had to go to inspect the progress of the project while she had to attent meeting in the office.
Cacha was woken up by ring from her phone.
"Hello" she answered without checking the caller id.
"Happy birthday little girl" Alice said sweetly.
"Thank you eldest sister"
"What are doing ?"
"Just woke up"
"Opps sorry.. I forgot the time difference. Any plan tonight ?
"No" Cacha said sleepily.
"Will you have birthday dinner with your Oniichan ?" Alice teased.
Cacha laughed "Eldest sister stop teasing me !I won't see him today"
"Why ?"
"He has to go to the project side and go to Geneva this afternoon" Cacaha knew his schedule well, he told her few days ago.
"ah. doesn't he know today is your birthday ?"
"I don't think so"
"Don't be sad my dear. By the way, I am going to move house mid of july"
"why do you guys have to move out. Mum and Dad will lonely" Cacha was sad. Her mum and her sister in law were very close, she expected her sister in law would help them to look aftwr their parwnt since she and her sister were overseas.
"to give our place to Sean and Jasmine. They are going to marry early august. We are busy preparing it now"
"Really ? how come so fast ?" Cacha was startled.
"Well, Mum is afraid that Jasmine will pregnant soon"
"Ah..." Cacha was stunned.
"Girl, may be, I said may be. I will come to visit you next month" Alice tried to surpress her excitement.
"Really ?" Cacha was very happy.
"Your brother has a new project offer in German. If he got it, I'll go with him then I can come to your place"
"Yay !!!" Cacha screamed happily.
"I said If, please pray for him" Alice giggled
"he get it for sure. My brother is the best. When ? when will you come here ?" Cacha could not wait.
"Not sure. I'll let you know as soon as he signs it. by the way, you have to come home for Sean wedding. Fred will organise your leave. I need to go now."
"ok"
"Happy birthday.. love you" Alice sent her kiss before the call ended.
Cacha had a busy day. She had few meeting in a day and On top of that, one by one, all her siblings called her to wish her a happy birthday. She was very glad with her family love evenhotugh her parents had not had time to call her yet. Mr Nad Mrs Feng were very busy, they were out the whole day looking for wedding evenue for Sean and Jasmine.
Keinichi had a busy day as well. He only had time to take a rest and check his phone during lunch time. He checked his email first when he notice there was a notification on his facebook. He had not had many friends on his facebook and he had been inactive for years. Nevertheless he checked it and stunned. It was birthday notificatiom
"Damnit !" He really forgot about her birthday. The worst thing was he promised to meet his father in Geneva that evening .
He dialed his father secretary "tell him that I can't meet him tonight. lets arrange other time to meet"
Cache left her office a little bit late. He did it by porpose aa she was sad that she had no one to celebrate her birthday. rcah year, Her family was always around her but not this year. "Happy birthday To me.. Happy brothday to me" she sang with low voice inside the elevator since she was alonr there. She inhaled a deep breath and smiled before stepped out from the elevator. She walked toward the front door and stunned to see Keinichi was there. She shook her head as she tought she was dreaming.
Keinichi smiled and waived at her while walking closer. He was glad that she was still in the office.
"why did you work until this late ?:
"Oniichan ? don't you suppose to go to Geneva and back tomorrow morning ?"
He chuckled "It has been cancelled"
"Why ?"
"It is not important. Do you have something to do now?" he asked.
Cacha shook her head.
"Ok then. Do you fancy to have dinner with me ?"
She smiled brightly "Of Course".
"Yes ! finally, I have some one with me on my birthday" She screamed happily inside.
15 minutes later, they arrived at a high class restaurant.
"Onichan, Can we find other place ?"
"Why ?"
"My clothes is very plain" Cacha was embrassed since she just wore a normal office attire.
"It doesn't matter" He pulled her inside.
"But.."
"Lets go" He seized her hand and walked to the receptionist.
"Hi, I made preservation under Keinichi" He spoke in Switzerland fluently with a male waitress.
"Sure. Table of two ?"
"Yes please. has someone deliver cake for me yet ?"
"Yes sir"
"I want the cake in the middle of your dinning"
"We will do sir"
The waitress then directed them to their table. Once Keinichi and Cacha sat down, the waitress handed out the menu and left. They read the menu and Cacha put hers down shortly.
"Have you decided what to eat ?" He asked.
"No. I don't understand the menu" Cacha said honestly.
"Oniichan, this restaurant must be very inexpensive. Lets go to other place" When she read the menu, she was very shock with the meal price. It was more than double than regular restaurant.
He chuckled " It's on me. order what ever you want"
"Well, I have no idea. I don't undestand the language" She pursed her lips
Keinichi put his menu and smiled at her "What do you prefer ? Seafood, beef, lamb or pork ?".
Cacha had a tough "Beef. you don't eat seafood, so no one can help me of I can't finish it"
"I only have mild alergy to prawn. ok, I'll choose it for you"
He called the waitress and placed the order. Cacha really had no idea what the food that he ordered was. The name were sound weird to her.
"Do you mind if we have red wine ? meat goes well with wine" He asked her.
"I just drink a little"
"That's great" he added red wine on his order before the waitres went away.
